Billionaire Obsession

She was feeling tired after a whole day of standing and serving customers,her boss had made her work past her time today and that had made her to miss her bus, and there was not a single cab in sight. So, she had to walk all the way home, stopping to pat the homeless dog head. Getting home to her two room apartment she had to live in since the death of her parents, the room was quite small, she sighed, well that's the only thing she can afford right now, after dropping out of school cause there was no one to pay for the fees, she had to search immediately for a job to survive. And luckily for her she found one at a small eatery as a server,thou the pay wasn't that great she needed it to save money and go back to school. Tossing her worn out bag on the chair, she went inside to freshen up and then went into the kitchen to prepare egg sandwich. Setting the food on the table she opened her phone and was scrolling through. Suddenly remembering her dead parents, she didn't know when the tears started dropping until a drop landed on her phone screen, she immediately wiped it off, not wanting to remember the past she stood up and went to bed hoping for sleep to take her away but she couldn't sleep, she kept on recalling that faithful day they had all gone to celebrate her graduating from high school, her parents we're not rich but they were comfortable, her parents tried to provide for all her needs, she had never lacked a single thing, and so when she suggested that they celebrate her graduating in a grand style, her parents agreed and they all went that particular day to "KINGS DINNER" a well known eatery for the rich, they had eaten their meal and her parents had told her to wait, they were going across the street to get her a present. Close to an hour she's been waiting but they never came back, she stood up to go and check on them, and then she saw a large crowd in front of the mall, she wasn't interested in taking a look cause her mom has constantly reminded her that minding one's business was really worth it, but then she was hearing peoples voice "a man and a woman" "poor souls" "a hit and run situation" "driver was on a high speed". She just couldn't stand it and what she was scared of was actually a reality. lying on the floor was both her parents in a pool of their own blood, she had cried for long and was constantly hitting herself madly until she fainted. When she had woken up and had realized that she was now an orphan, she thought to herself "was that her parents gift for her". and then she had wished that they hadn't gone out that faithful day, she had cried begging the doctor to give her a pill so she can sleep for a long time and wake up to see her parents. they had all comforted her and helped her with the burial and then everyone had gone back home forgetting everything but she knew that was not going to be possible for her no matter how hard she tried, she had love them so much and she knew she was forever going to keep them engraved in her heart, she........ Startled, she opened her eyes, and the tears were still at the corners of her eyes, then she checked her time it was 7:20, she hadn't intended to sleep in and knew her boss was going to be mad at her.... Standing up from the bed, she rushed to the bathroom and showered, she rushed out quickly, dressed In a pair of worn out jeans and a top with her boot on, looking in the mirror with a satisfied smile she took her handbag and rushed out closing the door behind her. Waiting at the door was Mr Grec her shrewd boss, staring down at her with displeasure written all over his face, he said "miss Alexis what's the time on your phone" "I'm so sorry Mr Grec, I slept...." "No excuses, just get in there and start working but know this there's going to be a reduction in your pay" he said while working out. Tired of begging him, alexis walked inside but there was no customers yet "what are you staring at, go to the kitchen and do the dishes" Jane her colleague said Alexis sighed deeply that's how she's always been treated, doing the work she wasn't meant to do. sighing once again as she immersed her hand into the soapy water,scrubbing the plates until her hands ached. when she was done, she went out and sat on a chair while jane was preparing the meals, taking out her phone she was scrolling seeing some of her high school classmates pics of them in college already, tears welled up in her eyes once again she would have been like them now, she had so much wanted to be a doctor but all that dreams now wasn't going to come true. "Are you here to work or mope around" she heard Jane said, she stood up quickly cleaning the tears off her eyes, "I'm so sorry" she apologized "Don't be sorry, we've customers" she said angrily. Going over to the customer table, she saw a man and a lady talking, it seems like the lady was pissed off, but the man just kept looking at the phone in his hand. "you're welcome to our restaurant, please place your order" she said giving them the menu. The lady snatched the menu staring at it, after what seems like a while she threw it down and looked at alexis with her glaring eyes. "Is this the sort of meal you prepare here, gosh it doesn't look appetizing" "Rex let's go, they don't have anything special here" she said to the man sitting with her. Not looking at her he replied" we've been to two restaurants now, you still can't find what you wanna eat, order anything or I'll go back to the company, I'm so busy". he replied back not sparing the woman a glance. Feeling frustrated the lady picked up the menu and placed her order while crossing her legs together. Alexis took the menu hurriedly and went to bring the food, Jane arranged the meal and handed it to Alexis, who took it over to the table. when she dropped the food the lady scanned the food and the next thing she did was to throw the food on Alexis body "ahhhhhh" Alexis screamed cleaning the food off her body...it was so hot that her skin turned red immediately. "What the hell are you giving me...I ordered pizza not this crap you're serving me" "But you told me to get you coffee and burger and this is it" "Are you trying to justify yourself now huh" "I was just trying to explain.....ahhhh" bianca slapped Alexis on the face not giving her a moment to talk. By now Mr Grec and Jane had come out and was staring at them "What the hell do you take me for....I can just lock up this restaurant right this moment" she breathe "We're so sorry miss, it was all our worker fault........... Alexis couldn't take it anymore, all she heard was this was all in her, how could this be her fault, she hasn't done anything wrong...her cheeks were hot and she could still hear Mr Grec pleading, she looked at the guy beside the lady, he has a smirk on his face while looking at her, she has never been slapped in her entire life and these two rude customers had come all the way to spoil her day....she couldn't take it anymore....walking towards the lady she lifted her hand and gave her a resounding slap.....everyone went quiet, Rex blinked his eyes "What the hell" bianca shouted and tried to slap Alexis back but her hand was held by Alexis "I don't know who the hell you're miss but don't mess with me, you can't just order for something and change it the next time and on top of that you threw the tea at me, what do you take people as huh" she said in one breathe "let go of my hand please" Bianca begged......Alexis didn't know she had been strangling her hand....she immediately let go of the hand and bianca fell on the floor. "Rex you can't sit and watch this b***h do this to me" she cried Rex was dumbfounded, he looked at the little girl who had slapped his girl friend, she was breathing heavily and her chest was going up and down. shit what was he thinking!!
