“Sure, but you’re coming with me” Cyrus said then he drags Luis away from the café.
“So, what do you want to talk about?”
“Make it quick. I still need to get some shut eyes.”
“Waiter!” Ryzen said.
“So, what are you having?” Ryzen asked.
“I’ll have the regular to go,” Tyrone said.
“And I’ll have a cup of Chamomile tea and some biscuits,” Ryzen ordered.
“Look I am sorry if we disregarded our duties.”
“It was only for the day coz Sarah and I felt a feeling in our chest, so we decided to rest for a while.”
“I didn’t expect that a demon would show up” Tyrone apologized.
“All good, what I didn’t like is how your squad turn their backs at me.”
“As if they care less about what happens to the academy.”
“If I were you, I'd talk to them about that. We may not have signed up for this, but this is far way more important than your chill time.”
“Right now, we should remain vigilant. Headmaster and the instructors are doing their best to end this war once and for all. Maybe after that we could have all the free time we want.”
“Just focus on the task at hand , okay?” Ryzen said.
“But what about you not winning the ranking?”
“I know you want an elemental fragment too” Tyrone felt sorry for him.
“No, your squad mate was right. You deserve it.”
“Better strategy wins”
“If you don’t mind me asking what elemental fragment you chose?” Ryzen asked.
“Thank you” Ryzen said as the waiter serves his tea.
“Want some?” he asked as he offered Tyrone some biscuits.
“I’m good,” Tyrone said.
“So, what about the fragment you chose?” Ryzen said, then sipped his tea.
Tyrone pulls something out of his pocket then places it on the table. It was a fire fragment.
“Can I touch it?” Ryzen asked.
“Sure” Tyrone agreed
Ryzen picked it up and took a good long look at it. He turns it around to get a good view of all the sides and angles. Then something he saw small lights moving inside of it
“Out of all the elements why did you choose fire?” Ryzen asked.
“Don’t know exactly but do have this feeling that I should choose it.”
“I don’t know if it just came down to me all of a sudden,” Tyrone said.
“If I am going to choose one. I’ll pick the lightning fragment.”
“I want unparalleled speed,” Ryzen said as he returned the fragments.
“Yeah, that’s nice too.”
“Like sir Draxx’ power” Tyrone said.
“Nah! I don’t want destructive magic.”
“I want magic that gives me physical strength and a sharp mind.”
“Imagine brains and brawns in one or maybe lightning-fast thinking. Planning would be much easier, and you can come up with a more detailed plan in a matter of seconds” Ryzen said.
“Haven’t thought of that.”
“We’ll see if you can do it Zen. With your way of thinking, magic can be in a new other level” Tyrone said.
“Just you wait,” Tyrone said.
After their conversation they both head back to the academy
It was morning. Draxx finally woke up and he was all alone in the infirmary. Kirin, Sarah, and Sora were not there. He immediately gets out of bed then runs outside. It was too bright. He cannot see anything making him stop.
“Glad you’re awake” a feminine voice said.
“Sora?” Draxx uncertainty said.
“Who would it be?” Sora asked.
Draxx can only see her smile.
“Sir Draxx your food is ready. Where do you want to eat it?” Sarah asked.
“Just put it at the instructors table.”
“By the way where is Kirin” Draxx said
Sora points above.
Draxx covered his eyes using his palm then walked to the open field. The bright light was coming from Kirin’s lightning spell he is practicing
“Kirin!” Draxx shouted.
Kirin heard it then, so he stopped.
“Why did you start training without me!” Draxx shouted.
With a blink of an eye Kirin teleported beside Draxx
“Glad you’re finally awake.”
“I hope I didn’t deplete your mana,” Kirin said.
“Why?”
“Did you use a lot of mana already?” Draxx asked.
“Yes master”
“The spells I am using are the grandest lightning magic I can cast, and it uses a lot of mana” Kirin said.
Draxx summoned his sacred gear then eagerly said.
“Let’s go” then his tummy rumbled.
Sora and Sarah giggled but when Draxx turned around to look at them they immediately stopped.
