Between the sounds, the smells of food and people Zora was in a mood, and not a good one. She typically didn’t like attending super big parties, and I didn’t either. I was walking beside tifani when someone softly grabbed my wrist, I looked over at a stunned Ryan, I smiled turning to look at him “Molly what are you doing here?” He called over the music, I kept my smile but I was a little confused “what do you mean? Ryland told me I could come the other day, I just wanted to surprise him is all, so do you know where he is?” I called back making him stiffen up slight, why was he acting so weird? He shrugged his shoulders after a few seconds “unfortunately I don’t, do you want me to tell him you’re here?” I quickly shook my head “that defeats the point of a surprise!” I replied flashing a grin, he finally smiled “well if it counts I’m happy to see you again, maybe you’ll let me steal you for a dance later.” He said giving me a quick hug,

I met back up with tif and Logan dancing a little with them, trying some foods but something made my stomach turn, like a sudden stomach ache, or maybe it was my chest? Tifani looked over at me slightly confused “hey are you okay? You look kinda pale.” She said taking my hand, I nodded looking back at her “just a faint random pain.” I called back before shrugging it off, the night went on and it was pretty fun, more people left but it was still pretty busy, I noticed a black haired girl glaring at me for a few feet away at a bar top my head tilted slightly but I was never the type to ignore people like that, I bumped tif who looked over for second before nodding letting me know she would keep an eye out. I walked over leaving a few inch gap between us, I ordered a Long Island, since we have a higher tolerance for liquor we can start drinking at 18, it’s not a big deal for our kind. “You have beautiful hair.” The overly sweet voice finally called out I looked over at the woman who was about an inch taller then me “thank you, I love your dress.” I called back making her smile, it was longer in length but a dark shade of red with black sparkles that made it pop well in the light, “I’m Abby” she said reaching out her hand, “Molly, it’s nice to meet you.” I said shaking her hand happily, the air felt stiff for a few minutes between the small talk but I learned she was from Rylands pack, and actually pretty good friends with him, she talked about how it was with him and how he ran things, then we went over my pack, childhood, all the good stuff. We actually started to hit it off and I really liked her, after an hour she ran off to find her mate so I could finally meet him, she spoke highly about him and I was kinda excited, maybe he held rank like ryland. I didn’t tell her that ryland and I were mates yet, she was his pack member and it wasn’t my place to just state something like that. Time went by and I was alone when that stupid chest pain hit me again, a little harder this time, I figured I could try to at least find tif or Logan. I vanished into the crowd making me way through the bodies still dancing around and that’s when it hit me, vinilla mixed with pine. Zora started to prance around excited to see her mate again, I followed the scent for a few seconds to a sitting area. I paused my eyes finally landing on the man I had to admit I was falling for…the only problem was the woman from before was straddling him, his hands holding tightly onto her ass as they were in the middle of a heated make out session . She pulled away her forehead resting against his with a goofy grin “I love you.” She said, he smiled “I love you too.” He mouthed back making the tears run down my cheek, this is why he didn’t want me here, he had a chosen mate… I didn’t even notice I was still staring until his eyes met mine, and he was quick to his feet I quickly backed up shoving my way back through the crowd “Molly wait!” He yelled after me making people move out of his way, I quickly found tifani and Logan who were talking to Ryan and Richard “hey what’s wrong” she said quickly grabbing my shoulders “I’m done I’m leaving it was all dole stupid lie.” I snapped the tears continuously rolling down my cheeks between my breaths “”Molly!” Ryland called making me look over my shoulder, he was only a few feet away and I quickly moved behind Logan, Ryan and Richard moved behind me almost in a protective stance “don’t f*****g come near me!” I snapped, Zoras voice was laced with my own as I looked at Ryan “can you please get me out of here?” I asked, he looked so guilty and I could tell he knew. He nodded placing his hand on my lower back and pushing me through the crowd “just let me talk to her!” Ryland screamed I glanced back, Logan was sizing him up, tifani and Richard were right behind me and Abby was standing behind ryland with a grin. Ryan bent down next to my ear “don’t look back honey” he said quietly making me look forward again, continuing to speed through the building until the cold air filled my burning lungs. The sobs started to roll and I felt like I couldn’t breath, my heart was racing, my head was spinning and nothing made sense. “Molly breath.” Ryan said softly rubbing my back, I looked around people were talking but I couldn’t hear anything. I could see ryland caught up to us and Logan was shoving him away. “Car, I need the keys to the car Logan.” I snapped getting his attention, ryland quickly snatched them from Logan’s hand before he could toss them to me “not until you talk to me.” He said quietly clearly trying to defuse the situation, so I did the only sensible think I could think of.
