“Paralyzing Spark” I cast electrocuted the attacker. I tried unmasking him or her, but another masked person popped out and attacked me using a fire elemental sword.
“I recognized that sword!”
“You’re the one that murdered my grandpa!” I furiously said.
I changed my gun into a fire elemental sword as well. As we duel the paralyzed masked person vanished
“f**k! You really know how to piss me off” I furiously said.
“Chris Sterling, we met at last” the masked person said.
“Yeah, but this will be the last time that you will see my face.”
“Cold Feet” I casted his lower body turned into ice and I immediately stabbed him in the chest.
“May you rot in hell” I said with a smug look on my face.
His body just turned into flames and moved into a new location before forming back to its original state.
“Not bad” I complemented with an amazed look in my face
Then in a blink of an eye I teleport as his back then stab him.
“Paralyzing Spark” I cast immediately paralyzes him.
“Let’s see who is under this mask,” I said, then I felt a strong surge of magic behind me.
I manage to evade the attack.
“Dark elemental!” I said shaking.
I quickly summoned my gun then fired back. I was completely distracted, and I did not notice that the paralyzed guy also vanished. Then there was a flash of light coming from outside then thunder came afterwards
“Chris Sterling the end is inevitable.”
“The judgement of heaven and earth is soon to come” a masked person said then she vanishes.
Draxx tried charging in but I stopped him and spoke.
“Now isn’t the time to face them.”
“Fire destruction magic: Armageddon” I casted but it needs time to cast.
“Unsummon Kirin and let’s get out of here” I ordered.
“But the demons aren’t wiped out yet” Draxx said, and he seems eager to fight.
“I already took care of it.”
“Last one home is paying for snacks” I said as I burst back to the academy.
“Kirin!” Draxx summons Kirin and rides him.
“No fair!” Draxx shouted as he chased after me.
I unsummoned my divine beasts right before the spell was cast so that the demons will not retreat.
“Woah!” Draxx reacted as he saw burning rocks fall from the sky. He stopped for a while because he is mesmerized by the scene
I went back to fetch him.
“You did that?” Draxx asked as he points out the falling rocks
“Yeah” I answered
Draxx then burst away then shouted.
“Last on there is going to pay for snacks!”
“Nimbus” I summoned Nimbus then we chased them down.
As expected, I could catch up to him.
“So, where are you treating me?” Draxx asked.
“What do you have in mind?” I asked back.
He shook his head as if he wanted me to follow him.
“Lead the way” I said as I offered him the way.
He brought me to the food stalls that Jane and Luis visited. From a far we saw the group of elites. Looks like they are investigating something.
“Zen, what are you up to?” I asked Draxx and I entered the scene.
“Looking for clues,” Ryzen said.
“Clues?” I was completely clueless.
“Don’t act dumb headmaster. I know that you know about what happened to Jane.”
“She’s one of the enemies, right?” Ryzen seriously said.
Draxx immediately covered Ryzen’s mouth then said.
“You shouldn’t say such words.”
“Do the other students know about this incident?” I seriously asked.
“No, only us,” Luis said.
“Good, I don’t want to hear about this matter again. Make sure the other students don’t know about this”.
“I don’t want to strike fear. It is best that they will not find out what happened. The morale of each individual is at stake here.”
“Please make this confidential,” I ordered.
“Sir yes sir” they said in chorus.
Draxx and I tried every stall because they all looked appetizing and we did not lie. Every bite was scrumptious. I wanted more but I am already out of money. We head back to the academy with full bellies
“Chris, Chris, it’s time to wake up” a familiar voice said.
“Huh?” I reacted as I rub my eyes.
“It’s already morning silly, we still have students to teach” the same familiar voice said.
My sight is a bit hazy, but I know I am talking to a girl. I blink several times until my sight finally clears up.
“Sora!” I raised my voice.
“This must be a dream or an illusion” a thought inside my head.
“Freeze” I said as I gave her a hug.
Draxx then barges in
“What are you doing!” He shouted.
I was startled.
“What did I do?” I asked.
“I know you casted an ice spell on her.”
“Dispel it now! That really is Sora” Draxx raised his voice at me.
“Oh! Sorry I thought it just an illusion or something” I apologize as I unfreeze her.
“An illusion you say!” Sora said as she folded her sleeves up.
“Glad you are safe” I said then I gave her a hug.
She pushed me away then said.
“Enough! I won’t fall for those tricks anymore”.
Draxx whistles as he slowly steps outside the room.
He gave me a thumbs up then his lips said.
“You can do it” then he closes the door.
I pouted at her then said.
“What did I do?”
“Quit acting dumb! I know you are just toying me.”
“Just stop it okay. You do not have to act nice for my sake. I would rather hear the harsh truth than your comforting lies” Sora ranted.
I was clueless of what she was talking about. So, I just said what pops out in my mind.
“But I am not lying!”
“I am telling the truth; I am glad to see you safe” I calmly said.
Sora’s face lightened up a bit.
“That’s it smiles for me” I cheerfully said as I placed my pointing finger on my cheek to make my smile wider.
Sora did smile.
“You really are beautiful” I unconsciously said.
Sora felt so embarrassed that he couldn't even look at me.
I placed my hand on top of hers. She gave me this attentive look. I looked her straight in the eye then said.
“If you don’t mind me asking” she slowly moves her face closer.
“Where is your sister? Is she alright” I said in a concerned manner?
She moved her face away then said.
“Her? She’s dead” Sora said in a pissed manner.
Then someone entered the room
“Sorry to barge in but I just want you to know that I am alive and kicking” Lora cheerfully said.
“Draxx!”
“Why did you let her in!” Sora shouted.
“Draxx? He’s chilling outside” Lora said as she points at the frozen solid Draxx
“Why did you come here sis?” Sora asked in a pissed manner.
Her veins are twitching, and her fist is clenched.
“Why lil sis? Am I not allowed to see him?” Lora asked in a teasing manner.
“Go on now,” Lora said as she moved her finger. It seems she wants Sora to get out.
“Make me!” Sora said as if she was picking up a fight.
“Why don't we settle this outside?” Lora asked with a smug look in her face.
“Watch me kick her ass” Sora boastfully said.
“Can’t we settle this in a civilized manner?” I asked.
“No!” They shouted.
Lora exited the room first. Sora followed her but I held her wrist then said.
“Are you really doing this?”
“Why afraid that your girlfriend is going to be hurt?” Sora said as she pulled her arm away.
“Well, she’s not actually my girlfriend. I haven’t asked her yet” I said but she already left.
I went outside then unfreeze Draxx
“What happened? A second ago I was blocking Lora” Draxx said
“Woah? Are they really going to fight?” Draxx asked.
“Shss” I reacted as I cast a barrier.
“Looks like there is no holding back now” Lora said then water trapped her.
The water prison then turns into ice.
“Looks like Lora has the elemental advantage” “What do you think?” Draxx said.
“Don’t know?” I said as I raised my shoulder.
“Oh my! How rude, I wasn’t done talking”?
“Ice summoning magic: Snowman” Lora casted
Five snowmen rise.
Sora just laughed then one blinked in front of her and gave her a punch. She was sent flying.
“Not bad!” Sora said as she wiped the blood in her lips.
I stood up but she shouted.
“Don’t worry Chris I can handle myself.”
The same snowman teleported once more and gave her another punch, but she blocked it. The punch was still powerful enough to throw her off balance. Then a snowball was fired directly at her striking her down
“Not yet!” Sora said as she stood up.
The same snowman teleported in front of her then punched her once more but this time she managed to keep her balance, but another snowman came from above pinning her down. The two snowmen gang up on her.
