Chapter 2

On my first day of the job, I was more than happy. Mr. Shahi let me work as a waitress there for some time being. The manager gave me a new dress and the restaurant was so huge that it was a privilege for me to work there.

Suddenly a group of boys entered the restaurant, all laughing and shouting making the environment chaotic.

"Waiter", they shouted pointing at me.

It was my first day so I was a little nervous about it.

"Are you deaf?", they shouted again

"Hey, girl what are you doing? You are supposed to give them the menu", whispered the manager from the side so I had to take steps toward them unwillingly.

"Here is the menu", I stammered keeping it on the table

"Are you new here?", one of the guys asked shouting at me

"Yes"

"We don't need the menu, every waiter here knows we want vodka in our table before 5 minutes"

"Okay, I will bring that right away", I said and ran from there.

"They are the guy from rich families, we don't upset them. So be a little more attentive when they are here, understand", said a boy in cook uniform handing me the tray with 5 vodkas.

"I will remember it from now on", I said taking my steps toward them with the trey.

"wait", one of the guys with red hair pointed at me. I froze there and he came toward me.

"It’s your first day right"

"Yes"

"Then guys we have to teach her something", he shouted and all the guys came toward me shouting yes along with him

"I am sorry", I asked in confusion

"We like our vodka served differently"

"Like what?"

"You have to bring that tray to us in one leg, and if even one drop of it spills down then you should obey one thing that we ask you to do"

"Why I have to do that anyway?"

"because we are your customers and you have to obey us"

"Sorry, I don’t think I am obliged to do that kind of behavior"

"Shut up, You filthy waitress", the guy with red hair again shouted to me, "is this the way for you to talk with us. Didn't you taught anything to her manager", they shouted behind me to the manager who was sitting at the counter.

"I am sorry sir, she is new, I will make her understand", said he signing me to obey them. I had no choice it was my first day at the job so I didn't want to mess it up.

"Common, bring that tray on one leg", they shouted again going back to their chairs. I was helpless, there was nothing left to do rather than obeying them. I pulled my right leg upward and began to hop slowly toward them with tears in my eyes and delicate glasses of vodka in my hand.

I hopped and they all were laughing at me, when I managed to reach the table even in one leg safely they all stood up and again came toward me. They came near and began shouting hop, hop, and hop. The guy with the red hair was standing so close to me that his breath was hitting my neck. I couldn't stand that and lose my balance breaking all the glasses and spilling all the vodka.

"Oops, you made a mess again", they shouted, "Now you have to obey us".

"I didn't spill it knowingly"

"aha, excuses don't work. Now we all boys will get a chance to make you do one thing", he laughed again.

"Who wants to go first?"

"Me", a sound comes from behind. All the boys turned around and there was the boy who left me in the middle of the road the previous day.

My job was a mess already now he also came to join. My anxiety doubled after seeing him.

"I want to give her the first command", he shouted again

"Wow, Stanley welcome. Command her she is all yours", said the guy with red hair making a passway for him to me.

"Why are you here?", I asked him still angry about what he did to me the previous day.

"Why can't I be here?"

"Because this place isn't for an egoistic person like you"

"You are right this isn't a place for me. This cheap food, cheap guys, cheap tables. I don't belong here but what can I do, It's a business and I have to visit places like this to know what shouldn't be done in the business"

"Ridiculous", I was irritated

"Anyway, these boys gave me chance to command you so you have to obey me"

"I won't"

"so you can obey them but not me"

"I obey no one", I shouted

"Hey girl, don’t get on my nerve just obey what Stanley tells you to do", said the guy coming toward me in rage. I was helpless I again went silent and kept on looking at his face waiting for his command.

"I command you..", he said

"What?"

"I command you to beat the hell out of these guys who harassed you", said he leaving the room in shock. "When I first saw you I thought you were a strong girl despite being a little mad. But look at you all pathetic being harassed by the bunch of guys. This doesn't suit you well", I kept on looking at him in amazement.

"Are you mad Stanley", the guy with red hair threw his fist on the air to hit him while Stanley caught his hand and hit his chest with his elbow? That guy flew in the air and crashed on the table taking the manager down with him. It was so satisfying to watch him in pain. I laughed a little

"That was what I wanted", said he looking at me smiling, and again started beating every guy there who came toward him to take him down.

After just a minute, the room was silent and the only sound that was coming was the scream of the boys who were hurt badly. I looked toward Stanley, he smiled a little and winked at me going outside the restaurant. Just in a moment, I forgave him for everything he did to me the previous day. I once again fell for him. His charm, his smile, his attitude. Oh my god, he was perfect just perfect.

I ran toward the manager to help him stand, "Who is he?", I asked him curiously.

"Youngest son of Arvind Tejwa. He never used to come here, I don't know why he came here today"

So he was right the previous day. He was the son of Arvind Tejwa.

Stanley

F**k, I never fought for anyone, I don't know why I became very emotional when those guys harassed the girl. What if they had known my true identity when I wasn't in the normal state. I took the risk today for that girl. But why? I should stay away from her. I can't repeat this mistake.

Arushi

The first day of my job, that wasn't a good starting but because of Stanley, I was happy the whole day. Most because Aditi was marrying his brother and I was going to meet him time and again.

I returned home, and Mr. Shahi and Aditi both were enthusiastic about my first day.

"Arushi", Aditi came to me, "I heard that someone saved you from the bad guy today at the restaurant"

"Really, who were the bad guys. What they did to her. Are you alright?", Mr. Shahi was all worried at once.

"Yes, I am alright sir", I said calming him down

"How can she not be alright dad, I heard that there was a guy who protected her from the bad guy"

"How this information reached you so soon"

"This is Pune, Arushi. Here rumors travel faster than sound"

"Yes, I like this town very much. It is like I am attached to this town for long"

"Okay, common. I am getting married and now I am jealous that Arushi will be a dear daughter to you", she grabbed me from his shoulder and began laughing at us. That day I knew what a family feels like.
