“Let’s ride the Ferris wheel and I’ll send you home right after. I promise” his eyes meets her and she nods.
Somehow when he said home, she felt like going to his pad and not her house. They walk silently towards the Ferris wheel and the ride itself was quiet as they set off.
“Can I stay with you tonight?” she asks as her heartbeat increases again. It’s not like she’s never stayed the night before, but somehow tonight feels different.
“Tell your oppa then, my place always welcomes you” he replies as he looks at her who avoids his eye contact. Hyerin nods and texts her brother; telling him as he immediately replies a quick sure and take care.
“He says sure,” she shrugs as she realized that Kai was still gazing at her with soft eyes. The eyes that somehow managed to make her calm and lost just by looking into them.

"Why do you want to be a choreographer and not a professional dancer or performer?" Hyerin asks Kai as she watches him practice for the upcoming school talent show.
"Before I answer that, why do you want to be a kindergarten teacher?" he looks at her face through the mirror with the same questioning stare.
"Because I love kids, I want to teach them new things, good things that are good for their growth" Hyerin answers him even though she knew it had nothing to do with her question.
"There you have it" he went back to doing his moves as he slides from one point to the other. According to him, he can't start the full choreography yet as Sehun was not here.
"It still doesn't answer my question" she skeptically said.
"I wanna teach the younger generation how to dance all kinds of genre just as how you want to teach kids how to be a good person"
"O...k... how about the other one, why not a professional dancer? you are good, both of you are, you can make it if you go for it"
"We both just wanna dance for fun"
"Then why the competitions? If not for fame?"
"For recognization when we became choreographers so they know we are worthy to teach them... fame won't last long, but what you teach can always last long for those who want to remember what was given to them"

“What’s your idea of a dream guy?” Kai suddenly spoke which caught her off guard.
“Huh? My dream guy? Uh… I’m not sure” Hyerin bites the insides of her cheek to think.
“Take your time,” he said and sits closer to her.
“Uh… well” she was too focused on thinking about her dream guy, she didn’t notice Kai came close to her that their knees touched.
“Someone who knows me best inside and out, someone who can be funny yet serious at the same time; he needs to be taller than me that’s for sure because I like a tall guy and since I'm tall myself, that just seems fitting, don't you think? He needs to know how to take the lead sometimes because I know we both aren't going to be perfect and he doesn’t need to be handsome because I don’t really care what he looks like as long as he loves me for me” Hyerin tells Kai truthfully and when her eyes meet his, her heart palpitates again as it always had.
“Ok, I get it” he smiles at her and before she could ask him why he wanted to know, the ride stops and their turn was over.
They exit the Ferris wheel and Kai holds her cold hands in his warm ones. He always had the warmest hands, god Hyerin, get a grip, he's your best friend! Her cheeks pinked at the warm thoughts of Kai.

"Hey!! Get off of me!" a 5-year-old Hyerin yells at the skinny boy that suddenly fell on top of her as she was about to go towards the tables of toys.
It was the 1st day of kindergarten and already it was a mess as many kids were running around even though their moms are there to watch over till noon.
"Sorry... I didn't mean it" the boy says as he got up and as he rubs the back of his neck awkwardly.
"It's okay... but you were heavy... how did you fall anyway?" she smiles at the shy boy, already forgetting about the fact that the boy was on top of her.
"Those kids pushed me" he timidly points out to the slightly bigger boys who are running around holding onto their shiny toy cars.
"Oh, those kids are always like that, going around like they own the place... it's okay, we're fine now" she smiles brightly at him but he blushed at that.
"I guess" he looks away from her, she tilts her head, confused.
"I'm Choi Hyerin, nice to meet you" she puts her hand forward as the boy was quiet and he looks at her in surprise.
"Don't you want to tell me your name and shake my hand? It's getting tired from holding out for too long" she pouts at him and he immediately took her hanging hand.
"I...I’m… I'm Kim Jongin” he shakes her hand and she squeezes his in return with a big smile on her face.
"Jongin... let's be best friends!" she says and jumps around happily.
