“So, what now?” Draxx asked.
“You can start with your training. I am going to roam around for a bit” Mariposa said then she took off.
Draxx then blasted Kirin with lightning magic. Kirin fires back but Draxx dodges it. Draxx fires back but Kirin soars high.
“No fair!” Draxx ranted.
“All is fair in war!” Kirin said then he charges lightning magic in his horn.
“Oh no!” Draxx shouted.
Kirin consecutively fires lightning beams towards Draxx
“Wait!”
“I am not ready yet!” Draxx shouted as he tried to evade every hit.
“Not ready?”
“Says the one who attacks without a warning” Kirin said as he fires more.
“Hope this works.”
“Lightning destruction magic: Shockwave” Draxx casted then electricity pushed away from his body canceling Kirin’s attacks.
Then a huge beam is heading straight at him. He closes his eyes with his arms wide open.
“What are you doing dude?” Mariposa said.
“I’m alive? I’m alive!” Draxx said as he touched his body.
“Woah!” Draxx reacted as soon as he saw the scorched earth beside him.
“WTF Kirin you could have killed me!” Draxx shouted.
“But I didn’t!” Kirin said then he fires another beam with a greater force.
“Wind creation magic: Wall of Surging Winds” Mariposa casted
Strong winds block the beam like it was nothing.
Draxx then shoots up the sky with his divine aura.
“Flash Cannon,” Draxx said as he fired the spell, he charged earlier.
Kirin used his unparalleled speed to easily evade it.
“I don’t think so!” Draxx said as he teleported beside Kirin.
At point blank range, Draxx blasted Kirin.
Kirin was sent flying as he plummets to the ground.
“Draxx so dummy!” Mariposa shouted then she went to chase Kirin.
Draxx also went to check Kirin.
Mariposa got there first and she saw Kirin starting to fade.
“Kirin!” Mariposa shouted as she ran towards him.
She immediately embraces Kirin’s head then says.
“Don’t leave us.”
“Don’t worry, I won’t be going anywhere.”
“Tell Draxx that he has improved,” Kirin said, then he completely fades away.
Draxx arrived only to see the floating mana particles.
“What have I done?” Draxx said then he started hurting himself.
“Draxx no!” Mariposa shouted as she tried to stop Draxx from inflicting more.
“Wind creation magic: Mistral Restraints” Mariposa casted that shackled Draxx’ limbs
She gave him a strong slap then said.
“Stop whining!”
“Kirin isn’t dead, he is just resting. He just needs time to recover the mana he lost.”
Draxx then starts to calm down.
“Remember they are just manifestations of mana. They are not actually alive. They are more likely to be a ghost that has no physical body” Mariposa said.
“Oh God please make him fall for it.”
“I seriously don’t know what I am talking about,” Mariposa prayed.
“Hey, you can let go of me now.”
“This position is making my armpits sweat,” Draxx said.
“Looks like you’re back” Mariposa said then she let go of Draxx
“You don’t have to retrain me. I was practically under control. I was just shocked to see Kirin depart like that.”
“I wish I was the one to talk to him.”
“And did you enhance your slap with magic coz I felt my soul went out of my body” Draxx said as he rubs his wrists to remove the tension.
“Don’t feel down.”
“Kirin wanted to say that you have improved a lot,” Mariposa said as she fists bumps Draxx’ chest.
Morning, Draxx was at the cafeteria moping as he waited for his breakfast.
Mariposa was at the entrance stalking him.
“What happened to him?” Sora asked.
Mariposa was startled.
“So, you finally noticed me?” Mariposa said.
“Nah! I am not concerned about you, I am concerned with him.”
“Now answer my question,” Sora said.
“He seriously injured Kirin to the point that his divine beast can take form” Mariposa said.
“What the Fuc” Sora reacted
Sora then barges in the cafeteria while stomping her feet. The students all look at her thinking what she is up to
Sora pulled her seat then sat down. She places her elbows on the table then says.
“Shape up dummy!”
Draxx just ignored her as he stuffs his face.
The soup Draxx was eating started to gush out of his bowl.
“What’s wrong with you!” Draxx shouted as he slammed his hands on the table.
Sora gave him a slap.
The students had this painful expression on their faces.
