“What was that?” A question I asked myself.
I continue to head back to the academy. On my way Mariposa just popped out of nowhere and she looks exhausted
“They are coming,” Mariposa said in a distressed voice while she clenched my sleeves.
“Who is coming?” I asked as I held her tight.
“The demons”
“The demons are coming” Mariposa frightenedly said.
“I sensed strong, no! unparalleled demonic magic coming for the mountains.”
“Elder’s mana didn’t even come close and she was the strongest person I know,” Mariposa said.
“Don’t worry we got this.”
“We just need to work as one. Strength in numbers they say” I calmly said.
“How about we go get us something to snack on. My treat” I proposed.
“Okay” She said
While walking I noticed her vigilant look. Her eyes can even remain in place just for five seconds. It seems she is paranoid.
“It’s fine to be afraid. It is completely natural, but you should know that nothing good comes out when fear manifests.”
“During that surge of power, I too felt scared.”
“I was unable to breathe but instead of quivering in fear I stand my ground and face it head on.”
“Never decide on the outcome of a battle you never participated in. The result may change because it solely depends on how it was executed.”
“If right from the start you already gave up the result would end in disqualification, correct?”
“What I am trying to say is that no matter the outcome, try. If you lose you lose, use the knowledge and experience you gain to win the next time you try” I said.
“Cheer up, yeah we are almost near the food stalls” I teased.
After we were done eating, we went our separate ways. I head back to the academy and call Draxx and Sora for an important announcement. I was approaching the academy then I saw this swirling wind covering most of the campus ground.
“Earth Pillars” I casted to break the strong wind.
With lightning- fast speed I stopped Alice and Sora from fighting
“Disengage now or else” I said in a pissed manner.
The two ladies distanced themselves from each other
I took several deep breaths then asked.
“What is the point of all these?”
“Act like the grown up you both are!” I scolded them.
“And you Draxx why didn’t you stop them!” I also scolded him.
“I tried but they didn’t listen.”
“Alice just attacks Sora as soon as we arrive,” Draxx explained.
“And why on earth did you attack her?” I asked.
“She injured Lora!” Alice raised her voice at me.
“She was only in that state because she can’t defend herself!” Sora raised her voice at Alice.
“Why you little” Alice shouted.
Then thunder roared as I built up my mana. I can sense that their heart is pounding. It seems they are frightened.
“You two I don’t want to see you fighting again.”
“Do I make myself clear?” I spoke.
They gave me a nod.
“So, Alice, when did you arrive?”
“Any luck in finding our run-away student?” I asked, then the sky cleared up.
“I couldn’t save her,” she murmured.
“Huh?” I reacted because I did not hear it clearly.
“I couldn’t save her.”
“Elemental users wearing matching masks abducted her.”
“One second I was chasing her then two masked people gang up on me. Jane vanishes soon after.”
“I managed to strike one down then it vanished. I wanted to track them down, but my sensory magic couldn’t locate them” Alice said.
“Glad that you are here. As soon as Lora wakes up, I have important matters to discuss with you with” I seriously said.
Then a strong wind blew, and Mariposa suddenly appeared in front of us.
“They are here!” She spoke.
I used sensory magic, but I could not sense anything.
Draxx and the others got alarmed so they geared up.
“They are here!” Mariposa frightenedly said.

“You two go ahead, I still need to check on Lora” I said then I ran towards the infirmary.
Draxx and Mariposa finally arrived at the west gate.
“I can’t see anything.” Draxx said as he looked as far as he could.
“My sensory magic never failed me.”
“I am sure that someone is coming,” Mariposa said as she clenched her first.
“Maybe you’re just too tired coz you have been working all day.”
“How about you sit for a bit while I take your post?” Draxx said as he forced Mariposa to take a seat.
“But I am not joking nor tired.”
“If you won’t believe me, fine. I already did my part in informing you” Mariposa raised her voice then she walks out.
“Wait!” Draxx shouted as he chased her.
When Draxx came out of the room Mariposa was nowhere to be seen
“Ah! Where could she run to now?” Draxx said then he looks at the two ends of the hallway.
With quick thinking he went to the opposite side of the hallway
“Mariposa! Mariposa, I am sorry!”
“Please don’t hide from me,” Draxx repeatedly shouted until he reached the exit.
“Chris the status is clear here.”
“I can’t see any potential threat that Mariposa was talking about, but I’ll send Kirin just to make sure” Draxx informed me using telepathy.
“I see, head back to the academy after you’re done there” I said.
“Sorry but I need to do something.”
“You see Mariposa might have run away because I said something to upset her,” Draxx said.
“Okay we’ll be on our way” I said.
“Say Lora, we will be heading out. Will you be fine without us?” I asked.
“No Chris, I am staying she needs me” Alice said
“If that’s what you want, I won’t stop you” I said.
“We'll better get going. Mariposa is missing,” I said then Sora and I went on my way.
“If you don’t mind me asking why Alice attacked you?”
“Surely there is a deeper explanation other than she hates you for hurting Lora?” I asked.
“Why won’t you ask her yourself?” Sora said as she crossed her arms.
I just sigh and remain silent. After several minutes
“Say Chris, what happened to Mariposa?”
“You just said that she went missing, right? But Draxx was with her” Sora asked.
“Why are you asking me? Go ask her yourself” I said.
“K!” She seems pissed.
“Cheer up dummy. You know I was just joking” I teased as I placed my arm over her shoulder.
“No, you’re the dummy! You dummy” Sora said then she starts laughing.
“We should pick up the pace” Sora said then she started running.
"I have a better idea. Come with me" I said
I summoned my sacred gear that allows me to levitate. I grabbed Sora on her waist then carried her.
“Where are you at?” I asked Draxx using telepathy.
“At town central” Draxx replied.
“Draxx is at the town center. We should split so we could easily find her” I said to Sora.
“Okay, I’ll be heading this way” Sora said as she pointed out where she would be heading.
“Then I’ll take this one.”
“Whoever finds her first contact immediately. Okay” I said
She gave me a thumbs up then went on her way.
“Where could she run off to?” Draxx frustratingly said as he roams around the town central
He was busy looking around and did not see the walking kid in front of him. He tripped over and almost landed on the kid luckily someone managed to catch her. Their eyes met.
“You look stunning,” Draxx reacted.
He shook his head then stood up.
“I’m sorry I wasn’t looking where I was headed” Draxx apologized.
“I am sorry too mister I wasn’t looking as well” the kid said.
“Are you hurt? I could bring you to the hospital?” Draxx worriedly asked.
“I am fine mister, no need to worry about it,” the kid said as he pounds his chest.
“I am glad to hear that,” Draxx said then smiled.
“Sorry to bother you sir but can I ask you something?”
“We are looking for this school named Biblia Academy do you know where it is?” The lady asked.
“I would love to escort you there, but I am finding someone important now. Miss?” Draxx said.
“Clarissa, I am Clarissa Awe,” the lady said.
“Well Miss Awe just wait over there near that statue and my friends will come pick you all up.”
“I better get going” Draxx said then went on his way.
“Thanks, you ever you are!” Clarissa shouted.
“I am Darling” Draxx shouted
“Darling? What a peculiar name” Clarissa said then she giggles
“Alright kids follow me” Clarissa cheerfully said to get the kids’ attention.
Clarissa and the kids waited for Sora and me to arrive. It took several minutes but we made it.
“Oh Clarissa!” I said as I waved my hand.
