“Oh, that I just buy groceries then donate the rest to the orphanage I was raised in” the knight said.
“Wanna pay it a visit?” Tyrone asked.
“Really?” the knight cheerfully asked.
“Why not? We still have time to spare.”
“Where is it located?” Tyrone asked.
“It’s kinda far from here.”
“Are you willing to walk?” he asked.
“Sure. Let us go” Tyrone said as he takes the lead.
Draxx and the girls arrived at the shop and the tank arrive soon after
“Hey!”
“Where are the others?” Eve asked as she waved her hand to get the tank's attention.
“Tay went the opposite way while Cy had to run,” the tank said as he walked to the table
“Wow! So many drinks to choose from” Sarah reacted.
“And they are all delicious.”
“I always stop by here and treat myself” Eve said
“Give me that,” Mark said as he snatched the menu from Sarah.
“Ahhh! I’m not done with it yet?” Sarah said.
Mark closes his eyes then randomly points at the menu. He takes a good long look at it then hands over the menu back to Sarah.
“Here” He said
“Thanks?” Sarah said in a weirded-out manner.
“Say Eve” Sarah said
“Yes?” Eve asked.
“What do you recommend?”
“You tried them all right? What’s your favorite?” Sarah asked.
“It’s getting pretty late and kinda chilly, so I recommend something in the warm drinks, maybe the hot tea you wanted earlier, or a creamy coffee paired with a butter croissant” Eve recommended.
“You really know your stuff” Mark seems impressed.
“IKR”
“So, what are you having?” Eve asked.
“An ice latte,” Mark said.
“And what are you Marcus?” Eve asked.
“I’ll just have their best seller and French toast” Marcus said.
“You who, we are ready to order now” Eve said as she waves the menu up high.
“Calling all units, calling all units” Mark heard Draxx using telepathy.
“Shush!” Mark said as he placed his finger on his lips.
Draxx was asking for backup because there was a demon at the academy. Mark quickly informed the other then they headed on their way.
“What about our orders”
“We haven’t paid for those,” Eve said.
Marcus pulls a card from his wallet then throws into the floor. Then shouted.
“Just charge everything there” as they head back to the academy.
“Where could Tay and Cy go?”
“Hope they could respond soon,” Mark said.
“Don’t worry about them.”
“I know they can defend themselves, especially Cyrus, he's one hell of a fighter,” Marcus said.
“Marcus is right. We should just focus on the task in hand so we can get back to the café asap.”
“My taste buds are tingling from a sip of coffee” Eve ranted.
“Yeah, why does it have to be now.”
“I just want to relax a bit,” Sarah ranted.
“How could you two, think like that in a time like this?” Mark said as he slaps his forehead.
They finally arrived but several squads already arrived first, and it looks like the situation is already taken care off.
“Oh Mark, where’s Tay?” Ryzen asked as he looked for Tyrone.
“What happened here?” Mark asked.
“A demon infiltrated the school and attempted to m******e the child luckily Sir Draxx was there to prevent it.”
“The situation has already been taken care of, so you don’t have to worry,” Ryzen said.
“Okay let us head back to the café. Our drinks might be cold now” Mark said as he turned around then went on his way.
“Hey, wait for us!” the ladies said.
“Don’t you have patrolling to do?” Ryzen shouted.
Mark just gave a thumb up.
“Slacker” Ryzen murmured
“Here we are,” Cyrus said as he showed off the gate of the orphanage.
The gate was painted less and rusty.
“Nice right?” Cyrus said with a cheerful smile on his face.
“Yeah” Tyrone reacted
“It gets better when you get to see the house” Cyrus said as he pulls out a key then unlocks the gate.
“it won’t budge!” Cyrus said as he pushed the gate.
Tyrone then rams the gate forcing it to open. The nuns and children were all staring at them.
“Hi,” Tyrone said, then he hid behind Cyrus.
“Sorry about that sisters”
“I’ll fix it later,” Cyrus said.
“Hi kids missed me?” Cyrus asked.
The kids then gave him warm hugs.
“I want you to meet my squad leader,” Cyrus told the kids.
