after math

CHAPTER 2

I groaned loudly, burying my face into my pillow as my alarm went off. I lazily turned it off and sat up painfully, realising the fact that I was a disappointment to my mom since I was still jobless. I went to the kitchen to make myself breakfast. After breakfast, I felt soooo drained and went upstairs to take a nap .

FLASHBACK

I yawned, wearily stretching on my bed ,my eyes moving on sync towards my bedside clock. It was 7:30am ."Oh s**t!!!" I cursed, jumping off my bed. The lecture begins at eight, and I just couldn't be late on the first day of my somophore year in college. I literally jumped off the bed and hit the showers, running out after 30 minutes to pull on my clothes and head out. I tied my hair up and flung my bedroom door open just to immediately get smacked in the face with a pillow.

"Ugghh!!!"I groaned. Mom and dad were fighting again. I guess dad had cheated AGAIN!!!. I made my way down the flight of stairs without being noticed, and I quickly put in my ear pods to muffle their screams.

I got to school by 8:30. Despite everything, I was 30 minutes late, and I had to sprint to my lecture hall and take a seat next to Thea. She always saves a seat for me anytime she's early. Sometimes I'm soooo grateful for a friend like Thea. She has dark skin, an extremely beautiful pair of siren eyes, long kinky hair, and a very pretty face. I honestly can't count the number of boys who have had a crush on her even though most of them know she's gay. Well, I can't tell her I think she's beautiful cos she's gonna think I'm leading her on.

Ha! That was a joke, tho,not the gay part;the leading her on part. And that's another reason Thea is the best best friend ever. She knows I'm completely straight and that I've got a boyfriend.

After school, Thea went home, and I patiently waited for my Uber. "Hey babe." I heard a husky voice behind me, and immediately I tuned. My sapphire eyes met his jade ones.
