“Sora, Sora. It’s me”
“What’s the matter?” Draxx worriedly asks as he slowly approaches her.
“Please stop crying, it doesn’t suit you.”
“Come on tell me what’s the matter?” Draxx said as he slowly pushed Sora’s shoulder to see her face.
Draxx then saw this pitch-black eye with a creepy smile on her face.
“Why are you shaking Draxx?”
“Looks like you’ve seen a ghost” Sora said in a demonic manner then laughed.
Draxx enhances his sacred gear with magic then said.
“Stay back!”
He then moves to the bed where most of the kids are sleeping.
“Kirin take the kids to safety!” Draxx shouted.
“Calling all units.”
“We have a demon in the academy. I repeat we have a demon in the academy” Draxx announced using telepathy.
Ropes then fell from the top floors and several female assassins aided in moving the kids.
“Why are you like that to me Draxx?”
“Have I done something wrong?”
“Am I not enough to satisfy you people?” Sora asked in a demonic voice.
“Here use me as well” She then reaps her clothes.
“Just like what Chris did to me and just leave me out of the blue.”
“He didn’t even bother asking me if I wanted him to sacrifice himself for humanity.”
“Why not let the Gods decide?” Sora said in her original voice.
Sora then walks closer to Draxx
“Stay back!” Draxx shouted as he stepped backwards.
“Don’t you want a taste of me Draxx?”
“You can imagine I am Lora but in a smaller body.”
“Just focus on my face and you won’t know the difference,” Sora said in a demonic manner.
The kids are all finally moved out of the room.
“Everyone stays back!” Draxx shouted.
“Lightning destruction magic: Dual Thunder s***h” Draxx casted
He swings his daggers that unleashed two slanted electrocuted winds. Sora did not even bother dodging it. She dropped to the ground in a weakened state.
“Draxx help me” Sora said in a weakened state.
She can barely move but she tried reaching out. She continuously begged for help but Draxx does not want to touch her as if he is afraid.
“Draxx please I made a promise to Chris that we will meet again.”
“He said that he is coming back. He even gave me his bagful of fragments as insurance and you know how he treasures these, because he has the quest in collecting it all.”
“So please Draxx if you won’t do it for me, do it for Chris” Sora said then she passed out.
Draxx immediately dropped to his knees then picked up Sora.
“Go find the elite healer.”
“Tell her to come to the infirmary ASAP” Draxx othered his assassins.
“Master I can still sense the demonic presence within her. Are you sure you want to take her in custody?” Kirin asked.
“What are you talking about?” Draxx ask
“Does this face look like a demon to you?”
“Look how cute and innocent she is” Draxx teased to calm himself a bit.
“But if that happens again, I’ll make sure to end her myself” Draxx seriously said.
“Sorry Sora but Chris isn’t coming back.”
“Yes, he decided to sacrifice himself for the greater good, but we must do everything to end this war for his sake. So, all his efforts will not be put into waste” thoughts inside Draxx’ head.
“Please stay with us Sora.”
“Don’t let that demon take over you.”
“Remember what you said. That he decided to sacrifice himself to save humanity so stay human at all cost for his sake”
“Be brave!” Draxx said
“Sorry if I took too long but I came here as fast as I can” Sarah said as she entered the infirmary all drenched with sweat.
“Please heal her.”
“You’re the only one that could help her,” Draxx said as he held Sarah’s hand.
“I’ll try but I won’t guarantee that she will be healed completely.”
“My healing abilities are still too weak,” Sarah said.
She then sat on the bed and placed her palms on Sora’s chest.
“Water recovery magic: Replenishing Mist” Sarah cast mist shrouds Sora’s whole body.
“This is how far I can go.”
“We can only wait for her to wake up,” Sarah said as she stood up.
“I better get going.”
“That spell used a lot of my mana and my body is getting fatigued,” Sarah said.
“Why not stay here and rest.”
“There are still a lot of unoccupied beds. You should not head back to your room in that state” Draxx said.
“I am going to be fine; I think I can make it to my bed” Sarah said as she continued walking.