Draxx stood up then took his leave. Sora followed him but he stopped then seriously said.
“Leave me alone” then he continues walking.
The students avoided eye contact as Draxx passes by
Mariposa tried to reach out, but she saw some sparks, so she hesitated. Draxx heads to his room
“Why didn’t you stop him!” Sora ranted.
“I don’t want to die just yet you know,” Mariposa said as she rolled her eyes.
“What now?” Sora said to herself as she wipes her face with her hand.
“I don’t know.
“How about we talk to him?” Mariposa said but when she turned to have a look Sora already left.
“AHHHH!” Mariposa shouted frustratedly.
Sora started giggling as she headed to the men’s building.
“Draxx, are you there?” Sora asked as she knocked on the door.
“Leave me alone!” Draxx shouted.
“Look I’m sorry for earlier!”
“I didn’t mean to offend you, but I feel sorry for you!”
“I never saw you so down before. If something is bothering you, please don’t hesitate to speak up.”
“I’ll be at the restaurant if you want someone to talk to,” Sora said, then she left.
“What’s up with her?” Mariposa said as she peeks at the corner.
Several minutes later, demons started invading the city. Ryzen and his squad took the frontline with the help of Mark, Sarah, and Tyrone
The evacuation alarm rang. The students tried calming the civilians down to avoid unnecessary mishaps.
“We need to back up here at the west gate!” Mark announced using telepathy.
“We can’t demons are also attacking the east gate.”
“We’re under attack at the northern gate.”
“Same goes here at the southern gate” the assassins replied.
“No one is going to respond. The demons got us surrounded” mark informed the others.
“Sarah goes evacuate the civilians.”
“Threat anyone who is injured” Tyrone ordered.
“But what about you guys?” Sarah worriedly said.
“Don’t worry about us.”
“We got this. Just give us ten minutes and we will catch up” Mark said.
“Please focus on the battlefield so you can chat later!” Ryzen said.
“Take care guys” Sarah said then she went on her way.
“Why do you have to let her go?”
“Can you see we are short in men?” Ryzen said.
“She’s a healer. She doesn’t belong in the battlefield” Tyrone said.
But still with her here we can easily tend to the wounded.”
“You know that if these demons pass us. They are screwed right?” Ryzen said.
“Yeah! But that won’t happen” Tyrone confidently said.
“Pentecost” Tyrone cast a flame and started to pop out his allies’ forehead.
“What’s this feeling? I feel so light, like I’m allowed to fly.”
“I feel powerful all of a sudden” the crowd said.
“Everyone focusses.”
“Use that power to end this” Tyrone commanded.
“Fire destruction magic: Phoenix Dive” Tyrone casted then a huge bird mage of fire soar high then dives right straight in the hoard of demons.
As soon as it laid contact it made a massive explosion.
“Zen tends to the other gates.”
“I think we got this one” Tyrone said.
The students finally advance and take the battle outside the city wall.
“Men move out!” Ryzen ordered his squad immediately withdraw from the battlefield.
“What’s up? What made you get all so worked up suddenly?” Luis asked.
“Tyrone stole my thunder.”
“I should be the one commanding the pack” Ryzen said with a clenched jaw.
“Don’t worry you’ll have your show” Luis motivated.
“Let’s split up!” Ryzen ordered then with lightning-fast speed they teleported to the three gates.
“Everyone hurries but no pushing!” Sarah said as she assists the evacuating citizens.
“Miss, I need your help. My son was caught in the stampede earlier and his foot got badly injured,” a young lady said as she carried his son on her back and an infant in front of her.
Sora assisted her to the side to avoid clogging.
“I need help here!” Sarah shouted to get the attention of his fellow students.
“What seems to be the problem?” a student said.
“May we see his injury?” Sarah asked.
The student assisted the mother.
“Careful, his leg is fractured,” the mother informed.
They gently lower down the kid. His leg is completely swollen and all purply.
“Water Rejuvenation” Sarah casted then she slowly lowers her hand down.
“You ready?” Sarah asked.
The kid just hesitantly nods.
“This is gonna sting a bit okay” Sarah said then she counted to three.
On three she immediately placed her hand. The kid shouted so loud that it managed to stop the evacuating citizens. They all have this disturbing look on their faces.
The student started shouting to make them start moving again.
