Chapter-1
Stanley, most handsome man in the town. Every girl wanted a chance to talk to him, but he didn't even use to look at them. It was like he was girl phobic always away from clingy girls. He was the only son of Arvind Tejwa, the owner of Tejwa groups and industries. There is a rumor in the town that Stanley was adopted as his appearance doesn't even match with his so-called parents but the town admits that they love him more than their own child.
Arushi
Wow, I have to admit this town isn't as bad as I thought but I am going to miss my friends back home. I hate that I have to come here to complete my post-graduate diploma, but that was my choice, completing my diploma was just an illusion the main reason I was here was to find about my birth mom. That birth mom left me inside a domestic farm back in Pokhara when I was just a week old. The only belonging I have of her is a picture of her with Pune written on the backside of it.
I have to find you out mom, Since the time I have realized about the word mom, I used to crave for you. In school when teachers used to tell how a mother loves their child, I used to urge to see you. When people used to call me orphan I used to miss you. I know the only thing I have of you is your picture but still, I am sure I will find you. I will find you and ask you why you left me in a world where orphans are treated like animals.
My eyes were in tears when I remembered the life in the orphanage, but that's it no more tears now my mission of the life is to find my mother and wipe out the title of an orphan from me.
I remembered the Saraswoti mam gave me the number of Mr. Shahi on whose house I was supposed to live as a paying guest. I immediately grabbed the mobile from my purse and dialed the number
"Hello", someone picked the call
"Hello, Are you Mr. Shahi?"
"Yes"
"Sir, I am Arushi. Saraswoti mam from sunshine orphanage send me to you"
"Oh, yeah I am sorry I completely forgot about that. Where are you? I will send my driver to you right away"
"I don't know where I am? There is a temple infront of me and a park behind me"
"Just keep on waiting there, I think I know where you are", said he and cut the call. I kept on standing there when a white car came to me after just a minute. Wow, Mr. Shahi is cool I thought and waived at the driver to let him know I was the one he was supposed to pick up.
"Are you from Pokhara?", he asked from his seat, his voice was young, too young very different than my expectation from a driver.
"Yes"
"Welcome", said he and came out from the car. I couldn't believe what I saw. Are drivers suppose to look like that. He was so handsome, like very very handsome. His black hair was combed perfectly to the one side and his pointed jaw just took my breath away. He was like a real angel in the world of humans. I moved my eyes through his face to his sleeveless shirt from where his bulging biceps were luring me like a magnet lures iron. His chest, the shape of his n*****s seen through his shirt, oh my god. Pune was real heaven.
I just kept on looking at him and looking at him until he was already next to me opening the door. I hurried and dragged myself from the dreamland when he kept on looking at me in dilemma.
What he must had thought of me? I was embarrassed but equally happy when I got to seat next to him. I couldn't fetch my eye from him but he was straightforward in his job, he started the engine and kept his eye hooked on the road.
"I was skeptical at first when I saw you in the driver seat. Back in my town, drivers are all middle-aged, you know with a big mustache, a little bit fat and totally not handsome but look at you no-one can tell you are a driver from the first look", I couldn't control my words
"Driver?", he was shocked when I said that
"Yes, a driver. You came to pick me up"
"Wait, just because I came to pick you up, you thought I am your driver. Are you insane, I am the son of Arvind Tejwa, thank your luck that you are my guest today otherwise I wouldn't have spare you after what you just said?"
Was, that a joke? maybe drivers of Pune are humorous along with being handsome. I wasn't feeling like laughing as that joke was a bad one but I had to respect a driver so I laughed a little in courtesy
"Do you think, I am joking?", he shouted again this time more furiously
"Wasn't that a joke, being a driver you are calling yourself the son of Arvind Tejwa? Do you even know who he is?"
"Yes, he is my father. Don’t you understand"
"Then I am the daughter of Bill gates", I said adding a little laugh to it. Then suddenly our body jerked to the front when he pressed the brakes at once.
"Are you mad?", I was getting irritated by his behavior
"Get out of my car"
"What?"
"I said get out of my car", he shouted more furiously.
"Look driver, jokes also have limits. It is irritating me now"
"I said get out from my car. What kind of silly guests come to visit my dad", said he heading out of the car furiously. He opened my door and again pointed me to go, "Get out", he shouted again. I was already very embarrassed, that was my first day in the town and I was already being treated like that. "I am going to complain about you to Mr. Shahi", I said kicking the tires which in turn hurt me a little bit.
"Who is Mr. Shahi huh? Complain about me to anyone I don't care but from now on don't try to show your ugly face infront of me", he banged the door of the car as soon as I came out and went away on full speed leaving me in the middle of nowhere embarrassed and sad.
I was wrong this place is not a heaven, it's a hell. God, please I wish I never have to meet that guy again. He was just handsome on the outside but inside he was the ugly, ugliest man in the world. I hate him.
