“Aerial Cutter” Mariposa careless casted
The demon used Eleanor as a shield. With lightning- fast speed Draxx teleported in front of the wind magic and blocked it using one of his daggers. The entity slammed its arm at Draxx but Draxx blocks it using his second blade. He even manages to cut the entity’s hand.
The dark entity then throws Eleanor then picks up its hand. Kirin catches Eleanor, Mariposa chases the dark entity while Draxx tends to the civilians.
“Attention all units, attention all units”
“We have demons on the loose. I repeat we have a demon on the loose.” Draxx announced using telepathy.
While running the demon attaches it hand back
“You’re not getting away monster!”
“Wind destruction magic: Infinite Aerial Cutter” Mariposa casted
She unleashes consecutive strikes that landed on the entity. The dark entity then turns on an alley which leads them to the market. Civilians were terrified as they saw the dark entity passes thru
Someone then jumped off a building then landed on the monster, stabbed it several times until it dropped to the ground.
“Move!” Mariposa shouted as she pulled out her gun.
The man that jumped off the building and mounts the monster.
“Wind Piercing Bullet” Mariposa said as she pulled the trigger.
Mariposa walks towards it thinking she finished it off, but it still manages to crawl.
“Still alive eh!”
“I’ll send you to hell,” Mariposa said as she charged the Aerial Cutter.
She was about to unleash it, but someone held her wrist then said.
“Don’t” a familiar male voice said.
The concentrated magic then fades.
“Suit yourself.”
“I already warned you,” Mariposa said.
“Hey you!”
“Thanks” Mariposa said to the guy who helped him.
“No prob”
“Our squad was just around the corner when we heard several people screaming” the guy said then he pulled his katana out.
“Oh, there you are.”
“We finally caught up,” Ryzen then stopped the moment he saw the dark entity.
“That was fast,” Ryzen reacted.
“Oh, Ryzen you know him?” Mariposa asked.
“Yeah, he’s my trusty assassin, Luis” Ryzen said
While they were chatting the dark entity finally healed up all its wounds. It made a loud screech that disabled everyone around it. It unleashed a strong dark blue aura that knocks everyone off their feet. Wings then popped out its back then took off.
“This isn’t the last time we will face Mariposa.”
“I’ll tear you, limb from limb the next time we meet” the dark entity said in a demonic voice.
“Eat it,” Mariposa shouted as she fired her gun.
The dark entity then summons a gooey barrier that manages to stop the enhanced bullet.
Mariposa was about to take off but Draxx put his arm in front of her then said.
“Let it be.”
“We still have a mess to clean,” Draxx said seriously.
Ryzen and his squad were about to bail out, but Mariposa teleported in front of them then said.
“Going somewhere?” with a bossy look on her face.
“I think we’ll pass because we didn’t sign up for this,” Ryzen said as he walked the other way.
“Not so fast pretty boy”
“Are you going to help, or I’ll split you into two?” Mariposa threatened.
Ryzen started shaking and couldn't even look back. He takes a deep gulp then says.
“You really can’t take a joke.”
“So, what's your answer?” Mariposa said to Ryzen’s ear then placed her enhanced hand on Ryzen’s neck.
Ryzen tried moving his eyes to get his squad mates' reaction, but they already started cleaning.
“Fine!” Ryzen stubbornly said.
“Great!” Mariposa said then she removes her hand.
Ryzen finally breathes properly.
“Phew I thought I was a goner.”
“Stupid mad woman” Ryzen ranted
Mariposa walked towards Draxx then pulled his sleeve.
“That kid over there, who is he?” Mariposa asked.
“Who? There are five of them” Draxx said as he looked at Ryzen’s squad mates.
“The one with the katana” Mariposa clarifies.
“Oh! Luis”
“He’s my top student,” Draxx informed me.
“I see.”
“Is he a knight or an assassin?” Mariposa asked.
“Why do you ask?” Draxx asked with a suspicious look in his face.
“He’s my assassin. You, old hag” Ryzen said as he passes thru
“Hey Zen!”
“So, he’s your assassin. Doesn’t look like one.”
“He fits more to be a knight because he is way too careless for an assassin,” Mariposa said.
Ryzen just giggled.