“Come on Tay.”
“Introduce yourself to them,” Cyrus whispered.
“Sorry for the mess we made.”
“The gate was stuck so I ran towards it. I might have miscalculated my strength.”
“I promise to replace it with a new one” Tyrone apologized.
“We didn’t ask for that.”
“We want to know your name mister!” the kids said.
“Ow!” Tyrone reacted.
“I am Tyrone, and I am also a student at the Biblia Academy.”
“Let’s see, I love to play and explore new things” Tyrone said.
“Wow! Another hero” the kids reacted.
“Did you hear that sisters?”
“He is a hero too just like big bro” the kids said.
“That’s what they call us.”
“Coz you know we defend this city from demons” Cyrus said.
Tyrone just smiled upon hearing that.
Cyrus and Tyrone stayed for a while and played with the kids. It was getting late, and they already forgot about fixing the gate. The sister insisted that it was okay because it is already old and rusty. They will just buy a new one and hire someone to fix it.
Tyrone pulls out his wallet then hands over something then said.
“It’s not much but I think that would be enough to lessen the bill.”
“If I didn’t force the gate open it won’t end up like that.”
“Plus, I had fun here thinking of it as a token of my gratitude” Tyrone said then he went on his way.
“I better get going sister,” Cyrus said.
“Good Sir thank you.”
“May God watch over you always,” the sisters said.
“You don’t have to do that,” Cyrus said.
“Do what?” Tyrone asked.
“You know, donating money.”
“I think my salary is enough to keep that orphanage running,” Cyrus said.
“You don’t have to shoulder everything you know.”
“And I really enjoyed playing with the kids.”
“That money I gave then was only my spare. So, it was nothing.”
“Remember that you don’t lose anything if you lose money” Tyrone said.
“So where are we heading?” Cyrus asked.
“Let’s stop by the café that Eve was talking about,” Tyrone said.
“But I don’t have money, remember?” Cyrus said.
“Don’t worry I’ll treat you” Tyrone said.
“Let us go! We might not make it” Tyrone said then he started running.
After a few minutes they finally arrived at the café.
“Good evening sir but have you seen two boy and two girls wearing this uniform?” Tyrone asked the dude cleaning the table.
“Yeah, they were just left a couple of seconds ago.”
“Didn’t you see them?” the staff said.
“Which way did they go sir?” Tyrone asked.
The staff points out the direction where Mark and the others take.
“Thank you, good sir,” Tyrone said then they left the café.
“Looks like they have already left and by the looks of where they are heading. They are going back to the academy” Cyrus said.
“Looks like the remaining slackers finally arrived.”
“I wondered where you two guys went.”
“After the headmaster entitled you and that lowly assassin element fragments.”
“The semester isn’t finished yet, but he has already chosen who the winners are, '' Ryzen said.
“How dare you talk trash like that to us!” Cyrus shouted as he drew out his sword.
“Cy this is not a place to make a commotion.”
“People are around us and we are wearing our uniforms.”
“We shouldn’t bring disgrace to the academy,” Tyrone said.
“I’m sorry” Cyrus apologized then he hid his sword.
“Ryzen what do you mean by us being slackers.”
“Remember that we didn’t sign up for this. We are students, not mercenaries.”
“Plus, we were only gone for an hour or two” Tyrone said.
“So, you don’t know that a demon infiltrated the academy.”
“And basing on the strategic placing on the map your squad should be the closest one to the academy by that time.”
“But you and your squad mates are all too busy slacking,” Ryzen said.
“You’re just jealous that we beat you during that last event.”
“Tyrone deserves that fragment” Cyrus said.
“Say what you want,” Ryzen said.
“Zen let’s talk inside,” Tyrone seriously said.
“You can head back to the academy without me Cy” Tyrone said with a smile on his face.
Then he enters the café
“Stay” Ryzen teased as if Cyrus was a dog.
Cyrus tried entering the café, but Luis came out of nowhere and pointed a blade at Cyrus’ waist.
“You heard your leader, right? Now hop to it” Luis threatened.
“Sure, but you’re coming with me” Cyrus said then he drags Luis away from the café.