“Hey Draxx breakfast and lunch is calling!” Sora teased.
“Go get your nutrition.”
“We will train until you pass out” Kirin said then he vanished.
“I’ll just revert back to my worldly state when you’re ready. I lost too much mana in that state” Kirin said.
Draxx, Sarah and Sora entered the cafeteria all together.
“What, it's almost noon already?”
“How long have I passed out?” Draxx said as he saw the clock inside the cafeteria.
“Sucks right?”
“Just so you know you make this adorable sound when you sleep plus your drool woke me up.”
“Ehhh! Yuck” Sora said with a disgusted look on her face.
“At least my breath doesn’t stink,” Draxx boastfully said.
“I’ll head to my table now,” Sarah said, then she walked away.
When Sarah was far enough Sora’s expression changed. She became serious suddenly.
“Say Draxx about what happened yesterday.”
“My thoughts are a bit hazy. It’s like my memories have been altered or something.”
“I tried remembering what happened, but I can’t. I can only recall me tucking the kids to sleep and the part when you were talking to me inside the room.”
“But I also saw myself too and it was kinda disturbing” Sora said.
“I see.”
“But get too excited or something but Kirin sensed a demonic presence coming from you.”
“Last night I encountered the demon that lies within you.”
“I don’t know what it wants or what its purpose is but you’re going to be a huge threat if we keep you here” Draxx said as he ate.
“What do you mean Draxx?”
“Do you think I am going to turn into a demon?” Sora asked.
“I didn’t say that you did.”
“What I said was you could be a potential threat because you have a demon within you.”
“The word I use is “could” coz we are not sure if you’re going to turn into a demon or not” Draxx said.
“Oh yeah, where are the elemental fragments that Chris handed over to you. Let me have it”.
“It’s not that I don’t trust you anymore, but I think it safer if you handed it over.”
“My skills and elemental magic greatly surpass yours” Draxx said.
“Dude, even without the insult I am willing to hand it over,” Sora said with a grumpy look on her face.
“Sorry” Draxx said
“Sorry doesn’t cut it.”
“How about we settle this once and for all.”
“I could really use a warmup,” Sora said as she twisted her shoulder.
“We should take this elsewhere.”
“It’s not safe for the students if we battle here” Draxx said.
“Sure” Sora said then she stands up.
“I’ll meet you at the east gate, I just need to get the bagful of fragments.”
“Finish up everything on your plate you’ll need every ounce of strength you’ve got” Sora said as she exited the cafeteria.
The students started talking about the big fight. They were all planning to watch but Draxx did not allow them because it would be too risky.
After Draxx finished his meal he went outside then summon Kirin
“Are you ready bud?” Draxx asked as he mounted Kirin.
“I have a bad feeling about this.”
“What if Sora went out of control just like the last time?” Kirin said.
Draxx then recalls what happened to Lora during Sora and Lora’s duel
“I think we got this,” Draxx confidently said.
“Never get too overconfident Draxx.”
“Keep your foot flat on the ground because the higher you raise the harder you fall” Kirin said.
“Noted.”
“Let’s go,” Draxx said, then they took off.
“Looks like she hasn’t arrived yet” Draxx said because he could not find Sora anywhere.
Several minutes later Sora finally arrived holding the bag of fragments.
“Catch!” Sora shouted then she tosses the bag towards Draxx
Draxx quickly checks inside just to make sure. It was absolutely the elemental fragments. Sora steps outside the gate as she summons her sacred gear.
“Looks like she’s determined to win” a thought inside Draxx’ head.
“I am going as far as I could.”
“Defend this city with all you’ve got.”
“I won’t hold back even for a second,” Sora said.
“I’ll fire elemental magic to the sky marking the start of our combat” Sora said then with immense power she jumped as far as she could.
Draxx was surprised that Sora has that kind of strength, but he did not lose his cool
“Are you ready Kirin?” Draxx asked.
Kirin just raises his two front feet then neighs. Kirin then went outside the gate.
