“So, what do you want to talk about?”
“Make it quick. I still need to get some shut eyes.”
“Waiter!” Ryzen said.
“So, what are you having?” Ryzen asked.
“I’ll have the regular to go,” Tyrone said.
“And I’ll have a cup of Chamomile tea and some biscuits,” Ryzen ordered.
“Look I am sorry if we disregarded our duties.”
“It was only for the day coz Sarah and I felt a feeling in our chest, so we decided to rest for a while.”
“I didn’t expect that a demon would show up” Tyrone apologized.
“All good, what I didn’t like is how your squad turn their backs at me.”
“As if they care less about what happens to the academy.”
“If I were you, I'd talk to them about that. We may not have signed up for this, but this is far way more important than your chill time.”
“Right now, we should remain vigilant. Headmaster and the instructors are doing their best to end this war once and for all. Maybe after that we could have all the free time we want.”
“Just focus on the task at hand , okay?” Ryzen said.
“But what about you not winning the ranking?”
“I know you want an elemental fragment too” Tyrone felt sorry for him.
“No, your squad mate was right. You deserve it.”
“Better strategy wins”
“If you don’t mind me asking what elemental fragment you chose?” Ryzen asked.
“Thank you” Ryzen said as the waiter serves his tea.
“Want some?” he asked as he offered Tyrone some biscuits.
“I’m good,” Tyrone said.
“So, what about the fragment you chose?” Ryzen said then sipped his tea.
Tyrone pulls something out of his pocket then places it on the table. It was a fire fragment.
“Can I touch it?” Ryzen asked.
“Sure” Tyrone agreed
Ryzen picked it up and took a good long look at it. He turns it around to get a good view of all the sides and angles. Then something he saw small lights moving inside of it
“Out of all the elements why did you choose fire?” Ryzen asked.
“Don’t know exactly but do have this feeling that I should choose it.”
“I don’t know if it just came down to me all of a sudden,” Tyrone said.
“If I am going to choose one. I’ll pick the lightning fragment.”
“I want unparalleled speed,” Ryzen said as he returned the fragments.
“Yeah, that’s nice too.”
“Like sir Draxx’ power” Tyrone said.
“Nah! I don’t want destructive magic.”
“I want magic that gives me physical strength and a sharp mind.”
“Imagine brains and brawns in one or maybe lightning-fast thinking. Planning would be much easier, and you can come up with a more detailed plan in a matter of seconds” Ryzen said.
“Haven’t thought of that.”
“We’ll see if you can do it Zen. With your way of thinking, magic can be in a new other level” Tyrone said.
“Just you wait,” Tyrone said.
After their conversation they both head back to the academy
It was morning. Draxx finally woke up and he was all alone in the infirmary. Kirin, Sarah, and Sora were not there. He immediately gets out of bed then runs outside. It was too bright. He cannot see anything making him stop.
“Glad you’re awake” a feminine voice said.
“Sora?” Draxx uncertainty said.
“Who would it be?” Sora asked.
Draxx can only see her smile.
“Sir Draxx your food is ready. Where do you want to eat it?” Sarah asked.
“Just put it at the instructors table.”
“By the way where is Kirin” Draxx said
Sora points above.
Draxx covered his eyes using his palm then walked to the open field. The bright light was coming from Kirin’s lightning spell he was practicing “Here we are,” Cyrus said as he showed off the gate of the orphanage.
The gate was painted less and rusty.
“Nice right?” Cyrus said with a cheerful smile on his face.
“Yeah” Tyrone reacted
“It gets better when you get to see the house” Cyrus said as he pulls out a key then unlocks the gate.
“it won’t budge!” Cyrus said as he pushed the gate.
Tyrone then rams the gate forcing it to open. The nuns and children were all staring at them.
“Hi,” Tyrone said, then he hid behind Cyrus.
“Sorry about that sisters”
“I’ll fix it later,” Cyrus said.
“Hi kids missed me?” Cyrus asked.
The kids then gave him warm hugs.
“I want you to meet my squad leader,” Cyrus told the kids.
