Chapter 4

Drey’s POV

After I got the text from Jacqueline, I looked for Daniella, so I went to her room to check if she's there, this girl is so lazy she literally doesn't do any fun activity she's just in bed all day, if she's not in her room she's in the kitchen for food.

"Daniella!!"

"I'm in the bathroom just hold on" she responded.

"Daniella, would you like to go to a party?"

"Hold on I can't hear you properly, just give me a minute"

So I left her room for the living room, turned on the TV to watch "How I Met Your Mother", I love this series, I can't get tired of it.

"Drey you came looking for me, any problem" Daniella said walking into the living room.

"Yeah not really, I just wanted to know if you'd like to go to a party"

"Nahh I'd pass not today, maybe some other time, and I also don't want to see my brother drunk and smooching on any girl's face," she said laughing, and I didn't care much.

I dozed off on the couch, but Daniella decided to wake me up just because she wanted to train cause she was bored.

"Daniella you really need friends" i said with my hands covering my face out of frustration cause that's a stupid reason to actually wake me up.

"Why didn't you ask Bob to help you out?" I asked her,

"Well....he's asleep and I don't want to disturb him"

This time I sat up looking at her in disbelief.

But I'm up already, so I had no choice too and it's been a while.

We got to the back of the house where everything was set up. Luckily my dad made it large and soundproof so no neighbor can hear the sound of any gunshots. The purpose was to make our aiming better and not always miss a shot.

My sister chose to use a shotgun today, and her aiming is really bad and the funny part is we've both been handling a gun since we were little the only difference now is we don't use ear and eye protection anymore.

After several rounds of prepping her on her stance, grip, and breathing, she seemed a bit better but she couldn't still hit the bullseye. So we went inside to eat cause I was really hungry. I cooked fried rice and I was thankful that Bob stocked up the house with some groceries. Yeah I love to cook cause of my mum she loves intercontinental dishes and she makes me help her out in the kitchen same with my sister.

After eating Daniella cleared the dishes and I went to my room to rest before the party.

I slept off again and by the time I woke up it was already 6:30 and yeah I had a relaxing day today cause I did not go to school, I wonder if Jacqueline went to school.

I had my bath, got dressed and sprayed the perfume that Jacqueline liked and complimented, but before I stepped out I got a call from an unknown number I answered but no one spoke or said anything and I did same, so I hung up after a while anyway but I was just wandering who it could be cause I caught off every communication i had with my friends, they all think I'm dead. Anyway, I did not think much of it and by the time I was all done it was almost time so I texted Jacqueline to let her know I'm on my way.

I grabbed my keys and then left.

When I got there I was a bit nervous, i don't know why, so I just rung the bell and waited for her to open up but instead of Jacqueline I saw Tracy and then I understood why she hasn't backed out yet from going to the party.

"Hi Drey, surprised to see me? Don't just stand out there come in"

As soon as I got to the living room I saw Jacqueline and she looked so beautiful, even the outfit she wore complimented her thick ass, the brown fit she wore I think it's called a jumpsuit but it's with shorts it looks so good on her skin. She walked up to me to hug me and I was still stunned by how beautiful she looked even without any makeup on.

I couldn't hold it in anymore "Jacqueline you look so f*****g beautiful"

She looked up while still in my arms and gave me that beautiful smile, gosh I love her smile so much.

Then Tracy fakes a cough saying something about us getting a room, that was when i put myself together and reminded myself she was dating someone else.

Then we went out in the car and I drove off to the party.

When we got to the party at Camilla's family house, I noticed Jacqueline was just taking in the beauty of the environment, i wasn't surprised cause Camilla's father is an artist while her mum is famous for her interior designs.

It seems like the party started a bit early cause I could see some were drunk already. Before we got in to where Camilla was welcoming her guests , Jacqueline requested we should meet up by the car at 1am and I just nodded in response.

When we got in Tracy left us immediately, then Jacqueline too, so I went to help myself out with a drink. I never planned to drink much cause I'm driving.

"Hi sugar", a girl with a very flirtatious look tapped me trying to get my attention.

I paused my drink and asked if she wanted some, but unfortunately I couldn't find any more disposable cup, so I looked for where the kitchen was and I saw Jacqueline and Andrew having a heated conversation, Andrew was high as f**k and Jacqueline was all teary but I just stood there, not because I wanted to know what was going on in her relationship but because Andrew was high and I don't want a situation whereby he hits her, so I watched from a distance. Then and there Jacqueline ended things with Andrew, and a part of me was happy it happened, then I left the entrance of the kitchen when I noticed she was about leaving, as soon as she left I went in to get what I was looking for disregarding what just happened in the kitchen, looked for the disposable cup then left after seeing it.

