Chapter 14

Pandora's POV I could see that he was very tall and had blonde hair. His back was muscular. It looked like he had horns, but I couldn't quite tell. "I want to make a deal with you." I heard Alex say. "A deal hmm?" "Yes." "What do you want and what will you give me?" "I want riches." "That all?" "Yes." Alex's POV He narrowed his eyes at me like he was suspicious of me. "What are you willing to give me, wolf?" "I heard that you like girls with different eyes." "Where did you hear such?" "I may be of alpha blood, but I am a rogue. I hear a lot of things." "Hmm." He put his finger on his chin and looked at me with his poison green eyes. "Well, you are right. Do you have one that I don't have?" "I might. Seeing as how I don't know which ones you have." I pulled Lillian out from behind me. "This child has one ice blue eye and one light gree eye." He looked down at her. "You are a bit young for me, but I do not have your eyes. Child, what is your name?" Pandora's POV I watched closely for the signal. It seemed that this was taking longer than what we practiced. Wolfie was tense under me. I saw Alex pull Lilly out from behind him. This is part one of the signal. I lightly pressed my heels to Wolfie's sides. He moved forward making no sounds, but still kept to the shadows. "You are a bit young for me, but I do not have your eyes. Child, what is your name?" I heard him ask. "Lillian, Sir." She said. "How old are you?" "I'm going to be three next month, Sir." "You are smart for a two year old. Lillian, do you know what this man is doing with you?" "No, Sir." "He is selling you to me for riches. Do you hate this man?" "I don't know this man, Sir. I cannot judge him for his actions tonight. I don't know what he has been through." "A kind heart and beautiful eyes. A wonderful deal this will be." I was about five feet away from the demon king with my scythe raised. He held his hand out to take Lilly and I swung my scythe, slicing his head clean off. The foul smell with the grey blood spraying all over. "Well aren't I glad I made my subject go in my place." I spun to see a gorgeous man with poison green eyes a slicked back blonde hair. He had two black horns growing from his head, slicking back like his hair. My heart stopped. He tilted his head slightly to look at Lilly. I take it there was going to be no deal?" "Never." I hissed. He smiled, and my heart skipped a beat. He was very good looking. I would honestly f**k him right here and now if it weren't for the fact that he is my enemy. "Well, I might as well get this battle over with. Allow me to call my steed, warrior?" He asked? What the f**k? Since when do demons ask for things? "Fine. The battle is between you and me. No calling for anyone." I turned my head slightly, but never looking away from him. "Get out of here." Alex shifted and took Lilly away leaving me and the demon king in the clearing. "I have a way of fighting. Allow me to explain?" "Fine." I saw a huge black horse come out of the shadows. "We start fifteen feet away with lances. Once one is knocked down from their steed, the fighters leave their steeds to fight while the fighters have their fight on foot." "Could you say fight anymore in that explanation?" I asked, sarcasm dripping from my words. "I could, but here's the thing." I sat on his horse. "I find you attractive, so I don't want to kill you. Let's make a deal." "Set your offer on the table." "If I win, you come to hell with me and be my bride." He smiled again. "If I win, I kill you and move on with my life like I was supposed to in the first place." "Is that a deal?" Wolfie growled in protest and I put my hand on his head. "No cheap tricks or lies. He can sense that kind of shit." He snapped his fingers and an older woman appeared. She was beautiful. Her long blode hair and brown eyes all the way down to her nice figure, screamed royalty. "This is the only thing that I care for. She is my mother. If I play tricks or fight dirty, she will be in a great deal of pain. Now, I expect you to do the same. I know that girl inside of you is what you want to protect the most. Since your oldest sister is gone, she is what you have left." I narrowed my eyes at him. "She is not to wake until I am gone." "She won't than." I slid off his steed and offered me his hand. I took it and he helped me down. "Mother, will you please retrieve the girl inside?" He mother stepped forward and gently pulled Lanna out of me. She remained asleep like he said she would. He helped me back onto Wolfie and he returned to his horse. "Weapon, hear my call. I need a lance." My scythe took the shape of a lance. I watched as he held up his lance. He stood fifteen feet away from me. "Ready!" His mother yelled. "Charge!" I kicked Wolfie's sides hard and he ran straight for the horse. I held my lance out. His lance just missed my shoulder, but mine landed a solid blow to his shoulder, knocking him off his horse. "Well done. May I help you off your steed?" He held out his hand to me. Wolfie growled and I looked over at his mother. She showed no signs of pain. "I play no tricks. This is a fair fight." He turned to his mother. "Are you in any pain?" "No. I am in no pain. He tells the truth." I turned back to him and took his hand. He helped me down then took three steps back. "Shadow, my steed. You must fight the wolf. A fair fight" I turned and faced Wolfie. "Wolfram, my steed. You are to fight the horse. Dirty tricks are not tolerated. Lanna is on the line here." I turned back to the demon. "You knocked my off my steed, you choose the weapon we will use on foot." "Weapon, hear my call. I need a sword." My lance formed into a sword. I held in in front of my face and watched the demon king. He snapped his fingers and a sword appeared in his hand. I held my sword to the side and bowed to him, he did the same. "Ready!" His mother yelled again. "Fight!" A few quick steps and his sword clashed against mine. We were both quick on our feet. His eyes glowed with passion. I couldn't tell if it was for the fight or for me. I felt my eyes start to glow red. His sword came down on mine with a clang of metal on metal. He was strong, but I was not about to give in anytime soon. I planted my bare feet into the grass and pushed on his sword with my hand. There was a scream of pain, the demon king and I stepped away and looked over to were the scream came from. It was his mother. I looked at him, but he looked over at his horse. His horse had attempted to fight dirty or play a trick. "Shadow! You have lost! This is a fair fight! To hell with you!" A hole opened up on the ground and swallowed the horse up. It sounded like it was screaming in panic and fright. I ran to Wolfie. "Wolfie!" He was laying on the ground breathing heavy with a gash on his side. I could smell the poison in it. "He's been poisoned!" I yelled. I felt the tears burn my eyes. With Wolfie down and dying, I wouldn't be able to fight. "Help him!" I cried. "You must continue the fight." His mother said. I could see in her eyes that she was upset that Shadow had done this. I shook my head. "You win demon. I forfeit." I handed him my sword and he snapped it. I felt my bond with Ryu vanish, but it didn't hurt. It didn't hurt Wolfie either, he was only in pain from the poison. "Damian. My name is Damian." He said as he bent down and sucked the poison out of Wolfie's wound. Wolfie whimpered at first, but soon was just sleeping. "What is your name?" "Pandora." I sniffled and rubbed my hand through Wolfie's fur. I was not meant to feel love or anything of the sort, yet when I saw Wolfie hurt, I was heartbroken. I laid down my sword to save him. I looked up at Damian. "Bring me Lanna please. I have lost and now I am your bride. I must wake Lanna and leave before she fully wakes." He got to his feet and collected Lanna carefully from the grass. I stood up to take Lanna from his arms, but he placed her on the grass at my feet. I sat on my knees next to her. "Sister, wake and find Alex and Lillian. They will take care of you." I kissed her forehead. Her eyes began to move around. I had to roll her over for her wings to come out of her back. Damian picked Wolfie up. "Come, we must go. She will wake quickly." I nodded and gently put my hand on Wolfie's snout. I took one last look at Lanna. Her white wings were huge. A black hole opened in front of us and we stepped into the darkness.
