Elise: the modern Ganyo

Today is the beginning of the new school year. As I was going to school I saw Elise and a few of her besties talking about whatever comes to mind as they walked towards the school gate, phones in one hand, hot coffee from the nearest café and to top it all, of course they were 10 minutes late. But who is Elise? A girl, medium height with long straight blonde hair and blue eyes dressed in mainly pink with a little bit of black and white, more specifically Adidas even though sometimes she wore Nike. A girl with tons of makeup on her face and beauty procedures done. A girl, just a school student, not an adult if you thought she is. In fact, she turned 17 recently. Now back to our main story. As they found their class and stayed around them while waiting for the opening ceremony to begin they were chatting with each other in some social media app. Once it started Elise just took out her phone, completely ignoring the national anthem of her own country and everything else. I asked her after that why she did it. Her answer was a simple "It's boring and I don't care". She didn't even stay for the whole ceremony and left 10 minutes after that with all of her friends when everyone else stayed longer. Then all those "Elise" we meet call us, the ones who are decent human beings weird for not being like them. You've probably met "Elise" somewhere in your life or are even close with an "Elise" so now you know what I'm talking about a little bit better. What a weird world we live in, am I right?
