Gabrielle's POV

I stood there as I looked around.

I was trying to check if the area was clear.

Then, I started walking again.

I was searching for something.

Something that would help me figure out what I was supposed to do for this mission.

I sighed as I kept searching.

This was one of the hardest missions I've encountered.

I didn't know exactly what I was dealing with.

Or who I was dealing with.

All I know is I'm here.

I'm in a place where I'm supposed to be.

A place where I was instructed to go to.

I kept looking around when my phone beeped.

Then, I saw a picture of an area. A specific location.

My brows furrowed a little.

I looked around again and searched for the place.

"Elle!"

I turned around to look and saw Alexander coming my way.

"Alex, what are you doing here? I told you to stay in the car, didn't I?" I said.

"You were taking too long" he said.

I sighed.

"Still. Please go back. I can't afford to put you in danger" I said.

"Danger? If you're in a dangerous situation, I really should be with you" he countered.
