Jacqueline’s POV Jacqueline? Jacqueline?!! I heard my grandma calling out my name, but I chose to ignore it cause I was tired but I know if I don't get up I'd be extremely late to school. I'm on my normal monthly flow, I look so bloated and I hate it so much, so I quickly prepped myself up for school and finally chose my favorite black sweatpants, don't judge me it's so free and comfortable, I wore my black sports bra with a grey colored top that was very big, I gave it a bit fitting by tying it at the back but the neck part was a bit still loose so I just dropped one part so it could fall on my shoulders, applied some lip balm cause my lips were chapped pretty bad and I hate make up, just kidding if I know how to apply make up I'd be doing it most of the time to school, then I packed my hair into a messy bun, checked myself out in the mirror then grabbed my phone, my bag then I went downstairs to my grandma. I went down to meet a mouth-watering breakfast of which I finished in less than five minutes, When I was done I did not see my grandma anywhere so I checked her room and she was in the bathroom "Grandma I'm off to school and I'll go to work after!!!" I shouted so she could hear me because the shower was on. I felt my phone vibrate in my hand and I checked to see what it was about, I just got a text from Drey telling me that he's outside, I was so glad because I wasn't ready to walk to school today. I stepped out and saw him leaning on his car, with a huge smile plastered on his face just like mine because we were always happy to see each other. Drey is tall and slim, he has always been attractive, he also had cornrow braids done that look so good on him, then I noticed I was staring too hard, so I did not want to keep standing, wasting time by checking him out. Then I got into the car so we could get to school early. Drey never gives a compliment without saying something mean or ends up ruining it by saying something stupid but that's how our friendship is, it's annoyingly sweet but I like it like that. My best friend, Tracy stays on campus to have her "freedom" according to her because she feels restrained from a lot of things at home. "Thanks for the ride Drey," I said Then I hurriedly got out of the car and jolted to class. Mrs Cap who teaches us history looked so good today I won't lie. I hated history with everything in me but she made it a bit better with the constant storytelling. At one point when I got tired cause it was unfortunately a two hours class, I checked my messages on my phone to see if my boyfriend has responded to my text, yes yes i know I have a boyfriend, I love him very much but people I know in school constantly tell me I'm just in a relationship with myself and I know they are just jealous because my relationship has lasted for 3 years now and a good number of them can't even be loyal in their relationship, I never let any of their side talks get to me but there are times I sit and think because the energy I give out in my relationship isn't always reciprocated. My boyfriend, Andrew is very sweet and caring, he isn't that tall but his height is perfect at least he's taller than I am, Literally everyone that I talk to is taller than me. "Hey good morning, I know I told you I'd be in school this morning but things came up" I just responded with an "ok" cause even if I ask what's going on he is always like it's nothing and I don't want to ruin my day today because of him, I have two more classes to attend today before I go to work. After my main history class, I had other classes talking about international diplomacy. My scheduled classes and my best friend's timetable are not always alike because she's taking different courses in her major in accounting, while my major is in history and international relations. So I waited for her to be done so we could meet up before I went to work. "You need a ride to work?", I looked up from my phone and saw Drey standing close, at this point he leaned in trying to see what I was so focused on on my phone, my heart pace increased but i don't know why, then he asked me the question again cause I did not respond to him the first time, "I would love it but I have to meet up with Tracy so we could spend some time together", I said "Oh okay, whenever you're ready just let me know I'm still around, I have something to do" he responded I slowly nodded in response because I was taking in the smell of his cologne, it scented so good, I could not keep my mouth shut, I had to ask what the name of cologne was then he mentioned a Christian Dior Sauvage Perfume, Then he teased me by pulling me into a tight hug with his hands wrapped slightly above my waist, then let go and said "Now you smell like me" with a huge grin on his face and left. I continued playing a word cross game on my phone just to while away time then Tracy came and was shouting my name like she was being chased and alerting me for help or let me just say she was shouting like who was insane and in need of a mental check up. She got to where I was standing leaning on the wall then pulled me into a hug, I love her outfit so much, and the fact that she tinted her hair from black to ginger brown which suits her light-skinned complexion. " You look so good, hope you won't mind me helping out with this laundry", it's like an inside joke cause the time Tracy visited me and helped out with my laundry she took my hoodie to her hostel and told me after. I wasn't mad or upset but I found it funny cause I do that to my siblings back home and Tracy and I are sisters just from different mothers. Then we both left for a coffee shop on campus premises just to have coffee together. We arrived at the cafe and had our orders taken. Thankfully, it wasn't just limited to coffee anymore. According to the seniors, it used to be solely a coffee shop, but they eventually diversified—and I'm glad they did. As soon as we got there, I changed my mind and ordered juice with a hamburger. Tracy got the same. Then we sat and waited for our food. "Jacqueline i saw you with Drey today in the hall you guys were close" then she gave me this her weird smirk and I laughed hard cause she of all people should know that Drey and i have been like that since even when were in high school together, cause Tracy, Drey, Andrew and I attended the same high school. We just had small talks catching up on the things we've both missed cause our schedules are not as free as it was in High school, Now we have different scheduled classes, we both work at different places, but in the end, we still make time for each other. I had already texted my boyfriend that I'd soon leave school to work but no response yet, Then I texted Drey next to see if he was still in school and luckily he was so I hugged my best friend goodbye and met up with Drey at where his car was parked. Then we drove off.
