Kate’s POV    When the last word met popped out of his mouth, I slapped him. A stinging pain spread through my palm as his head snapped to the side.   Rage boiled through my body.   “We’re done.” I said it firmly, “I don’t want to see you, EVER.” I turned my heels as the tears were bursting out.   Don’t shed a tear for him. I said to myself and take several breaths to force the tears down.   “Kate, I’m sorry! ” He grabbed my wrist before I entered the building, “Please! You know that’s not what I meant.