“And how do you say so?” Ryzen asked with his hands on his hips.
“He just jumped off a building just to attack an unknown enemy.”
“For an assassin he’s way too careless” Mariposa said.
“But did anything happen to him? None, right”
“He always executes with perfection. He may not kill the target in a single hit, but I am sure his next attack will do the trick” Ryzen said then he turns his back at them.
“In addition to what he said. Luis is so great in camouflage that his prey cannot sense or feel his presence. The next thing his target sees is their blood gushing out of their bodies” Draxx said.
Mariposa then imagines the scenario earlier then she realizes something.
“Come to think of it I enhanced my gun with wind magic because I didn’t sense anyone close by.”
“But how in the world did that happen? Surely my senses are working properly that time and he doesn’t have any magic to get to that location in a fraction of a second.”
“I wonder” a thought in Mariposa’s head.
From a distance the dark entity landed. Its wings vanished as soon as it set foot on the ground.
“That b***h surely pisses me off” the dark entity said in a feminine voice.
It slowly reverted to its human form. Dark sludge drips off revealing a fair woman.
“I badly need a shower” She said as she fixed her hair and headed back to the city.
Draxx and the others went back to the Power’s restaurant.
“How’s she doing Kirin?” Draxx worriedly asks as she stares at Eleanor’s sorry state.
“She’s fine, no major injuries,” Kirin informed.
“Draxx” Eleanor said in a soft manner.
“What is it Madam?” Draxx immediately responded.
“Take care of Sora for me” She said then took her last breath.
“Madam! Madam!” Draxx said as she repeatedly taps Eleanor’s lifeless body.
“She’s gone Draxx,” Mariposa calmly said.
Draxx was devastated and he repeatedly said.
“No” in monotone
“Why didn’t a single medic arrive!” Draxx ranted.
“They responded but I sent them away.”
“Her condition is far from any scientific medication they have to offer” Kirin said.
“But why? Couldn’t you have at least let them try?” Draxx said.
“Her cut in her throat is a curse.”
“Even with Batis healing magic wouldn’t work,” Kirin said.
Draxx seems pissed.
“You know that it’s her fault, right?”
“If only she could control her demonic power this might not happen.”
“If I were you, I’ll s*******r that b***h” Mariposa whispered.
“Stop messing with my mind okay!” Draxx shouted then thunder roared.
“Even if Sora is that monster I won’t killer her.”
“I swore to Madam that I will protect her at all coz even if I turn against everyone” Draxx said then lightning circulates in his body.
“Do you hear what you are saying Draxx?”
“Are you really going to rebel just for the sake of protecting a demon?”
“Please stop your foolishness,” Mariposa shouted.
“Kirin!” Draxx said then Kirin stands beside him in an intimidating manner.
Mariposa stands her ground then unleashes her divine aura. Looks like she is not backing down. They glared at each other waiting for their opponents first move.
“That’s enough for you two.”
“Be a better example to your students,” Ryzen said as he stepped in the middle.
Then Mariposa and Draxx take that opportunity to strike. They thought that one of them let their guard down.
Then Luis and the top-ranking knight flashed in front of them with lightning enhanced weaponry
“Lightning creation magic: Static Prison” Ryzen casted then lightning in a form of a café trapped Draxx and Mariposa separately
“The hell Zen” Mariposa reacted
Draxx immediately dispelled his trap.
“Before I punish you for stealing that lightning fragment. Why did you step in?”
“You know that was dangerous right?” Draxx said.
“If I didn’t step in. One of you would be seriously injured by now and we can’t afford that to happen.”
“Not at this time that the demons are advancing. We need both of you” Ryzen said.
“Okay, now hand over that lightning fragment” Draxx said.
“And why should I do that?”
“I told you earlier that I didn’t open the bag I picked up. I got this a while back from a demon I killed” Ryzen said without even flinching.
“It is or else” Draxx threatened.
“Kirin, let's go,” Draxx said as he glared at Mariposa.
With lightning-fast speed he took off
“Hay! What would you do without us” Ryzen blubbered then sighs?
He then dispels the static prison he casted.
“Tell me, did you buff your assassin earlier?”
“Back when I was chasing that demon” Mariposa curiously said.
