“Looks like you two are enjoying yourselves.”
“What about my proposal?” Leviathan said.
“And what’s that about?” Lucifer asked.
“He’ll join my ranks if I manage to summon you,” Leviathan said.
“Dude no pressure you can turn it down if you feel like it. No one can dictate you on what do you want to do”
“Your life, your choices,” Lucifer said.
“But what about you Zen?”
“Why didn’t you turn it down? Are demons really not the savage beast we think they are?” Luis asked.
“They still are but there are few that have reasons like her” Lucifer said.
“Did it ever cross your mind to abandon them and regroup with us?”
“You know that we all got worried sick thinking about your death and here you are teaming up with demons” Luis said.
“As I told you, your life is your choice.”
“When I was on the brink of death. I realized that I wasn’t prepared to die yet.”
“When Beelzebub healed me, I knew that mine wasn't mine anymore, it belonged to him.”
“I am still lucky that I am alive right now, but I need to pay him back and joining his rank was the only option,” Lucifer said.
“Okay then” Luis said then he stands up.
“I’ll join your rank Levi but on three conditions.”
“First, I want you and the other demons to call off the attack.”
“Second, I want an elemental stone too. Any element will do.”
“Lastly, I want you to bring back Sora” Luis said
“Sorry but that last one is not your call” Leviathan said.
“I’ll allow it,” Lucifer said gladly.
“But!” Leviathan ranted.
Lucifer just gave him a glare and she was immediately silenced.
You can feel the intensity of their looks.
“Fine!” Leviathan said then she rolls her eyes at Lucifer.
A dark apparition then came out of Sora then it vanished.
Lucifer picks up Sora’s necklace.
“What are you doing? Give it back!” Luis shouted.
“Sorry but not your call”
“We did our part of the bargain, now do yours,” Lucifer said.
“Not until you return that” Luis raised his voice.
“Sorry bud but you only wished three and all have been granted.”
“Be more specific next time. You did not restrict us. I can even do anything I want to her because you didn’t restrict me on doing it” Lucifer said.
“Let’s go.”
“We will meet them soon enough, don't worry,” Lucifer said as he walked away.
Luis stabs the two daggers beside Sora and speaks.
“I only did this just to save you.”
“Your life is more meaningful than mine.”
“Take care Ms. Powers.
Luis then ran towards Lucifer.
“So, what did you say to her?” Lucifer asked.
“Nothing!” Luis seems embarrassed.
“What about that demon earlier?”
“Where will it go?” Luis asked.
“About that in search of a new host of course”
“Good thing you were holding back earlier if not Sora would be dead by now” Lucifer said.
“But I wasn’t holding back!”
“Draxx even boosted me with magic but I still can't beat her,” Luis ranted.
“You said any elemental.
“Here you go” Lucifer said as he tossed the water fragment he stole.
“Thanks,” Luis said as he tried to catch it.
Then Luis has this disturb look in his face
“What’s the matter?” Lucifer concernedly asked.
Then Luis started hearing voices inside his head. He tried ignoring it, but it got louder and louder.
You can tell that Luis cannot handle it anymore because his face was about to snap.
“Everything’s going to be okay,” Lucifer said in a comforting manner.
The voices then suddenly stop.
“Bye Sora” Lucifer said with a huge smile on his face.
“I can’t wait to meet my next successor,” Lucifer excitedly said.
He then grabs hold of Luis then bursts off.
Sora turned arounds then started crying.
Somewhere within the city Draxx and Kirin were facing numerous class A demons.
“How many are they?”
“I am getting pissed!” Draxx ranted.
“You three, take those goods away and bring the civilians with you” Draxx ordered.
The students made a headcount just to make sure everyone is present. They recounted several times but two were missing.
“Oh no! The kid” one of the students reacted.
“Sir!”
“We are missing two!” a student shouted.
“In the military the mission always comes first, no exemptions” Draxx said.
“You guys go ahead while I look for them,” Maximus said.
“Take care Max,” their healer said.
“Go!” Maximus said as he pushed them away.
“If I was a kid, where would I hide?” Maximus asked himself as the charges in the battlefield
Draxx cannot help noticing Maximus running in an open area.
“WTF kid!”
“Didn’t I tell you to scram?” Draxx seems pissed but he makes Maximus not get caught until he manages to cross to the other side.
“Thanks!” Maximus shouted as he waved his hand.
“Anyone there! Please speak up!” Maximus shouted as he roamed around the streets.
“Where could those two went?”
“Come to think of it I haven’t seen him after we all split up” thoughts inside Maximus’ head.
He continued shouting repeatedly then someone responded.
“Don’t be afraid! I am from Royal Biblia Academy. I came here to help!” Maximus shouted.
Then Maximus heard a door creak
“Psst!”
“Over here” a kid whispered as he waved his hands to get Maximus’ attention.
Sad to say that kid is not the one he is searching for that made him worried.
He went up the building to fetch the kid.
“Hey, it’s me, open the door please,” Maximus requested.
Chains started clinging and several moments later the door was unlocked.
Maximus was speechless upon seeing so many children all ground up in a single room.
“Why are you all here?”
“Why didn’t you evacuate?” Maximus asked.
“Why should we?”
“Like our lives matter? We are simply good for nothing street rats” a kid said.
“Don’t say something like that.”
“All lives matter no matter what your status is” Maximus said.
“By the way I am looking for two boys. A kid and a grownup”
“If you saw them pass by here just please contact me asap” Maximus said then he leaves.
“Misters wait” the kid shouted.
Maximus immediately turned back.
“We found a kid heading on the ground floor earlier.”
“Maybe he’s the one you are looking for” the kid informed me.
“Oi! Where’s the new kid?” the kid asked.
“Over here! Still crying” another kid informed
The kid escorted Maximus.
The moment Maximus sees the kids clothes he is certain that kid is the one.
Maximus pats the kid’s back and speaks.
“It’s fine, I am here” Maximus said as he tried to comfort the kid.
The kid heard the familiar tone, so he took a quick peek. Seeing Maximus beside him
The kid hugs Maximus tight so Maximus also wrapped his arms around the kid then said.
“Now, tell me what happened, why are you crying?”
“The guy who is with me gathering items was eaten” The kid seems frightened.
“What a cry baby! You cried because someone was eaten.”
“Please I have seen that too, but I didn’t cry” a kid said then the kids started making noises.
“Shs! Keep quiet” Maximus said and started scaring the kids by looking frightened as he looked around the room.
“See! You’re all scared.”
“What more if you saw the real deal.”
“We all have different points of views. It might not be scary for you but for others it is so never invalidates what others feel” Maximus said.
“Now how will I bring you all to the safe zone.”
“We just can’t walk to the battlefield and let Sir. Draxx escorts us because that would be too risky.”
“What to do ,” Maximus said to himself as he tapped his chin.
They all look weirded out because Maximus is practically talking to himself.
Then a kid asked
“Misters are you with us?”
“Seems to me you’re on drugs coz no sane person will take to himself unless he is rehearsing.”
“You know what kid, you’re right” Maximus said as he points to the kid several times
Maximus all look at the kids as he formulates a plan
Back at the battlefield Draxx somehow manages to drive the demons away. He flew back to the area where Sora and Luis are battling one another. He saw Sora lying on the ground with his daggers beside her, he didn’t even find a trace of Luis
“You poor girl” Draxx said as he removed the clothing he was wearing and made her wear it. He picks her up and brought her to the nearest hospital to get tried
