Chapter 10

Val "Dinner and a movie?" Lucas suggested. "Sounds good to me!" I said, hoping he wouldn't think less of me for tearing up and having some crazy story about wolves. "So, is that why the wolf stuff is around too?" He asked. "Oh! I didn't think about that. It was my mom's stuff; she always had this stuff around. I kept most of it after she passed away. “ I explained. He smiled, as he led me over to the couch holding our plates of food while I carried our drinks. We watched a movie, pausing in the middle so I could take the plates to go to the sink. "Ready for dessert? I asked. "Ooo. What is it?" Lucas grinned with excitement. "White chocolate raspberry cheesecake", I told him. 'Sounds amazing!" he said. I cut some slices and we headed back to the couch. Before we restarted the movie, he took a bite and "yumm. This is fantastic!" He said. He looked nervous for a minute and then he spoke. Lucas "So, I was supposed to ask if you have or could make wedding cakes? I asked her She looked confused. So, I continued " my best friend Damien, I don't know if you saw him the other day or not, but him and his fiancé' are getting married in a couple of months, and their cake person backed out. They tried some of the cupcakes you sent with me the other day and wanted me to ask. I know that's a lot, and you don't have to say yes by any means." She smiled as she said "Well, I've never made a wedding cake. I've made some small cakes and cupcakes for people, but nothing that large. If they're friends of yours, I wouldn't mind meeting with them and seeing what ideas they want, and if I could do that." "You're amazing" I told her. "I will let Dy, Damien's fiancé know, and I can call so we can figure out a time. "Sounds good!" She said, smiling back at me. I took our plates and set them on the coffee table. I picked her up and set her on my lap, straddling my hips, I held each side of her face and brought her lips gently to mine. She rested her head in the crook of my neck, and I could feel her warm breath against my neck. I pulled her face towards me and kissed her more forcibly this time. I ran my tongue along her lips, until she granted my tongue access to taste every inch of her mouth. She moaned into my mouth, which made me kiss her even harder. I pulled my lips away from hers, and slowly kissed her neck and lingered over where my mark would go. She gasped, which made me grin as I stood up and pressed her lips back to mine as I carried her to the bedroom. Val "Yummm and this is fantastic”, the nervous man said, asking about wedding cakes. I know I was giving him a confused look. He was telling me about his best friend and his fiancé losing their cake maker, poor people. I don't know if I could make it look good enough, but I'm always willing to help someone. I told him I would meet with them and see if it was feasible for me to do. "Sounds good", I said as I went back to my cheesecake. We would figure out a time to meet. Just when I thought we were going back to the movie, Lucas took my plate and set it on the coffee table with his. Swiftly he picked me up, Like I was nothing, so I straddled him now. He grabbed my face with his huge hand and gently kissed me. I bent down and laid my head on his shoulder as he held me. He then raised my face by placing a finger under my chin, pulled my lips to him, and he kissed me more forcibly this time. He ran his tongue along my lips, until I let his tongue invade my mouth. He tasted and felt wonderful, and I moaned in appreciation into his mouth. Which made him kiss me even harder by putting a hand behind my head and pulling me to him. He pulled his lips away from mine, leaving me breathless, and slowly kissed my neck and lingering in the crook of my neck. Sparks ignited on my skin as his lips touched them, making me gasp. He smiled as he stood up holding me and pressed his lips back to mine as he carried me toward the bedroom.