My phone vibrated inside the purse, it was a call from Mr. Shahi
"Hello sir", I spoke with a low voice
"Arushi where are you, my driver has been waiting for you in that park for 10 minutes. "
"But, sir your driver came to took me a long ago"
"What are you saying? I just spoke to him, he is still waiting for you in the park"
Oh, I then understand why that guy was so angered up, but what went wrong if I called him a driver, one thing is for sure that guy's ego issue is greater than the mouth Everest. I just hope I won't have to see his face again
"Arushi, are you there?", Mr. Shahi said again when I was silent for a long time
"Yes, sir I am a little bit far from there now. There are long stairs to the jungle infront of me"
"Now, don't dare to walk from there, wait there. Did you understand?"
"yes, sir"
Stanley
"Dad... Dad", I shouted in anger while entering the house. He was in a meeting with other companies.
"What is wrong with you? Is everything alright?"
"Nothing is alright dad? Who the hell did you send me to pick?"
"Yeah, I was going to talk to you about that. Chaya is already here, she got a taxi before you got there"
"What, Are you kidding me? How can Chaya be here, I left her in the middle of the road"
"But she is here", said he pointing upstairs.
Yes, there was a girl, wearing one piece. Hot, but not my type. Then wait who did I picked up and left in the middle of the road. Anyway? Who cares? She called me a driver she has to pay for it.
"If I had known Stanley was coming to pick me, I would never have taken a taxi", said she coming downstairs looking at me.
"Welcome to Tejhwa Mansion Chaya"
"I am already thinking of living here permanently"
"You haven't changed a little bit. The last time I saw you, you were eight years old"
"But you have changed a lot. You were cute before but now you are handsome"
Her clingy voice was already irritating me, but what can I do she was my guest I have to endure that.
"On the way, I heard many rumors about you, people of the town said you have attracted every girl here, but you don't have eyes on any of them"
"That is right, no one here is my type and it is impossible to find anyone of my type too. So single me happy me. People who expect attention from me are losers because Stanley never gives attention to anyone."
"Challenge", she was so confident in herself. I was irritated by her.
"Whatever", I replied and walked from there.
People think I am self-centric, I am blinded by the attention I get and all the riches but actually, that is who I am. I was born different, different than anyone could imagine, and the question "why" has always been my mission to find. I am thankful that even after knowing my dark secrets my parents adopted me and showered me with their love. Girls? Relationship? is out of my dictionary.
Arushi
"Namaste sir", I said while entering Mr. Shahi's house it was bigger than my orphanage. Mr shahi was chatting with his daughter who was very pretty.
"Namaste, Arushi. Welcome home"
"Thank you"
"Saraswati informed me about you. She said you are a brilliant child and your mark sheet is the one due to which I urged to meet you. It was mind-blowing you secured 4 GPA all the semesters and look at my daughter it is hard for her to even pass"
"Thank you, sir, I love when it comes to learning so reading was never boring for me. I aim to become one of the famous businessmen like you sir only then I will be at ease that I have achieved something in my life"
"You will be more than that Arushi, trust me", he smiled, I felt so welcomed in that house. For the first time, I thought I am not a burden.
"Meet my daughter Aditi, she is still in her first year," said he, there was the girl next to him, very pretty smiling at me.
"Hi", I said throwing my hand in the air
"Welcome home Arushi, this house was empty all time. Dad is always busy with his work and despite some maids, no one is here. So I have to manage it alone I am thankful that you are here"
"what about mam, I mean your mother", I spoke without thinking
They both were looking at eachother. The environment suddenly got cold
"I am sorry, I think I have crossed the limit"
"Don't worry, you are now part of the family. You have the right to ask a question about anyone here. The fact is she left us when Aditi was just a year old."
"I am so sorry, my heartfelt condolence.."
"No, there is no proof that she has died. She just disappeared one day and was never seen again. I have almost forgotten how she used to look. She has taken away all her belonging all her pictures and sketches away with her. I pity for Aditi she doesn't even know how she used to look"
"I don't know what to say"
"Don't worry, it was needed"
"Anyway dad, it is good that Arushi is here I was worried about you when I get married", said Aditi
"You are not going to marry anytime soon, you are too young for that", I was shocked
"I am getting married next month"
"What? seriously? Who is the lucky guy?"
"You can't believe it. He is the eldest son of Arvind Tejwa", she shouted with great enthusiasm"
"Really Arvind Tejwa, owner of Tejhwa industries"
"Yes"
"Oh my god, you are so lucky"
"Arvind Tejhwa himself came here to talk about my marriage with Saurav"
"Saurav?"
"My going to be husband"
"I am so happy for you"
"First of all take Arushi to her room, Aditi, she must be tired", said Mr. Shahi cutting off our communication.
"Oh, I almost forgot, let's go to your new room Arushi", said she leading me upstairs. My going-to-be room was at the end of the balcony. It was so beautiful. It was the first time in my life I was getting such a big and beautiful room of my own.
"My good times have already started mom, now the only thing left is to find you", I talked to myself taking a deep breath of relief.
"Did you like it?", Aditi said in excitement
"Yes, I love it. I will never forget this moment when I got a room of my own. Thank you very much"
"Now, rest for a bit", said she and went outside. I was so overwhelmed with happiness that I jumped on the bed and grabbed a pillow along with the picture of my mom.
"I am coming for you?", I said with my teary eyes.