“Thanks Sarah” Draxx said with a cheerful expression on his face.
Sarah just gave a thumbs up then exits the room.
“Aren’t you going to rest as well?”
“You look like an undead,” Kirin telepathically said.
“Nah! I think I can pull this off.”
“What if Sora transforms into a demon again? Who’s going to stop her?” Draxx replied.
“I’ll watch over her” Kirin said then he manifested into his worldly form.
“Go take a rest. It’s a necessity among mortals.”
“Unlike us, we only feast on mana to live,” Kirin said.
“You can rest in any bed you like.”
“I promise I’ll wake you up if anything happens,” Kirin said.
Draxx then scooches over Sora a bit then lies down beside her but facing the other direction.
“Draxx! What on earth are you going to do!” Kirin raised his voice.
“Good morning Kirin” Draxx said then yawns.
Kirin moves beside them then sits down.
Somewhere in the city of Metro, Tyrone and his squad are patrolling the streets then he suddenly stops walking and then leans towards a wall so does Sarah.
“Are you alright? Tay?” one of the members asked.
“What about you Sarah? Is something the matter?” another member asked?
They remain silent as they regulate their breathing as they clench their hands on their chest. After their hearts stopped racing Tyrone said
“Sarah, did your heart just raced?”
“Yeah, how did you know?” Sarah asked.
“Just got this strange feeling that someone is calling me together with six others.”
“My senses were boosted during that duration and I manage to sense your presence, Sir Draxx, and Maximus.”
“I don’t know why but I think the rest are also in close touch with us” Tyrone said.
“What do you think all of this about?” Sarah asked.
“Beats me” Tyrone said
“We should take a rest.”
“I know a great coffee shop close by,” Eve said.
“Sure, I want to have some sweet bread and a soothing tea,” Sarah said.
“What about you guys?” Eve excitedly asked.
The boys all have these weary looks on their faces.
“Come on let’s take a break once in a while.”
“When was the last time you had fun and enjoyed a bit?” Sarah asked.
“Don’t we have work to do?” a member said.
“Yow! Tay, what’s your say about this?”
“Will we continue patrolling or we’ll we join them and go visit a coffee shop?”
“Your call?” Mark asked.
“Why does it have to be me?”
“Your life, your decisions,” Tyrone said.
“You heard that people.”
“If you excuse us, we’ll heading to the coffeeshop” Mark said as he grabs Eve and Sarah’s wrists
“So where is this coffeeshop you were talking about?” Mark asked.
“So, aren’t you joining them?” Tyrone asked his remaining squad mates.
“Is it really okay to chill in a time like this?” the tank asked.
“Yeah! Instead of grinding our butts so hard patrolling why not wait for something to happen.”
“We can’t always work because we are not robots.”
“We didn’t sign up for this. Remember that we are all students and not workers” Tyrone said.
Tyrone then walks to the opposite direction.
“Where are you going Tay?” the knight asked.
He just raised his shoulder as he walked away.
“So, what now?” the knight asked the two
“I am going to the coffeeshop.”
“Are you coming?” the tank said.
“I’ll pass.”
“I still have things to settle,” the knight said.
“Alright see yeah” the tank said then he chases Mark and the girls.
The knight then walked in the same direction Tyrone was headed.
At the corner Tyrone was standing and he seems to be waiting
“Looks like you really are dedicated to this job.”
“Tell me what you gain from this?” Tyrone asked.
“Did you really wait for me?”
“What if I decided to join them after all?” the knight asked.
“Then I’m happy for you.”
“You know we don’t need to do this because it is not mandatory,” Tyrone said.
“About that”
“You see I don’t have money that’s why I didn’t join them” the knight embarrassedly said.
“Don’t be ashamed of not having money.”
“We all have different social classes but those are just bullshit that the society established that doesn’t define you as a person. Remember that” Tyrone said.
“If you don’t mind me asking. You are a former member of the city’s attack squad, right? So, where did the spending cash the academy all went?” Tyrone asked.
