After the talk with my aunt, I decided to take a nice long shower. After that, I made myself comfortable in bed to read for a while.
Harry Potter, no matter how many times I read it, I still liked it.
Around 6 o clock, I get ready for my night out with Jady. Simple blue jeans and a nice black halter top.
I decide to put on a little bit of makeup, not too much, and curl my hair a little bit so that it has a little bit of curl in it. When I'm done, I look satisfied in the mirror.
I grab my things and go downstairs to get something to eat.
I sit down at one of the tables and grab the menu.
Since I only ate a salad this afternoon, I started to get hungry. It is only a small hotel so the menu was not very extensive. I was still debating with myself whether I'd like a burger or pasta when Pam walked up.
"Hey girl, how are you? Did the talk with your aunt go well?" She asks.
"Hi Pam, yes very good, very helpful." I answer.
She smiles. "Nice to hear, I assume you're coming for dinner? What do you want?" She asks. I think for a moment. "I think I'll go for the house specialty, the burger."
"Excellent choice! Would you like a drink?"
"Yes, please I want an ice tea."
She writes it down and walks away. It doesn't take long for the food to arrive. It's a good thing I have a big appetite because it's a huge burger!
When I'm done eating I ask Pam to put it on the room bill. She nods. "I'm going to Jady, have a nice evening!" I say before I go.
When I arrive at the cafe there aren't many people there yet. I look around for Jady. She's still behind the bar.
"I'll be right there, sit down somewhere." She yells when she sees me. I wave and sit down at the bar.
After a few minutes, Jady sits down next to me.
"So what do you want to drink, first round is on me," She asks. I smile. "That depends, what kind of evening did you have in mind?" I ask.
She smiles mysteriously. "A wild one."
"Hmm, start with some shots then?" I say laughing.
"Okay then," And she beckons the new bartender.
"Two cumshots Jamie!" I look at her questioningly. No idea what it is.
"You definitely like this, it's nice and sweet." She says.
When Jamie has made them we toast to a nice wild evening.
"You're right, this is tasty!" I say.
"So tell me. What brings you to our little town?" She asks.
"Well what I said this afternoon. My ex-boyfriend." I thought for a moment. "I caught him with my so-called best friend. And when I angrily called another friend, apparently everyone knew. I didn't feel like being so close to everyone. I felt so betrayed that I decided to leave."
"Wow, that's next-level betrayal! I see why you're leaving." She looks at me sympathetically. "You can't call those kinds of friends your friends. I don't know you that well yet, but I promise I never would. And neither do the people here." She says with a small smile.
"Thanks, I appreciate that. So, another round of shots? My turn." I say. While Jady orders another drink I look around. It's starting to get a bit busier.
"Is there live music tonight? I heard it's often done at the weekend."
"It's open mic this weekend. We do it once a month. Usually, it's the same people performing. Some are good."
My face brightens up. I used to participate in such evenings and I liked it quite a bit. But Kevin never liked it much so I stopped going.
Jady looks at me questioningly.
"I used to participate, but that was a long time ago." I explain.
"Well now I'm curious, You should definitely participate." I smile.
"Yeah, maybe another time. Certainly not tonight."
She shrugs. "Oh, by the way, I also invited some friends, they will be here soon. I thought you could get to know some people right away." She says after we finished another shot.
I smile. "Okay, sounds fun. That would be nice."
I wonder if her friends are all werewolves too or not. Of course, I can't ask because she doesn't know I know she's one.
While we wait we order a few more drinks. I decide I'll stick to a Malibu Coke mix tonight. I don't want to get drunk, especially if it's all wolves and I'm the only one.
We chat a bit, get to know each other. I tell her I'm going to work in the bookstore on Monday. Jady is as much of a bookworm as I am.
"What's your favorite book?" She asks enthusiastically.
"100% Harry Potter." I answer without thinking.
"Really?! mine too! Real Potter head right here." She says with a wide smile.
We laugh out loud. Then I hear a familiar voice asking "Well what's so funny ladies?" We turn around. There are Dean, 2 other boys, and 2 girls. I think of our age. I'm assuming these are the friends Jady invited.
"I just found a fellow Potterhead." Tells Jady happily.
"Oh nooo, please don't make me have to listen to that all night." One of the girls says dramatically.
"Yeah, once you start you can't stop Jady." the other girl jokes. I laugh out loud.
"Okay okay, I'll save it for another time. Then we'll have a Potter Date." Jady says with a big smile. "But guys, this is Haily. She's staying at the hotel."
"Hi everyone." And I smile.
"Hey, I'm Lily." Says the girl with bright red hair. "And this is my boyfriend Zac." And she puts her arm around the waist of a boy who has his long blond hair in a ponytail.
"Hello, my name is Steve, and this here is my beautiful girlfriend Liv." And he kisses her, Liv has beautiful blond curls. I look at Dean. "We've already spoken at the hotel. And as you know, no mate yet."
"DEAN!!" they all scream. They are shocked. "What the f*ck man." Zac says. Dean just chuckles. "Guys, relax. Haily already knows."
I can feel the relief going through the group. "You should have said that sooner, Dean." Jady says a little irritated.
"Nah, this was way too funny." And he gives me a wink. "Does Jason know about this?" Asks Zac. I look at Dean. "Yeah, he knows. We were at the hotel this morning. No problem." He says.
I let go of my breath that I didn't realize I was holding.
We chat for the rest of the evening and I get to know the group a little bit.
I make sure I don't drink too much so I don't get too drunk. We listen to the people performing and there are some great voices. It has been a long time since I had such a pleasant evening.
At closing time I go back to the hotel. Dean offers to walk with me, but I convince him that it isn't necessary.
