Chapter 11

Val

Lucas laid me gently on the bed and kept kissing me, while he laid on top of me. Pinning me between his 2 muscular arms. He kissed my neck and ear, across my chest just under the collar of my shirt and up to the other one.

He felt amazing "Lucas". I stopped him for a moment.

He looked at me with his light blue eyes, which seemed darker now. "are you okay? " He asked

He kissed my nose, then my lips and worked his way to my ear, whispering "It's okay, we’ll take things slow and at your pace. "

While there, I had begun to run my hands under his shirt and up to his chiseled chest. He removed his shirt as we were still sitting up. He then slowly laid us back down. "Toward the east side of Hemming's territory" Damien said.

The human town Val was in sat between ours and Hemming's territories. They were headed this way.

"Damien, I was going to stay here tonight. I don't want to lead them here. Where on the east side? " I said in a whisper so Val wouldn't hear me.

"It was farther north, but you know they can travel fast, " he said.

He was right. I would have to leave her tonight, so I didn't lead them to her. I don't know how I was going to explain this. Val rounded the corner and concern washed over her face, seeing me on the phone, mouthing to me, asking if everything was OK. I shook my head no.

"Damien, I'm on my way, check with Dy about times for the cake." I said as I hung up the phone.

This was an amazing evening and I didn't want it to end. Lucas was so considerate, reminding me that I should go clean up and offering to leave if I wanted. It felt good being in His arms. I didn't want it to end. I can't remember ever feeling that way before.

I walked into the bathroom and found a towel and washcloth and cleaned up with soap and water at the sink. Then I brushed out my hair, brushed my teeth, and grabbed some pajamas I had in the bathroom. I returned to the bedroom to find Lucas on the phone with a concerned look on his face. I mouthed and asked if everything was OK, and all he could do is shake his head no.

I heard "Damien I'm on my way and stopped listening."

"I'm sorry baby. We have a problem at the school that I have to go deal with since I'm in charge," he said.

"Oh ok. In the middle of the evening?" I asked.

"Yeah. We've got kids where they're not supposed to be. So now I have to go deal with kids and parents. “ Lucas said.

I was upset he couldn't stay, but I can understand having to deal with work. "Can I have a rain check for tomorrow though?" He smiled hopefully at me.

He was so handsome. And I think he knew it when he did that. "Yes. Of course. As long as you keep it," I told him.

His smile was as big as the moon. As he walked back into the bedroom to retrieve his clothes. I went to clean up the kitchen a little, putting dishes in the sink for later and putting leftovers in the fridge. I felt those muscular arms around my waist, and then kissed my neck. "Mmmm" I moaned back at him in agreement.

"By the way, would Damien and Dy be able to come by sometime too? I'd be with them. " he said.

"Oh yeah, that should be fine. I have the afternoon off." I told him.

"Hmmmm. So, I might get you to myself even longer tomorrow? He chided me

"Yeah" I told him. As he now spun me around to face him. Planting his lips firmly on mine, while I placed my arms around his neck, he pulled me even closer to him, tasting every bit of my mouth before releasing it. We broke away from each other, both breathless.

"I had better leave now, or else I won't." He said as he walked to the front door. He kissed me on the forehead as I watched him pull out of the driveway and waved.
