“Sarah, our stuff got wet earlier. Can you make it dry?” a student asked?
“Go announce it to everyone so I can do it in one go” Sarah instructed.
“I wonder how the others are doing,” Sarah seems worried.
At the Metro’s northern gate Luis and their healer finally arrived. He draws out his sword and bursts towards the hoard of demons. With his lightning enhance blade he easily clears them off
“Forward!” Luis ordered.
At the southern gate Maximus and the knight arrived but everything seemed fine. The squads’ station there can defend the wall. With lightning-fast speed both burst to the frontline and take the lead
At the eastern gate Ryzen finally arrived. All seems fine until the next hoard of demons arrive.
“Lightning destruction magic: Emperor Lightning Strike” Ryzen casted then a seal was formed in the clouds. Several seconds later lightning continuously strikes within the seal.
“Get ready. My spell isn’t capable of wiping them out” Ryzen informed them.
Everyone waited patiently for Ryzen’s spell to subside. The marksmen shoot down the demons that manage to escape the seal.
Ryzen then enhances everyone with lightning magic. As soon as the spell subsided Ryzen immediately took off.
“Charge!” He shouted.
Then a beam of dark light struck him making him plummet to the ground. His eyesight went blank and his whole body was numb.
Several minutes later his sight slowly clears, and he starts to feel excruciating pain all over his body. He was filled with scratches and some of his bones were crushed, immobilizing him.
“No! No! No!” Ryzen repeatedly shouted each one getting louder.
Then a man wearing a fox approached him and spoke
“Looks like your journey ends here” then he draws his bow and targets Ryzen’s forehead.
“Wait!”
“I’d do everything if you could just spare my life.”
“Please I beg of you!” Ryzen cried for mercy.
The hunter lowered his bow and spoke.
“Even if I didn’t kill you now, you will still die due to blood loss.”
“Besides, I am doing you a favor. I am ending your suffering.”
“Don’t you want that?”
“Of course, I don’t want that.”
“How about you help me, and I help you.”
“You’re with the demons correct? How about you cast something on me that will revert me back to my previous state and I will know everything I know” Ryzen bargains then he coughs blood?
“Sorry mate but I can’t trust the like of you” the hunter said then he shoots Ryzen’s head with a dark arrow.
Then a dark mist came out of the arrow that entered Ryzen’s corpse. Ryzen’s body started to levitate then his bones started cracking and his flesh merged back together. Once he is completely packed up, he descends back to the ground.
With a deep breath he awakens. He repeatedly touched his body to check if he was alive. He looked around and saw the hunter sitting on a rock.
“Well come back Lucifer” the hunter said.
“Lucifer? Sure, if that is what you wanted to call me.”
“I am forever at your disposal. Use me in whatever way you want” Ryzen said.
Then he started to raise and his head started to ache. He dropped on the look with an awful look in his face
Sirens blaring, and civilians were panicking.
“Everyone calms down. We can handle this” Samantha announced.
“Sam the demons are closing in!” a mage informed me.
“Set up the barriers!”
“Destruction mages ready!” Samantha announced.
Different elemental barriers started to rise, and the destruction magic users started harnessing mana.
“Everyone to the frontlines,” Samantha said to the remaining mages.
“Let’s go,” Solomon excitedly said.
“Flash” Solomon casted
Everyone was enhanced with lightning magic then they took off.
The demons finally arrived.
On Samantha’s command the destruction mages users open fire
“Charge!” Samantha shouted.
Then a small opening opened for the close combat mages
Samantha summoned her gear as she charged to the horde of demons.
“Freezing Field” Samantha casted then the ground transformed into ice.
The mages behind her all soar high using the buff magic Solomon casted earlier.
As soon as the ground was completely solid the mages started to lower themselves down until the buff magic wears out.
“Remember to save your mana!”
“We don’t know when the demons will stop attacking. It is best if we use less mana as possible.”
“Remember we are the only line of defense. If the demons get close to that barrier we are pretty much done” Samantha shouted
“Now go kill those demons!” Samantha shouted as she raised her sword.
“Frost Nova” Samantha casted then the frozen ground shattered forming numerous pointed ice shards.
She manipulated it all to provide cover for the charging mages.
“Lightning Bolts” Solomon casted as he takes the lead.
He wields a lightning bolt in both hands.
“See guys there!” Solomon said then he shoots up the sky and started attacking every demon he came across with
“Looks like someone is too reckless” Samantha said as she sways her head.
“Ice creation magic: Glacial Golem” Samantha cast a huge ice golem rose beneath her.
“Okay everyone! Use your mana effectively”.
“Everyone is counting on us!” Dean said.
“We can lay low a bit because Samantha and the other finally drove off the demons but stay vigilant never let you guard down.”
“Save your mana by not spending it to constantly repair the barrier. Just repair it before the barrier vanishes.”
“We don’t know when the demons will stop attacking so it would be wise if we strategize,” Dean said.
“Dean how about we concentrate our mana to the part where the demons are attacking instead of fortifying the whole thing.”
“By doing so we can save more mana and defend with ease” a mage said.
“I like the way you think,” Dean said as he continuously pointed at the mage
“How about you?”
“What brilliant plans have you people come up with? Dean asked the destruction magic users.
“Easy, we will just fire alphabetical.”
“Even a high-class demon can’t withstand two to three consecutive attacks” one of the mages said.
“Well good luck with that” Dean said then he headed back to his station.
“Dean, something is approaching.”
“And it’s behind us” the sensory mage said.
“Okay I’ll handle it.”
“You take charge” Dean said as he randomly pointed at someone.
“Dean if demons attack in the other direction I want you to handle it.”
“Solomon will be busy defending the frontlines while I’ll be saving up my mana for the final clash.”
“I just want you to know that whatever happens it’s fine as long as we did our best, we won’t regret a thing” Samantha said two days before the invasion.
“Looks like Samantha’s intuition was right. Women are so amazing” Dean said as he recalls what Samantha said.
“Spoken like a true king or queen rather.”
“I am thankful that I became your brother” Dean said then the light concentrated in his right hand then transformed into a staff.
“Here we go,” Dean said.
“Looks like Dean’s on the move” Samantha said as she saw the ray of light.
“Now to have some fun” Samantha said then the ice golem started running.
“Light destruction magic: Ray of Thousand Suns” Dean casted then a light seal shined from the heavens then ray of light started to descend just in time the demons arrived.
“Looks like my job here is practically done.”
“I’ll just wait if anything pops out. Surely no demon can pass through that” Dean said.
Several minutes later Dean saw someone walking towards the city. Someone who is wearing a cloak that manages to refract the light.
“What in the world?” Dean said as he placed his hands over his eyes to get a better view.
Then five ice demons came out of her cloak. They stretched their wings then four flies towards the city and the other one remained with the ice magic user.
The four demons ram to the elemental barriers face first.
Dean did not expect that, so it made him laugh.
The demons started scratching it but as what the other mage suggested fortifying only the part where the demons are attacking to conserve mana.
The other mages felt the disruption, so they helped in sustaining the barrier.
“Ray of Cleansing Light” Dean casted then he fires a ray of light to one of the ice demons.
The demon was blasted away but it came back as soon as it recovered.
Then ice spike rose from the ground and it is heading to the city
“Radiant Javelins” Dean casted but his spell was refracted.
The ice spikes manage to breach the barrier, but it immediately recovers.
“Darn it!” Dean seems pissed.
“Light destruction magic: Radiant Rampage” Dean cast a ball of light similarly looking like a sun came out of his staff.
As it passes thru the earth started to scorch