“Come on Tay.”
“Introduce yourself to them,” Cyrus whispered.
“Sorry for the mess we made.”
“The gate was stuck so I ran towards it. I might have miscalculated my strength.”
“I promise to replace it with a new one” Tyrone apologized.
“We didn’t ask for that.”
“We want to know your name mister!” the kids said.
“Ow!” Tyrone reacted.
“I am Tyrone, and I am also a student at the Biblia Academy.”
“Let’s see, I love to play and explore new things” Tyrone said.
“Wow! Another hero” the kids reacted.
“Did you hear that sisters?”
“He is a hero too just like big bro” the kids said.
“That’s what they call us.”
“Coz you know we defend this city from demons” Cyrus said.
Tyrone just smiled upon hearing that.
Cyrus and Tyrone stayed for a while and played with the kids. It was getting late, and they already forgot about fixing the gate. The sister insisted that it was okay because it is already old and rusty. They will just buy a new one and hire someone to fix it.
Tyrone pulls out his wallet then hands over something then said.
“It’s not much but I think that would be enough to lessen the bill.”
“If I didn’t force the gate open it won’t end up like that.”
“Plus, I had fun here thinking of it as a token of my gratitude” Tyrone said then he went on his way.
“I better get going sister,” Cyrus said.
“Good Sir thank you.”
“May God watch over you always,” the sisters said.
“You don’t have to do that,” Cyrus said.
“Do what?” Tyrone asked.
“You know, donating money.”
“I think my salary is enough to keep that orphanage running,” Cyrus said.
“You don’t have to shoulder everything you know.”
“And I really enjoyed playing with the kids.”
“That money I gave then was only my spare. So, it was nothing.”
“Remember that you don’t lose anything if you lose money” Tyrone said.
“So where are we heading?” Cyrus asked.
“Let’s stop by the café that Eve was talking about,” Tyrone said.
“But I don’t have money, remember?” Cyrus said.
“Don’t worry, I'll treat you,” Tyrone said.
“Let us go! We might not make it” Tyrone said then he started running.
After a few minutes they finally arrived at the café.
“Good evening sir but have you seen two boy and two girls wearing this uniform?” Tyrone asked the dude cleaning the table.
“Yeah, they were just left a couple of seconds ago.”
“Didn’t you see them?” the staff said.
“Which way did they go sir?” Tyrone asked.
The staff points out the direction where Mark and the others take.
“Thank you, good sir,” Tyrone said then they left the café.
“Looks like they have already left and by the looks of where they are heading. They are going back to the academy” Cyrus said.
“Looks like the remaining slackers finally arrived.”
“I wondered where you two guys went.”
“After the headmaster entitled you and that lowly assassin element fragments.”
“The semester isn’t finished yet, but he has already chosen who the winners are, '' Ryzen said.
“How dare you talk trash like that to us!” Cyrus shouted as he drew out his sword.
“Cy this is not a place to make a commotion.”
“People are around us and we are wearing our uniforms.”
“We shouldn’t bring disgrace to the academy” Tyrone said.
“I’m sorry” Cyrus apologized then he hid his sword.
“Ryzen what do you mean by us being slackers.”
“Remember that we didn’t sign up for this. We are students, not mercenaries.”
“Plus, we were only gone for an hour or two” Tyrone said.
“So, you don’t know that a demon infiltrated the academy.”
“And basing on the strategic placing on the map your squad should be the closest one to the academy by that time.”
“But you and your squad mates are all too busy slacking,” Ryzen said.
“You’re just jealous that we beat you during that last event.”
“Tyrone deserves that fragment” Cyrus said.
“Say what you want,” Ryzen said.
“Zen let’s talk inside,” Tyrone seriously said.
“You can head back to the academy without me Cy” Tyrone said with a smile on his face.
Then he enters the café
“Stay” Ryzen teased as if Cyrus was a dog.
Cyrus tried entering the café, but Luis came out of nowhere and pointed a blade at Cyrus’ waist.
“You heard your leader, right? Now hop to it” Luis threatened.