By the time I got back to the party I saw people gathering at one spot, even with the loud music I heard people hailing "Go! Go! Go! Go!" Repeatedly, until I saw Jacqueline at the center chugging alcohol down her throat.

I let her have her fun, but still kept an eye on her. I wasn't comfortable because I knew she was drinking out of hurt.

The girl who walked up to me earlier on came back but I cared less about her now, my eyes was just fixed on Jacqueline the whole time.

I noticed she was staggering and walking towards the door so I followed her, then I saw her leaning forward to throw up and she almost fell so I helped her regain her balance, luckily i was with a bottle of water so I gave it to her to drink when she was done, but she drank little and washed her face, then I took her out to the garden so we could stay there till it was time to go home.

I looked at Jacqueline and she was still as beautiful as ever.

"Jacqueline"

"Yes Drey" she responded but sounded very tired so I just told her whenever she's much better we'd talk, then she just continued to lay on the grass sleeping off immediately.

It was already 2 am and Tracy hadn't come out yet, so I carried Jacqueline to the car in a bridal style because she was still fast asleep, then I went in to get Tracy.

The music was still as loud as f**k.

In search of Tracy at the party, Andrew walked up to me

"So you're the reason Jacqueline had the confidence to break up with me"

Honestly, I was surprised and confused at the same time because I never in any way came between them.

"I did not tell you to cheat on her dude" i said trying to walk past him, this angered him so he surrounded me with his friends and Andrew threw the first punch, i was about retaliating but his gang friends discreetly showed me they were armed so I paused mid air and decided to walk away but these guys had the intentions of beating the crap out of me and i decided not to retaliate thinking the security Camilla had would come to resolve the issue, but no one came so I got tired and this time I punched back, but then one of Andrew's friends brought out his gun all I heard next was a loud gun shot and felt so much unexplainable pain in the lower part of my stomach before I blacked out.

Tracy’s POV

This party was so good until I heard a loud noise that sounded like a gunshot with people screaming after, I left the guy I was with then quickly put on my clothes and ran out to see if Jaqueline is safe and I met a very terrible scene, Drey was on the floor in a pool of blood. The guy I met at the party followed me and saw I was panicking he quickly helped me with Drey's body and I directed him to where the car was. I don't know why I trusted this stranger but I did. I was worried searching everywhere for my best friend, I was crying so hard cause I couldn't find her anymore. The stranger I met came back to get me saying there was someone else in the car, so we both ran back to the car and I saw Jacqueline fast asleep then I took the keys out of Drey's pocket, at this point we could hear the police sirens and we had to get out of there as soon as possible cause I don't want to have anything to do with the police not yet.

I drank a lot of alcohol at the party and I wasn't in a proper state of mind to drive, so I gave the keys to the stranger that I met and pleaded with him to take us to the closest hospital around, i was surprised that Jacqueline was still fast asleep regardless of the chaotic event that was occurring.

I sat at the back with Drey, ripped off some part of his shirt, and tried to use it to apply pressure on the wound so the bleeding would reduce.

We finally arrived at the hospital and Drey was helped out into the hospital by the kind stranger, thank goodness he was rushed in and attended to immediately.

Luckily Jacqueline decided to wake up but was utterly confused on seeing herself at the hospital then I just briefed her on what had happened so we went in to wait for Drey until he was conscious and stable.

"Thank you so much for staying and helping out, I'm really glad you did cause I would not have been able to do it on my own," I said to the stranger that I feel I can call a friend now

"I didn't get to know your name earlier on"

"I'm Luke, and it's nothing. I'm glad I could help and I think I should get going, We'd talk some other time"

We exchange numbers then he left. At this time the hospital has already informed the police,so Jacqueline and I just waited and hoped for Drey to be better.

The police arrived a bit early cause Drey was sleeping but they were able to operate on him to remove the bullet.

They met with Jacqueline and me to ask us what happened at the party but we both had no idea what happened, Jacqueline was asleep and I wasn't anywhere close to where the dance floor was cause I was with Luke. Since they couldn't get tabs on what happened and Camilla's family house had no cctv inside so they had no choice but to come back later when Drey wakes up.
