The assassins and some of the students climb the walls just to have a better view of the upcoming fight.
Several minutes later a water sprout was seen from a distance. Then Kirin started shaking
“What’s the problem bud?” Draxx asked.
“This presence it’s the same as before,” Kirin said.
Then they saw something heading straight at them. It was not clear because of the dust that is being blown away. Then strong wind blew coming from behind is intercepting whoever is causing the dust to scatter.
“Is that the huntress that the headmaster brought?”
“She seems battling something” a marksman said as he uses his scope to get a glimpse on what is happening.
“Wind destruction magic: Infinite Aerial Cutter” Mariposa casted
Every move of his hands and feet a surge of wind blew.
“Water protection magic: Tide’s Blessing” Sora casted. That spell enhanced her sacred gear transforming it into a full body armor.
Sora then charges in but Mariposa continues to cast Aerial Cutter. The wind spell was too quick for Sora to evade.
From the gate Draxx saw the commotion. He tosses the bag of fragments to the ground the bag might reap causing the fragments to scatter all over the place. Ryzen saw what Draxx did, so he got curious. He went down to pick it up. He slowly opens and he was amazed to see it was elemental fragments. He looks around just to make sure no one saw him.
“I better keep a close eye on this. Someone might pick it up” Ryzen said to himself.
On his way back he checks what other fragments are there. He pulls out one of each color and examines it. By doing so Ryzen can finally distinguish the difference of all elemental fragments from one another.
His eyes then got attracted to the largest light lightning fragment on the bag. He picks it up then stashes it in his own pocket.
“Wall of Typhoon” Mariposa casted to trap themselves in
From above Kirin fires his fully charged lightning beam. Draxx then pops out behind Sora.
“Light’s out,” Draxx said as he stabbed Sora from behind.
“Lightning Rod!” Draxx casted then lighting targeted Draxx’ dagger shocking Sora as well.
“Too bad Sora, water conducts electricity” Draxx teased.
Then a strong aura knocks Draxx off his feet.
“Wind Piercing Bullet” Mariposa said as she fired directly.
The enhanced bullet is not enough to pierce. Sora’s powerful armor
“Aqua Prison” Sora casted and Draxx was recklessly captured.
Using Kirin’s lightning magic manage to destroy the water prison, but it turns into thick smoke instead.
Draxx enhanced his daggers with lightning magic then fought Sora in close combat.
“How on earth is she keeping up with me” Draxx said to himself
“Mariposas clear the fog for me!” Draxx shouted.
“Mariposa casted a strong wind that blew away the thick smore.
“Raging Lightning Spark” Draxx fired at point blank range.
He personally thought it was over but Sora’s wounds just immediately.
“Why you puny mortal!” Sora said in a demonic voice then wings popped out of her back.
Draxx and Mariposa fall back a bit.
“Looks like I just came here just on time” Mariposa said.
“Yeah, glad you’re here,” Draxx said.
Sora’s aura starts to go haywire. Her wings start to take shape. Horns on her forehead
Kirin fires the strongest lightning magic he has but it did not budge.
“Try harder mortals,” Sora said in a demonic manner.
The blasted armor was but it was immediately restored to its former stater.
“What now Draxx?”
“Can’t keep up with my magic now?”
“Never get too cocky. Remember there is someone always better than you” Sora said in her regular voice.
“You should focus on your attacks patterns next.”
“Your close combat attacks are a repeated pattern that is easy to memorize. Try putting some variation next”.
“And for you Mariposa. I didn’t expect you to come” Sora said then her wings and horn vanished
“Mariposa, you know Chris expects great things from you so better prove your worth.”
“Your accuracy is top notch but what’s the point if your shots don’t hit?” Sora said as she placed her hand on Mariposa’s shoulder.
“Get your filthy hands off me. You monster!” Mariposa shouted then she unleashed an Aerial Cutter with severed Sora’s left arm.
A huge amount of blood started to gush out, but Sora ignores it then picks up her arm. She sticks her arm back then her tissues regenerated until her arm is completely attached. There was not even a scar on her shoulder.
