My CEO husband has been totally swept up in a wild new romance lately.

Not only has his hairstyle started to look exactly like those boy band trainees straight out of an idol survival show, but he's also swapped his crisp after-work suits for loud, flashy hip-hop outfits and started dousing himself in sweet-scented cologne, of all things.

When I found out his little girlfriend was actually my daughter's best friend? I saw red on the spot and immediately demanded a divorce.

My husband had the nerve to call me ungrateful, sneering that I should be grateful he's even letting me keep the title of Mrs. Jacobs.

Even all our friends were trying to talk me down, telling me not to make a rash decision I'd regret later.

Hold on, they had a point, actually. I'm still his legal wife, and hundreds of millions worth of assets are already under my name. What the hell do I even have to complain about?

That thought made perfect sense to me.

So when the day of the grand celebration banquet my husband threw for his little girlfriend's twin pregnancy rolled around, I coolly slid a medical report right in front of him that said he was completely infertile, with zero sperm count at all.

Chapter 1
Hold on, they had a point actually. ***** Let me backtrack a second first. Staring at that cocky young girl who'd marched right up to me in the middle of my daughter's birthday party, a heavy, draining sense of helplessness washed over me. She'd cornered me in the bathroom, chin tilted up so high you'd think she'd already won, a smug smirk plastered across her face. "Mrs. Jacobs, it's time you step aside." My mouth twitched. "That sounds weird. Just call me Angelina like you used to, alright?" The girl blinked, all fake innocence. "I can't do that. You're still Caleb's first wife, and I'm his true love. I can't be disrespectful to you." I said nothing, just turned on the faucet to wash my hands. The mirror reflected both our faces—one worn by years, one fresh and youthful, a whole two decades of time stretching between us. "I can step aside, but does Caleb even want that?" Her face lit up immediately. "Caleb says the divorce is totally your call. As long as you agree, he's all in." She puffed out her chest proudly. "Twins run in my family, you know. Once I have a proper title, I can give him twins fair and square. He'll be over the moon!" She looked so stupidly naive. "You're so young. You really want to be a mom already?" I asked, half curious, half mocking. The girl blushed bright red. "Caleb says Sabrina is an only child. He wants me to give her a little brother and sister, so there's someone to help her run the company later." I almost laughed out loud. When I'd given birth to our daughter all those years ago, Caleb had hated seeing me in so much pain that he'd voluntarily gotten a vasectomy. He'd sworn up and down he'd only ever love me for the rest of his life. People change, don't they? Sometimes your heart dies in a single, cold second. When I got back to the banquet hall, Caleb held a cigarette under his nose and sniffed it, acting like nothing was wrong. "Why'd you go picking on her for? She's not even a threat to your spot as my wife!” We used to only ever talk about our daughter and his parents. Now we finally had a new topic: some other woman. I tucked a stray strand of hair behind my ear and smiled coolly. "I didn't pick on her." "She's a disadvantaged student I sponsor. She just called me godfather a while back!" My stomach turned, but I kept my face perfectly calm. "Oh? Then why did she call me Mrs. Jacobs just now? Shouldn't she have called me her godmother?" Caleb's face went rigid. He crunched the cigarette clean in half and tossed it in the trash. "She's just a kid who doesn't know any better. Why are you being so petty with her? Either way, there's nothing going on between us. Stop overthinking it." The hickey on his neck was barely covered by his collar. I had to hand it to him, the man had nerves of steel and a hide to match. That same night, that same stupidly naive girl showed up at my front door in next to nothing. "Hi! Sabrina invited me to stay over!" My daughter had drunk a little at her birthday banquet and was already asleep. I had no way to tell if she was lying, and I couldn't be bothered to check anyway. Caleb walked out of the kitchen, brushed right past me, and headed straight for Ariana. "Hangover soup. It's still warm." Ariana pouted and cooed, "I want you to feed me!" Back when we were just getting the company off the ground, I'd accompanied him to endless client events. I drank so much to lock in contracts that I had stomach bleeding more than once. He'd tracked down that hangover soup recipe himself from an old traditional medicine practitioner, and it worked like a charm. Back then, no matter how exhausted he was, he'd always make it himself and spoon-feed me every last sip. Twenty years had flown by in the blink of an eye. He'd traded the old model in for a newer one, and he'd slipped right back into the same routine like it was second nature. As Caleb fed her, she deliberately dragged her toe up and down his leg, until a heated, lustful glint clouded his eyes. Both of them were breathing hard, looking like they couldn't wait to tumble into bed together. Every part of me was screaming to jump in and knock their teeth down their throats, but I kept my face completely neutral and said only one thing. "Aren't you being a little trashy messing around with her like this when you haven't even given her a real title, Caleb?"
