CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

1327 Words
After they reached Melisa supermarket, Trevor parked his car. “Man, hurry,” Trevor spoke. “Yeah, I’m going,” Sebastian said, leaving the car. A few minutes later, Sebastian came back, zipping his pants. Trevor turned on the engine, but before they took off, they heard something. Whatever it was, grunted as something battled him or her from the air. Then a man came from the bushes flying sideways and struck the road with another grunt and an angry whine of pain.   He had short black hair, a short thick beard. And he wore well-fitting jeans, which got damaged as he struck the road. Another man with misty coal-colored hair, which was shining by the moonlight and light in complexion, appeared a few feet from him, and I assumed he was his opponent.   The man who slammed the road raised his wand and said the jinx, the other man ducked and quickly gave his wand a casual flick, but a shield was at the man’s rescue. The man who struck the road gave his wand another flick, and the spell hit the other man. He went flying in the bushes.   The man started running towards Trevor’s car. “His face rings a bell, I wonder if I know him,” Trevor spoke. “He is coming here. What if he works for Siobhan?” Maria asked.   Trevor turned on the car lights, “uncle Richard!”   “Uncle?” Sebastian asked. “Yeah, man, can you open the door so he enters?” Sebastian opened the door and Richard quickly got in. “Uncle Richard, what are you doing here?” “How do you know my name? Are you one of Siobhan’s people?” Richard asked. “No, it’s me, Trevor.” “Trevor, turned around let me see your face,” Trevor turned around, “it’s you. What are you doing here so late?” “Siobhan. The bastard is looking for the spell book.” “Yeah, I know he sent his people. Good thing I found you guys.” “I don’t mean to intrude on your family time, but we have to go before those bastards show up again T,” Maria said. “And I presume you are Maria,” Richard asked. “Yeah, uncle,” she replied. Trevor turned on the engine and they took off. “And who are these two?” Richard asked looked at Sebastian and Emma. “Uncle Richard, you don’t remember Sebastian? And that one is Emma.” Trevor replied. “Sebastian,” stroking his bead, “oh, your best friend, right?” “Yes, uncle,” Sebastian answered. “You almost exposed us to the incarnates kid. Hopefully, you have mastered your beast now.” “Yes, uncle, I have,” he grinned. After an hour of driving, Trevor took a turn to a rather isolated place. It looked nothing like a place anyone can stay. He took another turn, drove for a few minuscules, then packed at a house made from wood, but it looked dashing. They got out and went inside. “Maria, shall we go to bed,” Trevor said. “And where I’m going to sleep, and Emma?” Sebastian asked. “You will find a way. And uncle Richard, you can have my parents’ room,” Trevor said. “Alright, good night then,” Richard said, and went away. “And Maria and I are going. You two figure it out. Good night,” Trevor and Maria left leaving Sebastian and Emma idle standing. “So, I guess we should look for where to sleep,” Sebastian said. “Yeah I guess so,” Emma replied. They searched for a bedroom for a couple of minutes then found one and it just happened that the room was the only bedroom left.   “Guess we are branching together,” Emma said. Sebastian opened the door, and they entered. The bed was well spread, and the room was fine except for the dust on the furniture. Sebastian instantly threw himself on the bed. “We aren’t sleeping on the same bed. You can get a blanket and sleep on that couch,” she pointed on the couch close to the window. “I’m not doing that.” “But Sebastian, you have a wife and she is pregnant, for the love of God.” “Yeah, I know. Wait, did you think?….” “No,” she turned around. “Oh, Jesus. Let us do this Emma, I will put pillows in the middle just to make you comfortable. But I’m not sleeping anywhere else except on this bed.” “If you say so and do you have your phone, my mother must be worried sick?” “Yeah, here,” he handed her the phone. She took it, left the room in the meantime Sebastian was rolling on the bed to find a pleasant spot, presumably. After a few minutes, Emma came back and found Sebastian fast asleep. She took the pillows and put them in the middle. Emma threw herself on the bed and before she knew it; she was halfway to Dream town. The sun rose, Maria opened her eyes and started unwrapping herself out of Trevor’s hands. She finally got out of bed without waking her husband, wore a gown, and exited the room. She reached the kitchen and found Emma cleaning up. “Emma, good morning, you are up early,” Maria Said in a low tone. “Morning Maria,” she spun to face Maria, “I’m kind of used since it’s just me and my mother I have to make sure I do almost all the choirs before I go to work.” “Oh, that’s good. I will clean the sitting room it seems we will stay here for a while.” “Yeah.” Maria took a bloom from the pantry and the rest of the cleaning thing and went to the sitting room.   The women cleaned for almost two hours excluding the bedrooms; they didn’t want to disturb the men. After finishing sweeping, they went to the kitchen and started cooking breakfast.   “I will call Trevor and uncle Richard, you can call Sebastian,” Maria said as they finished cooking. Before they could exit the kitchen, they heard a dog bucking as they looked at each other and went to the sitting room. “A dog here?” Emma asked. “Apparently.” Maria touched the handle before she could open it they heard footsteps coming from the passage wall.   “We were even about to come and call you. Where is uncle Richard?” Maria asked as Trevor and Sebastian came into view. “He must be sleeping. But why did you want to call us for?” Trevor asked. “breakfast is ready. But before we could come we heard a dog barking.” Maria replied. “A dog here?” Sebastian asked. “For how long has it been barking?” “Just a few minutes when we came here it stopped.” “Holy s**t, it’s Willow,” Trevor said and rushed to the door. Maria, Emma and Sebastian just stared at each other, bewildered. And I was sure they all had one question in their minds: Who the hell was Willow. Trevor opened the door and there it was a fluffier topcoat dog standing at the door. It had beautiful jade-green eyes, very tall that it was just inches from reaching Trevor’s waste. It woofed, and the girls said, “aww.” “Come in, boy, get inside, damn you have grown,” Trevor said, closing the door behind him and Willow.
