“Kirin do you know a skill that can boost your allies’ speed and strengths in a short period of time?” Draxx asked.
“Lightning magic?”
“Lightning Speed would do” Kirin informed.
“What! I can cast lightning speed to my allies?”
“Neat” Draxx reacted
Draxx buffed Luis using lightning magic.
“Really what I needed was thanks,” Luis said, then he kept his pace while facing the demon and the two snake heads.
“Blade Art number 53: Edge of Night” Luis casted as he slices the demon with his first blade.
He was about to stab the opening he made but the snakeheads attacked him in both directions. Draxx and Kirin fired lightning bolts that beheaded the aura.
By the time that Luis stabs his dagger the cut was already healed.
Luis decided to fall back.
“Nice try for a student”
“If you haven’t chicken out and trusted your allies in backing you up you might land that second blade” the demon complimented.
“Tell me what kind of enhanced magic that was?” the demon asked.
“Lightning magic?” Draxx reacted.
“Not that, that two blade art he used.”
“I didn’t know that non-magic users could cast such refined spells,” the demon said.
“Blade Art number 69: Vanishing Shadow Strike” Luis casted then vanishes.
“I want you to cast your strongest lightning magic when I landed a clean hit on her” Luis telepathically said to Draxx
Draxx’ lip moved.
Several moments later Luis popped out from the demon’s shadow making a huge cut. He then used the two blades to cut off the snake head and immediately threw both daggers before the wound closed.
“Lightning destruction magic: Lightning Rod” Draxx casted then lightning struck the two daggers.
“Fools”
“Lightning magic doesn’t work on me, I know your place, mortals” the demon said as she pulled out the daggers then tossed it away.
“Was that it, kid?”
“Show me more amazing tricks. I am eager to check them all out.”
“How about we start with one down to the last?” the demon said.
“Sure, I’ll play along,” Luis seriously said as he picked up the daggers.
“But first I want to know your intentions.”
“What are you fighting for?” Luis asked.
“What am I fighting for?” the demon said then smiled while shaking her head.
“We just want to stop the war,” the demon said.
“But we also want to stop the war.”
“Can’t we just live-in peace?” Luis asked.
“But we can’t”
“The sacred scriptures that you mortals are reading is nothing but pure fallacy.”
“Demons’ are nothing but angels that rebelled against God because of his misjudgments.”
“We are not the bad guy he is.”
“He is just milking you of all of your natural mana” the demon said.
Luis spins his daggers and holds it upside down.
Then they heard a loud explosion, and it came from where Luis’s squad was gathering materials.
“Looks like my buddies are back” the demon said.
“Draxx you can fight without these daggers, right?” Luis seriously asked.
“Yeah” Draxx reacted
“Go check that out and I’ll take it from here.”
“If what she said were true. Demons with her caliber are attacking my friends” Luis seriously said.
“Sure,” Draxx said as he mounted Kirin.
“Don’t die on me okay, promise me to return my daggers back” Draxx said.
Luis just gave a thumbs up and started moving fast.
Luis started attacking the demon but her wounds just regenerated.
“At this pace I will definitely lose” Luis seems pissed.
“My turn to ask” the demon said.
“What are you fighting for?”
“Surely you don’t fight for peace because we all have different connotations of what peace is.”
“Tell me, what are you fighting for?” the demon asked.
“I just want this war to stop.”
“Life today, sucks. Like I really don’t care of what happens next”
“And if what you were saying were true. I still don’t care if god betrayed or not.”
“For us, all of you are nothing but monsters” Luis said.
“You really are blunt,” Luis said as he attacked once more.
Luis is getting slower and slower as time passes by and the demon seems to be having a great time. She seems to be enjoying Luis.
“Mortal how about joining my ranks.”
“I can give anything you desire, even bring back the dead for you,” the demon bargained.
Luis decided to fall back
“As if you can do that” Luis blabbered.
“But I can. Don’t you know that magic is limitless” the demon said as she walks towards Luis?
“Stay back!” Luis shouted then he held the daggers in the upright position.
