Kate’s POV
When the last word met popped out of his mouth, I slapped him. A stinging pain spread through my palm as his head snapped to the side.
Rage boiled through my body.
“We’re done.” I said it firmly, “I don’t want to see you, EVER.” I turned my heels as the tears were bursting out.
Don’t shed a tear for him. I said to myself and take several breaths to force the tears down.
“Kate, I’m sorry! ” He grabbed my wrist before I entered the building, “Please! You know that’s not what I meant. The raging emotion took over my mind.”
“No. I am the one who should apologize. Sorry, Nathan! I was easy to get so left your hunting-fuckbuddy game without challenges. ” I said it sarcastically.
