CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE

She offered him a sit, and they sat down. “Why do you think Sebastian’s life is in danger?” Natasha asked. “Charles is coming for him. I came as fast as I could,” the man said. “We already know that. And who are you? And why are you helping me?” Sebastian said, coming from where he was hiding. The man twirled, stared at Sebastian for some heartbeats until Sebastian came in unobstructed view. The man’s eyes widened, putting his hand on the mouth in shock. “You look exactly like our late alpha,” the man said. “What?” Sebastian asked. “Yeah, you are like his identical twin.” Sebastian and Natasha shared a look. “Will, you quite saying no sense and tell us who the hell you are?” Sebastian spoke. “My name is Robert,” he paused for a breath and went on, “and Charles is my stepdad.” “What! Get up and leave before I obliterate you.” Sebastian stood up, gripped Robert’s hand, and started dragging him to the door. “Listen, I’m here to help. That bastard Charles killed my dad, ok,” he got out from Sebastian’s grip, “it happened right in front of me, but I was too young to fight him. And now it’s my time to make him pay,” Robert said, fire burning in his eyes. “And why should we believe you?” Natasha asked. “You just have to. And besides, you need to keep that bastard from er…,” scratching his head, “the ring and I need him dead. You are kind of outnumbered unless you tell me she is also one of us.” “Oh, no I’m not,” Natasha replied. “Let us go we sit. But it doesn’t mean I fully trust you,” Sebastian said. They went back and sat down. “How did you even know I have the ring and Charles is looking for it?” Sebastian asked. “I have been spying on him for a while now and I heard him talking about the ring to Mulenga and Alinani.” “I presume those are the bastards who attacked me the other night,” Sebastian whispered, but Robert heard him. “And who did you get in the gate we locked?” Natasha asked. “I’m a werewolf do you think a silly gate can stop me. Please,” he bragged. “Then for those men not to enter inside, it means they have something big coming,” Sebastian said. “What are you talking about?” Robert asked “Those men, Alinani and Mulenga, have been following her around but did nothing but unable to do anything. I mean, they could have easily entered, and I have found her dead. God forbid that to happen,” Sebastian spoke. “You are right, those bastards have something huge coming our way,” Natasha said. They allowed silence to break in for a few minutes then. “We better be prepared in that case,” Robert spoke. “Yeah,” Sebastian replied. “Can I have some water please my throat is as dry as the desert,” Robert said. Natasha left and came back with a cup of water. She gave it to the man, and he drank like it was his last time. Robert looked at Sebastian and said, “Seriously, you look exactly like our late alpha.” “Will you quit saying that it’s creep, man?” “You should be related to him in some way, there is just no way.” “Please. Anyway, why do you think he wants the ring for?” “To be immortal, of course. But you know it as dire consequences right?” “Yeah, I do.” “Boys, let me prepare something to eat. Presumably, we die tonight we should die with full stomachs,” she got up and headed to the kitchen, “God knows why I fell in love with a werewolf,” she added. ********** “How far are we?” Charles asked. “We are almost there, my alpha just a few miles,” Mulenga replied. “And you are certain the boy came back. Because if this is a false alarm you won’t like what I will do to you two,” he shot them ferocious looks. “We saw him with our eyes, my alpha, the boy is definitely there,” Alinani replied. “Alright then.” “And I heard you went to hell with Siobhan and Amell. Was it scary?” Mulenga asked in an exciting tone like a boy who is excited about a bedtime story. “Not for me. Siobhan was though,” he lied, “there is even a fight club there,” he added. “Really?” Mulenga asked. “Yeah, and it was not as scary as people think. I might consider going there myself.” Mulenga and Alinani shared a look. “And those swords you came with?” Alinani asked. “We took them from the guards. And they came in handy when we entered the forest.” “A forest in hell,” Mulenga gasped. “Yeah, but a regular forest.” He described to them how the forest was and also told them about the fight. The two men were just amazed by what they were hearing. ********** Natasha finished preparing food, and they all went to eat. “So, do you have any idea why Charles killed your father?” Sebastian asked, trying to sound as remorseful as possible. “Before he could him, I heard Charles telling my dad that he stuck his nose where it didn’t belong.” “Nothing more?” “My father learned Charles had something to do with the alpha’s son’s death.” “That man is sick,” Natasha said. “Tell me about it. And the worst part is when I told my mother she didn’t believe me.” “And did I hear you say you are Charles’s stepson?” “Yeah, he married my mother.” “That must have sucked living with the person who killed you, dad,” Sebastian said. After they finished eating, Robert went and took a shower. When he came back, he found them watching terminator. He just sat down and was taken away by the movie. ********** “You said a few miles, but we just keep ongoing,” Charles said. “We are almost there, my alpha,” Alinani replied. “My alpha, just out of curiosity, are you planning on telling the kid he is your nephew?” Mulenga asked. “I will, but not until he is on my feet begging me to spare his life.” “And I have never seen him use his fire ability before. Does it take that long to discover you have them?” Mulenga asked. “At his age, he should be able to use his fire ability. I also don’t know why he doesn’t use them. Maybe he does. We have just never seen him before.” Charles replied. Charles squatted, his hand on the knees breathing heavily. “Can we transform? I can’t keep up with this s**t no more,” Charles spoke. “No, my alpha, that isn’t a good idea there are cameras all over this road,” Mulenga replied. “I told you we should have passed the forest one,” Charles grunted. They resumed their walk, but this time increased their speed. A few miles, they stopped at Sebastian’s house. “Why did we stop,” Charles asked. “We are here, my alpha,” Alinani replied “Nice now let the fun begin,” he smirked.