“You don’t need to be afraid coz I won’t hurt you.”
“We demons are true to our words unlike you pitiful souls” the demon said
“What do you mean by pitiful?”
“It’s not our fault that our whole life was a lie” Luis ranted
The demon laughed so hard that she started crying.
“How about this mortal”
“I grant you anything you want in exchange to join my ranks.”
“I promise to make it worth your while” the demon said.
“Okay demon, I’ll play along” Luis seems interested.
“Call me Leviathan,” the demon said.
“Okay Levi, I want you to bar my friend back.”
“Foolish demons killed him earlier,” Luis said as he crossed his arms and his foot fidgets.
Leviathan just stared at him for a while thinking there is more
“And?” Leviathan said like she was hanging.
“Huh?” Luis reacted.
“Who’s the friend you are speaking off?”
“I am not psychic you know” Leviathan said
Luis sighed then said.
“Ryzen”
“He’s this tall,” he said while estimating Ryzen’s height.
“Black hair, with a grumpy look on his face” Luis informed me.
“Lightning user?” Leviathan added.
“Yeah, that’s the one” Luis seems excited.
“Sorry but I can’t”
“Anything else?” Leviathan said.
“I thought you would grant anything,” Luis said as he stared at her.
“I can’t bring back someone that is still alive.”
“That’s against the rules,” Leviathan said.
“What! Ryzen is still alive!” Luis shouted because he cannot believe what he just heard.
“Can you bring him here? I want to see him” Luis excitedly said.
“Sure, if you agreed to my conditions” Leviathan said
“How about you show him first and I’ll think about it.”
“I just want to make sure because you might trick me in joining your ranks. You are a demon after all” Luis said with a suspicious look in his face.
“Sure, no problem”
“We demons are true to our word” Leviathan said.
“Hey! Lucifer come down here!” Leviathan shouted as she looked to the sky.
Then someone descent
“Ryzen!” Luis cheerfully shouted as he saw Ryzen descending from the sky
Ryzen was about to land beside Leviathan, but Luis teleported behind Leviathan using the Blade Art he used earlier.
He tried stabbing Leviathan, but Ryzen took the blow instead. Blood started gushing out Ryzen’s hand.
“They are not our enemy,” Ryzen said, so Luis was weirded out.
Luis decided to return to his place.
Ryzen reaps his shirt then tosses it to Luis then shouted.
“Catch” he then let Leviathan heal his wound.
Luis undoubtedly catches the cloth and wipes his blade.
“That’s Ryzen” He said to himself as he nods.
With lightning-fast speed Ryzen teleported beside Luis
“I thought you were dead. The other students said that the demons made a feast out of you” Luis worriedly said.
“Yeah, I know” Ryzen in a pale tone.
Luis shivered.
“I am not a spirit dummy,” Ryzen said, then he lightly punched Luis’ shoulder.
“I beg to a demon to heal me and in exchange I’ll do anything he pleases.”
“Just so you know I didn’t regret it. They are actually like us but hideous” Ryzen said but he whispered the word hideous.
Luis laughed
“You trust me, right?” Ryzen asked.
“Of course,” Luis immediately responded.
“Leviathan come over here” Ryzen shouted.
Luis felt uneasy but Ryzen gave him a pat at the back then said.
“Everything is going to be fine.”
Leviathan’s aura fades and the sludge covering her body drips off as she approaches them.
Luis did not expect Sora to be Leviathan.
“You too Ma’am?” Luis asked.
“Huh? Leviathan reacted.
“Please stop the formalities. Call me Leviathan but Levi also works” Leviathan said.
“So, you’re Lora, correct?” Luis weirdly asked.
“Dude, I think she doesn’t know who Lora and Sora is” Ryzen whispered
“By the way don’t call me Ryzen anymore because I am no longer called by that name.”
“Call me Lucifer from now on,” Ryzen said.
“Sure Zen, I mean Luci” Luis said
“Dude! Lucifer, Luci sounds like a girl’s name” Lucifer ranted.
“LOL” Luis reacted
