Gathering: Episode 2

The sun was about to set, and we did not find one.
“It’s okay, headmaster. I know Ms. Sora and the others are fine” Samantha said to cheer me up.
“I guess I’ll head back to Metro to ask my men to help me find them” I said.
“We’ll help too,” Samantha offered
“Don’t! We don’t know when will the enemy next strike”?
“It is best that everyone remains here” I said as I placed my hand on Samantha’s shoulder.
“Be brave” I said then I went on my way.
Before leaving I summon Niyebe and Apoy to stand guard
As soon as I arrive at the academy, I went looking for Draxx
“Looks like the academy was partially burned. Did anyone get hurt?” I worriedly asked.
“No one was hurt during the attack.”
“Say Chris, what happened back there?” Draxx curiously asked.
“I got trapped by the masked elemental user. She bought some time for her allies to invade the city.”
“The worst part is that the Commander was one of them,” I said.
“Looks like he’s being mind controlled” Draxx reacted.
“What happened to the ladies?” Draxx asked.
“I don’t know exactly how coz when I arrived the twins already went missing.”
“Alice got lost during our search. I don’t know if something happened to her” I worriedly said.
“I’ll be taking a power nap.”
“Wake me up if something happens” I said.
“Sure, I’ll continue on my patrol” Draxx said as he went on his way.
While patrolling, Draxx saw Alice chasing Jane. With lightning-fast speed she stopped Jane
“Hold right there,” Draxx said as he restrains her.
Jane gave Draxx a glare, her eyes were pitch-black, and her voice has this eerie tone. Draxx shivered down to his spine then let go of Jane. He just stared at her as she takes off.
“Why did you set her free?”
“Ah!!” Alice said in an irritated manner.
“Sorry! I'll get her” Draxx apologized then with his lightning-fast speed he managed to grab hold of her.
“Foolish mortal!” Jane said in a demonic manner.
She bites Draxx’ shoulder then pulls a chunk of it. Draxx felt excruciating pain so he let go. Jane pushes her away then demon wings come out of her back. Draxx tried using magic but Alice negated it then shouted.
“You imbecile!”
“There are civilians around.”
“Ah!!” Alice shouted then she chased Jane.
Draxx tried contacting Chris but it did not. I could not be reached because I blocked all messages and forgot to dispel it. Draxx’ wound doesn't look so good, so he summons Kirin then immediately heads back to the academy.
“Chris! Chris!” Draxx shouted as he repeatedly pounds my door.
I immediately got up and opened the door. I saw Draxx bleeding.
“What happened!” I shouted then I immediately assisted him to the sofa.
I tried using water healing magic, but the bleeding will not stop. I started to get paranoid. The bleeding is getting out of control and I can see Draxx slowly losing consciousness.
“Stay strong!” I said as I summoned Batis.
Batis gave him an analysis and was able to find dark magic casted on his wound. I casted light purification magic then Batis healed the wound. It stopped bleeding but his shoulder is still exposed. I casted ice healing magic to sustain his treatment and to protect his wound from infection.
“You should take a rest. You lost a large amount of blood” I said as I grabbed my chair.
“What happened?” I asked.
“I saw Alice chasing Jane, so I jumped in and restrained the student, but I didn’t know that she’s possessed. Her eyes were black and had this creepy voice.”
“Just thinking about it gives me the chills” Draxx said shivering.
“What! Alice was here” I reacted.
“Thank God she’s alive.”
“Where did she go?”
“And what happened to your shoulder?”a question I asked.
“I let my guard down for a sec and that b***h bit me, reaping my flesh apart” Draxx said in a pissed manner while stomping his right foot.
“Alright! Rest here while I go look for Alice and that student.”
“If anything happens contact me asap.”
“If your wound started to bleed or something Batis is right here on standby.”
“Okay I am out” I said then went on my wait
I left Draxx at my office together with Batis. With a worried look on my face I said bye then went on my way
“First, Commander and now one of my students”
“Jane Dillinger, if I remember her correctly, is the best marksman I have. Unparalleled accuracy and precision, can handle any type of gun, and she also has great close combat skills.”
“Those friends really know how to scout talent”?
“I hope the twins aren’t abducted as well” thoughts inside my head.
“Oh God please guide them all the way” I prayed.After several hours of searching, I still did not have luck on finding them. With a hazy mind I head to the city of Alphany. While closing in I wield the strongest sacred gears I have and burst too straight in
“What are you doing here in my territory?” The masked lady said as she popped out.
“Step aside” I threatened.
“Ice creation magic: Sealed Igloo” The masked lady casted. Ice barrier started to trap us within its walls.
“Ablaze” I casted then the walls of ice started to burn.
While waiting for it to melt, I charge straight at her.
“Frost Nova” I casted then ice spikes scattered all over the place.
“Powdered Snow” She cast then snow starts to fall.
My fire spell slowly extinguishes and the ice spell I use starts to weaken.
“What in the world”
“It is some sort of nullifying spell,” I said to myself.
With lightning-fast speed I fall back but she just transported in front of me then strike me with a lightning elemental lance. I hit the ground hard then a huge fireball was heading straight at me. I tried to move but that last attack electrocuted me.
“Aqua Prison” I cast a sphere of water to protect me from that fireball.
“Roaring Thunder Shout” A follow spell I cast. The moment I opened my mouth a loud noise came out.
The mask lady could not withstand the noise making her vulnerable.
“Raging Lightning Spark” I casted then a bolt of lightning coming from the heavens struck her, sending her to the ground.
“Earth creation magic: Continental Prison” I casted then the ground binds her.
“Light destruction magic: Ray of a Thousand Sun” I casted then numerous rays of light started to charge up.
“Ice creation magic: Barrier of Dark Ice” The masked lady casted
A huge block of ice formed in front of her that blocked my attack. The light refracted all over the place. The rays of light somehow penetrate the ice wall that surrounds us.
“Crumbling Earth” She casted then ground split in half setting her free
The rays of light finally destroyed the ice walls.
“Who are you” the masked lady asked.
“I don’t have time for chit chat.”
“Step aside or I won’t hesitate to take you down” I threatened.
“Ice creation magic: Giant Crystal Ball” she casted then a giant ball of ice appeared.
I started hearing familiar voices coming from the ball. Then something flashed inside it. I saw Draxx defending the academy and the other half are the mages surrounded by demons.
“What you see is the current situation of the two cities that you are allied with.”
“Retreat now and you might save one of them,” the masked lady said.
With everything I got I burst back to Metro. From afar I cannot tell what is happening because the city looks the same when I leave. I arrived at the academy grounds and it was completely deserted, only the burned down building from the dragon’s previous attack is the only damage I see.
While heading to my office I called Samantha using telepathy to ask their current situation. We are fine, no signs of any threat that she said.
I barge in my office only to find Draxx sleeping on the sofa.
“Is there something wrong master?” Batis asked.
I shook my head as a sign of disapproval.
“Want me to heal you?”
“You awfully used a lot of mana” Batis worriedly asked.
“I’m good. I’ll just rest in my room for a while” I said in a pale tone as I walk to my bedroom.
I lay down for a bit and focus on my thoughts.
“That fiend really pisses me oh.”
“I could have ended her there if only I didn’t fall for her dirty trick. Screw her!” I ranted.
“What is she hiding in that city that she will do anything to keep anyone out.”
“I hope they are not collaborating with the demons.”
“Oh God please give me a sign. Any sign that will lead me in finding my friends and saving everyone.”
“I know that their faith has grown weaker because the demons manage to grab hold of them, but I know that they are good people. Please shine your light upon them” I prayed.