“If you think that I’m a monster so beat it, but I won’t leave this city not until Chris arrives” Sora with a serious look on her face.
Mariposa was glaring at her then said.
“You have no place in this city Sora!”
“I can sense demonic magic coursing through your veins which makes you our enemy” Mariposa said.
“You don’t have to be scared of me.”
“I can balance it.”
“If I harm one innocent person, I will allow you to execute me” Sora said seriously.
“What about I execute you know?” Mariposa boastfully said that the wind started to blow.
“I like to see you try,” Sora said as she unleashed a divine aura.
Lightning then strikes at the middle of them.
“That’s enough you two!” Draxx shouted.
“Training’s over Draxx!”
“Let us practice some other time. When no one is around to bother us” Sora said then takes her leave.
“What did she mean by training? Don’t tell me you’re cooperating with a demon”.
“I’ll stay away from her if I were you.”
“She’s not the same Sora you grew up with,” Mariposa seriously said.
At a blink of an eye, she vanished. Draxx mounts Kirin then looks for the bag of elemental fragments he tosses earlier.
“f**k! I can’t find it.”
“I know I threw it here earlier,” Draxx said as he flipped over every rock.
“Sir Draxx looking for this!” Someone shouted.
Draxx immediately looked. He saw Ryzen holding the bag. With lightning-fast speed he snatched it from him.
“Who gave you permission to take my stuff?” Draxx said as he glared at Ryzen.
“Look I’m sorry.”
“I didn’t open it, the promise just gave it a good shake.”
“I saw you toss it earlier, so I picked it up. By the way you reacted to it, it looks like precious things are inside the bag.”
“What are those anyway?” Ryzen asked.
“These are actually elemental fragments” Draxx said as he let the students peek then immediately closed it.
“WTF If someone else picks that up I can’t think what you could possibly do” Ryzen said straight at Draxx’ face.
“I was about to flip the entire town when I couldn't find it earlier.”
“Good thing you picked it up,” Draxx said.
Ryzen giggled then said.
“Says the man who scolded me for picking it up earlier.”
“Let’s go, Kirin” Draxx shouted, then Kirin jumped over the city wall and Draxx mounted him while in midair.
Somewhere on the streets, Sora is examining her thoughts as she heads to their restaurant.
“Am I really a demon now?”
“Doesn’t feel like it,” she said as she examined her body.
“How can she say that I’m a demon? My memories are still fuzzy, but I know I had wings and horns earlier and I am fully aware of it unlike what happened that night.”
“I thought I was sleeping but it seems my mind is toying with me. I can remember seeing myself talking to Draxx that night. Maybe my soul wandered off because something else inhabits this body.”
“It’s scary being consumed in the dark and there's no way out. Even a fraction of light cannot pass thru. The swirling darkness inside me is tearing me from in and out. The emotions I feel only worsens it.”
“Anger, loneliness, regret, and fear plus the people around always look down on me like I am worthless” she said then she recalls what Draxx said in the cafeteria earlier.
“Why does it have to be me.”
“Why do I have to be the one to transform into a demon? Am I really that bad of a person? Well, I did hire someone to kill my sister plus I also have the intention in ending her life when we dueled. f**k you sis you deserve that for stealing my man from me”.
About a few blocks away from the restaurant, Sora has this vigilant look on her face. As if she is waiting for something to pop out. She continued walking until she heard a crash coming from the restaurant. Sora quickly ran as fast as she could.
“Mom what happened!” She shouted as she barged in the restaurant.
She was shocked to see a dark entity standing at the center of the room. All the customers are at the corner with terrified faces. The entity turns around and Sora sees her mother being strangled.
“Let go of her!” Sora shouted then she charges in
She tried summoning her sacred gear, but it did not work. The entity swings its arms that shove Sora to the wall moments later Draxx and Mariposa arrived
“What in the world!” Draxx reacted as he saw the dark entity.
