CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR

“Maria, is Trevor up yet?” Sebastian asked. “Yes, he is in the bedroom,” she replied. She watched as he went were to Trevor. Wondering what Natasha told him that made him so tense. She went to the table, took a cup, and made herself a cup of coffee. The door blew inwards. Trevor quickly turned, Sebastian entered. “Didn’t your parents teach you how to knock?” “Unfortunately no. And I have important matters to discuss rather than what my parents thought me and what they didn’t,” he went and sat on the bed. “What?” He asked, buttoning up his shirt. “It’s Natasha.” “What about her?” “She said they have been two men following are around. Presumably those werewolf bastards I fought the other night.” “So what are you planning?” “I have to go back, man. I have to protect my child.” “Er..,” he began taking a pair of shorts from a closet. Which looked like they belonged to someone else, actually every clothing in the closet. “I think you should go. Look at me if I took extra they would have been a junior running around the house.” He sighed then, “I will take my leave then. See you, man.” He got up, and the two met in violent bro-hug with great back parting. Sebastian whirled and left the room, closing the door behind him softly. ********* “That was one hell of a night we had last night,” Charles said, going to sit where Siobhan and Amell were. “Yeah, sure,” Amell replied. “And how do you feel now after eating those hell apples?” Siobhan asked, looking at Charles, who was now sitting close to Amell. “Well, a little better I can say.” “And how come you can breathe fire, anyway. Dragons don’t do that as far as my knowledge goes?” Amell asked. “As you said it, as far as your knowledge goes, but I’m able to do that because I belong to the loyal family. Why do you think I’m the alpha?” “is the alpha not chosen after defeating the previous alpha?” Siobhan asked. “No. That happens only in fairytales.” “Oh, so only belonging to the loyal family breath fire, right?” “Exactly.” “That’s cool. Those little t***s are so bastard,” Siobhan smirked. ********** He was a few blocks from his house. He took his phone from the pocket. “Natasha, I’m a few blocks from my house. Are those bastards still watching you?” “The last time I saw them they were outside the gate. But it seems they have gone,” Natasha said over the phone. “Alright, but just to be safe, I will use the back door. Also, if those police people are still looking for me.” “Alright, I will open the door then.” Just as she finished talking, the line went dead. She went and opened the kitchen door and sat there. After a few minutes, she heard nose like someone has jumped the fence but the landing was not good at all. Sebastian stormed into the room covered in mad. She shot him a grin and went running in his arms. “Did you fail or something?” “The landing wasn’t good. I guess I’m not as young as I used to be.” “I will make you some tea. You can sit.” “Thanks,” he left and went to the sitting room. After a couple of heartbeats, she came with a steaming cup of tea and snakes. “After you are finished, take a shower Mr.” “Maybe.” “No. Not maybe. After you are done, shower. Or else you will sleep outside.” “It’s my house.” She stared at him in a ‘say that again' way. “I mean our house,” he collected himself, mouth stuffed with snakes. “Good. So it’s agreed then.” She picked up the remote and started watching Zee word. Sebastian shot her a look. “What?” she asked. “Change the channel. I aren’t watching shit.” “Just this one please,” she made those pope eyes. But didn’t work Sebastian grabbed the remote and changed the station. “Hope you have bought all you need, because going outside is not an option,” he said, taking the last sip of his tea. “Not much I think. But it can last for a week and a few days. You just have to reduce your eating habits.” “My eating habits. I work my ass off for that food, so I eat. And speaking of work I have to call that big-headed man.” “You haven’t called your boss yet. Seb seriously?” “I was caught up in all this bullshit. It slipped my mind, ok.” “Lets just hope he hasn’t fired you yet.” “I’m is favorite, don’t worry about that.” “Whatever. Just take a shower.” He tried to argue, but she looked at him. Reminding him of the consequences of not bathing. He went away, tapping his feet on the floor so loud the neighbors probably heard him. ********* “Any news?” Charles asked upon seeing Mulenga and Alinani. “Yes, my alpha,” Alinani replied. “Well, spill it.” “The boy as returned.” “Did he come alone?” “Yes,” Mulenga answered. “Good, then we will leave tomorrow in the evening. Give them time together before they die,” he smirked. “You can go now,” Charles gestured for Mulenga and Alinani to leave. “You know the boy won’t allow you to take the ring that easily, right? And he is expecting you, so I presume he has prepared himself,” Siobhan said. “I know, but as you said, he is still a boy. So crashing his soul won’t be that hard. And Amell, if you eat human heart, it will delight me to bring one for you,” he shot a grin to Amell. “No. They are disgusting, especially adults’ hearts horrible. Just horrible,” Amell answered. “That is weird gaming from you. I thought disgusting foods are your thing.” “I have to eat nutritious ones though.” ********** They got alarmed by the knock on the door. Sebastian got up and went to hide in the other room. Natasha took deep breaths then. “Who are you?” she asked. “A real estate agent,” a man oozed. She opened the door, her eyes widened at what she saw. The man was covered in blood and mad. Breathing so fast, like he just finished running a marathon. She held the door slowly, stepping away. She pushed the door to slam it shut, but the man held up his hand. “Please hear me out. Is this Sebastian’s house?” “No, it’s not. I think you got lost, sir.” “Please, his life is in danger and probably yours as well.” “Get in and you better have something good to say.” The man entered, and she shut the door.
