SNEAK PEEK

Gabrielle's POV

I leaned my forehead on the edge of the bed.

Then, I looked up.

I glanced at the clock on the wall.

I can't stay still.

Not even for a moment.

I sighed.

Then, I looked at him.

I looked at Alexander.

He was just there with his eyes closed.

He looked so peaceful.

Yet, that didn't make me feel better.

I bit my lower lip as my heart clenched inside of my chest.

I huffed as I looked up at the ceiling.

I was trying so hard not to shed tears while I was here.

I reached my hand out to touch Alexander's face.

Then, I stopped.

I gulped and retrieved my hand before standing up and backing away.

I can't count how many times I've done that.

Trying to reach out to touch him but then stopping.

I bit my lower lip as I stood a few feet away from him.

Then, the door opened and I turned around to look and saw Bella.

"Hey" she greeted with a forced smile.

"Hey" I greeted back with a small smile.

Then, we both looked at Alexander.

"Still nothing?" she asked.

I nodded.

We both sighed.
