Revisiting The Past!

~Thierry~ I stood before my King and Queen and bowed. I had to lay it all out there. They knew I’d come. I always do. Our bond made sure I’d find her no matter what. Forged by a thousand lives, our connection would make sure we’d find each other, but the past liked to haunt me even when I closed my eyes. “Thierry please, theirs no need for that.” Roman say’s, his Alpha aura seeped out of him, but it didn’t work on me, he was just deeply offended by my formal gesture. “Sir,” The Alpha sighs and my guards nod at the Alpha couple. “Please, take a seat,” Luna Thea gestured to the formal table. I don’t hesitate, I pull out a chair and sit, followed by Dante and Kade then Ezra who sits with a sigh of her own. The Luna smiles at her. “It’s so good to see you Ezra and mated to Jace.” I felt Ezra stiffen, it’s been years since she’s been here and the fact that her birth parents couldn’t handle her made her resent the Alpha couple that only wished the very best for her. But seeing Thea did her good. I could feel her kindness and she held no resentment towards Ezra’s attitude. “Uh, yes. Odd isn’t it.” She says shyly. “Ah ah,” Thea chided her. “Theirs nothing peculiar about Fated Mates, you of all people should remember that Ezra. The Goddess doesn’t make mistakes. Unless,” she stops and her left eyebrow rises in question. “Jace isn’t what you expected.” and the way she says it to rouse Ezra was funny. “No,” she jumps up from her seat. The Luna’s eyes glowed to pools of gold triumphantly. “I mean, he’s perfect. He’s……” but Ezra couldn’t finish that thought. “Special?” Thea says with a nod and then makes her way to stand next to Ezra, “Yes all of the Goddesses children are special and it seems you four have met your match, made by the Goddesses themselves. You wouldn’t be here if you weren’t.” Roman looked at Thea in utter awe as well as amusement as he let his wife and mate lead the conversation. He is the epitome of what a leader looks like. He is so sure of himself and his mate that he doesn’t mind letting her lead, but then again as Mates no matter our ranks, positions or faction, we’re equals, but he showed that it didn’t bother him the slightest bit standing behind her while she lead with her love and compassion. Reincarnation is a funny thing. They would be worthy rulers, but I suppose that destiny had other plans and they are the best Alpha couple of their time. I wanted that more than anything. I craved to stand behind my Queen as she lead our people the way she saw fit, but their was so much I had yet to understand about my beautiful Mate. I could see the questions in her eyes, she hid so much of herself. I could tell in the way she carried herself, but no more, I had to know her, but first I needed a plan on how we were going to stop Amara. She wasn’t going to take my mate from me. I don’t know what I had to do, but I was going to stop her even if I lost my life in the process, but Hahnnah was going to live even if she had to live without me. “Thierry? What are you thinking?” Roman asked. I sighed. “About Hahnnah, I mean Jazabell, sorry that will always be her first name, the one given to her in her very first life and the one I fell in love with.” I’m almost embarrassed at my confession. “Tell them T.” Dante encourages. “Tell us what?” Thea says and I don’t miss the eagerness in soft green eyes. “Does she have a wolf?” I ask. They’re her parents and they would know, they could scent their daughter if she was human or wolf. “Yes, but her connection to her wolf is strained at best. It’s why she’s refrained from shifting, not that it stops her.” Roman adds. I bit the inside of my cheek. I’m not understanding what he means. When clearly a wolf and human counterpart work together as one complete entity. "What do you mean? I'm not understanding. Do you think her wolf is going feral?" I asked. Roman and Thea sigh and look at one another. "Jazabell's wolf doesn't communicate with her. We don't even know her name to be honest." I was astounded that they didn't know her wolf's name. "You mean nobody knows the name of her wolf?" honestly I was lost for words. This wasn't normal. Werewolves usually manifested to its human as early as age fourteen and then shifted for the first time on the eve of their sixteenth birthday. This didn't make any sense. I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose. This just wasn't making sense, I was missing something, a context clue of a sort. "Thierry, let us help you, help her." I heard the crack in her voice. She wanted to help me as much as I wanted to end this. She's lost her daughter a million times. I owed her that much, I nod at her. "I just don't know what to do." I say honestly. For once I feel helpless. If I wanted a shot of true happiness then I needed to figure it out. Goddess send me a sign, I hoped one day she'd hear my pleas. "Let your heart guide you Thierry." This woman was incredible. "If there's anything that doesn't connect with the past. Thierry, it could give us a clue." she said, but what could I tell her? Except for the one time I felt the pull in our connection. Our bond went deeper than even I or anyone could comprehend because the bond snapped so many times. I was so lost in my thoughts that I must have spoken out loud. "She called for me," The Alpha and Luna looked at me like I was crazy and perhaps I was. Losing your mate so many times breaks you to the point of no return. I should have died. I've long to die with her, but she would be reborn and maybe the Goddess would gift her a mate worthy of her. Not one that damned her to this hell. "Called you how?" Roman asked, his thick eyebrows tightly knit together. "Her wolf," I shook my head. "To be honest I don't even understand. The bond hadn't been established, but I could feel her wolf's soul calling to mine and I'm pretty sure Jazabell was aware, I could feel her soul recognize me, its hard to explain." "Her wolf." Dante whispers. We all turn to him because through out this meeting its like he, Kade and Ezra disappeared. "Care to share with the class?" Ezra snickered. "Permission to speak Sir?" he says looking at me, but I give him an irritated eye roll. I hate when he talks to me so formal, he's my brother. "Permission granted, lose the formality Dante, your mated to my Mate's best friend. We're practically related now." I say with a chuckle and everyone joins in. Dante shrugs. "That's the thing, that you weren't paying attention to. The answers lie with her wolf. Her wolf knows something, but why she's keeping it from her human is out of my jurisdiction. I don't know much about wolves, but bet her wolf knows how we can beat that b***h once and for all."
