As they kept on walking, there were no pop-out ghosts so far and Hyerin was happy and thankful for that. The things that have kept her guard up so far were the stupid float props that were extremely disturbing and annoyingly scary to her.
Kai, on the other hand, is more immersed with her than the props because she affects him more than some stupid props. It reminded him of the times where he had bought her to that abandoned building back during their high school times.
“We’re almost at the end, don’t worry, you’ll be ok” Kai whispers into her ears softly as he felt her hold around his waist tighten. She nods softly against his chest and somehow took in his scent, strangely it always had this calming effect on her.

"Kim Jongin!" she yells as she felt scared, he left her all alone after bringing her here again.
"Yah! Where are you!? Why am I here?" he still didn't come back and there was no sign of him anywhere.
"Kai! If this is your way of celebrating my birthday, then forget it! I'm never going to get over my fears!" her throat was sore from screaming and she slumps down on the dirty floor.
"I hate you! Ahhhh!" she whines and screams as something jumps from behind the broken door.
The action woke Hyerin up with beats of sweats rolling down her face as she felt Kai shaking her shoulders softly, waking her up from her nap.
"Just a dream Hye, wake up!" she opens her eyes and looks at Kai with tears in her eyes.
"Hye?" he asks, confused.
"Don't ever leave me in that creepy place" she cries and Kai just coaxes her to relax, thought confused, he went with it and knows that she's going to explain later.

“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” She yells and runs off when a mummy and vampire suddenly chases after them leaving Kai behind confused. He shook his head with a small laugh at her silliness and he runs after her too.
“Rin-ah!! Wait up!!” he calls out and runs past the 2 figured monsters by the exit. The same ones that caused her to run away from his hold.
“Hye! You ok?” he asks worriedly when he found her pale and lifeless on the bench outside of the haunted house.
The image itself looked like her soul had left her body and the only thing present was her limping figure, he tried to hold in his laughter when he saw that.
“I wanna go home” she sulked and pouts as Kai smiles and sits next to her. He pulls her in softly and she just lets him hugs her, coaxing her to feel calm again.
“Sorry I couldn’t protect you,” he said softly before he kisses her on the forehead softly and warmly as she could feel the heat radiating from his lips on her forehead. She could also feel her heartbeat increased as Kai lets his lips rest there for some time.

"Hyerin!" she panicked as she heard his voice, her pace speed up to find a place to escape down the empty hallway.
"Choi Hyerin!!" he calls again as she could feel him running as well the moment she started to sprint.
She didn't want to face him as she had successfully avoided the male for 3 days after the incident. According to his cousin, he was desperate to find her and make her talk, he didn't understand what he did wrong.
Shit! she cursed under her breath as she can hear him as he yells out to her, she had come early for these past days, not caring that she had to get up and walk alone to school if it meant she could be away from him.
The hallways were empty thank god for that, so there were no prying eyes to see them acting like this, they were both early, he had figured out her plan!
"Gotcha!" he screams and just as Hyerin was about to retaliate against his hold on her waist, he throws her over his shoulders, as he always has, an efficient way to put her in place as he once mentioned.
"Why are you running away from me Hyerin?" he asks with a pleading tone and annoyance written on his face as he places her down and puts his hands on her waist.
“Who says I’m running away from you?”
“Really? So what were we doing? Exercising down the hallway?” his gaze turns hard and she visibly gulp down her saliva.
“Uh… well… we can say that…” she bits her bottom lips as she replies, ignoring his hard gaze on her.
“Hyerin” his voice was demanding answers and she sighs, knowing she can’t run away forever.
"Because…. because… well because Kai... you stole my 1st kiss"
