CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE

1585 Words
“Are you ready?” Siobhan asked. “Can we talk about this?” Charles asked in a slightly cracked tone. “No. Siobhan, do your teleportation thing or whatever you call it,” Amell spoke. Charles and Amell touched Siobhan’s shoulders. Siobhan closed his eyes and after a few seconds, they were in a dark place. “We have reached hell?” Charles asked. “Not yet, this is just an entrance,” Amell answered. The place was so dark you could barely see anything. They walked for a few minutes, then reached a bridge. Charles stepped on the bridge, a wood piece broke and went falling. Charles quickly retrieved his foot. It was not until moments later that they heard the piece of wood struck the ground or wherever it may have landed. Amell went and passed Charles. He stepped on the bridge and started going forward, not seeming to consider what just happened moments ago. Each wood piece Amell stepped on fall to the ground. Charles where he was standing dumbstruck. Siobhan followed, stepping on the remaining wood pieces by the time he reaches the other side, they were only about five wood pieces to step on. Charles sighed then he jumped on the wood piece it started falling but he quickly jumped to the next one and finally he reached where his friends were. “I will lead the way, or else someone might remain here,” Amell said in a rather sarcastic tone. Charles mumbled something under his breath. They entered a round cave. The floor was made of bones, but whoever did the finishing did an excellent job because it was not bumpy or anything in fact, it was like there was a glass on top of the bones. “Am I the only one freaked out by this?” Charles asked. “Kind of. I was once here, and this is Amell’s home, so we have both seen this s**t before,” Siobhan responded. Charles swung around and realized the cave was closing behind them. They took a turn, walked for a few miles, and went down the stairs. They reached a passage wall which had cells like those prison cells but for this cells the bars were made of candy. Which was kind of weird to have candy in hell, maybe, just maybe it was not that terrifying. The cells contained people, but for all, we know they might have been demons. The people in the cells started shouting, then Amell held his hand, and they all went mute. They walked for a few miles, and Amell gestured for them to stop walking. He glanced at the corner and at the gate stood two very tall guys. They wore no shirts, probably to show their well-chiseled bodies. They both wore similar black casual pants and those military bots God knows where they got them from, maybe there were shops in hell for all we know. In their hand, they held shine swords. “Ok. I will handle these bastards, just stay here,” Amell said. “But we can help you fight them. With my wolf abilities and him with his wizard thing,” Charles said. Siobhan grumbled. “Sorry to break it to you, but your powers don’t work here, man,” Amell said, tapping Charles's shoulders supportively. “you are kidding right?” “Actually, he is saying the truth,” Siobhan blurted. “Then why the hell did you bring me here? This is suicide,” Charles raised his voice. “Will you keep it down,” Amell said. “stay here, I will signal you.” Amell went, the two guards got alarmed and held their swords up. Amell raised his hands to surrender. Tricky bastard. ********** They whirled as they heard someone knock on the door. “come in,” they said together. Emma entered and closed the door behind her. “Emma hey,” Sebastian said. “Sorry to interrupt but dinner is ready.” “Oh, thanks we will be there in a sec,” Trevor replied. “Alright, but hurry before the food gets cold,” Without waiting for a reply she turned and left the room. “Don’t tell anyone that I was still going on about the party, especially Maria,” Trevor said. “Alright, I will. And get mad at me for some s**t I don’t know about, I’m gonna screw your ass.” “Whatever.” They got up and exited the room. ********** “Relax boys it’s just me.” “Amell?” they both asked together. “Indeed,” he went closer, not caring that they were carrying swords. “Turn around and do nothing stupid, Amell. You run away thinking you are clever huh?” the white guard said. Amell grumbled. The blackguard went over and tied Amell. Amell looked at Siobhan and Charles in a follow us behind way. He took him, and they entered inside. Siobhan and Charles followed behind. “Are you ready to enter hell?” Siobhan asked, smirking. “I thought we are already in.” “Oh, this should be fun.” He touched the door and cracked it, glanced if Amell and the guards have gone far enough, then opened it and they entered. The room was just a sizeable room. Blood flowing like a waterfall on the side. An enormous table and it looked like they just finished dinner because there were fresh bones on the table except that they were not animal bones but human bones. Apart from the blood flow and the dinner table, there were candy and gumballs in jars. Instead of the walls been painted in black or red, it painted in a pinkish color. Which was disappointing, the most feared place panted in pink but who knows, maybe there’re some nightmares installed for the guys? Hey walked for a few minutes, following Amell and the guard’s trails. Then they heard some things groaning and cursing. They turned around and saw some creatures, monsters, or whatever they might be called. They didn’t have legs; they were like those gin things, except they didn’t have bodies like ghosts. And in their eye holes, there was nothing, only sizeable holes. “This is some deep s**t you bastards have brought me to. What the hell are they?” Charles asked. “Nightmares, where do you think they come from?” Siobhan said, shooting Charles a duh look. They walked for a few miles and took a turn. Then found Amell smirking in their direction, his one foot on top of the blackguard. The white guard was just lying unconscious a few feet from Amell. “It’s prime time you showed up,” Amell said. Siobhan and Charles just looked at each other, stunned. “Lets go, the food is this way. But prepare yourselves we are about to meet some real s**t. And you might take those swords.” Siobhan and Charles took the swords, and they went away. Amell opened a door they entered, and it was filled with creatures of all kinds, not horses or adorable poppies. No. It was filled with weird, terrifying creatures. They walked as quietly as possible so they didn’t draw attention to themselves. At, the center of the room there was a ring, and two freaks were fighting. One was half human and half lion, his face was ripped off to the side you could literally see his teeth. The other one was just human not to forget good look. The half human run towards the other man. He jumped, his mouth stretched wide for a normal human. But the normal human moved to the other side. The half-human man went past him, but before he could reach the ropes, the normal man caught his leg. Whirled him and threw him. He rebounded upon hitting the ropes. The normal man held a hand and the half-human struck his forehead on the man’s hand and fall to his ass. He quickly got up, face filled with wrinkles of outrage. The normal man smirked at him in mockery. They started rounding the ring like those boxing fighters do weird part was that there were too close to each other. The normal man threw a punch, but the half-human flinched, uppercutting the normal man. He went flying, hit the ceiling, then went back and hit the ring ground so hard that the room shake. The audience gasped, then the half-human turned, gesturing for everyone to applaud for him. But received the opposite instead. The half-human was so consumed by his happiness that he didn’t even notice when the normal got up. The normal man did something with his hand, creating a ball of lightning, then threw it at the half-human. He went flying, destroying the ropes, creating a hole in every room he passed. They waited for a few minutes, then. “Here his your hundred and thirty-five champion, the destroyer,” a man sitting below the ring announced. “That is his name?” Charles asked. “Dunno,” Siobhan replied. “So. Who is next?” the man announced. A light started passing through the audience. Then stopped on Siobhan. “We have our next participant,” the audience applauded. “Oh, s**t,” Siobhan oozed.
