CHAPTER FORTY-SEVEN

2382 Words
The next morning Trevor and the boys headed to see their aunties. Trevor was still putting on a disguise with the idea that he is still a fugitive. They reached where Mutale was staying. Trevor knocked on the door, but no one answered. He knocked again and again, still nothing. “I think no one is home. We should go and check at Justine’s place,” Mulenga spoke. “Alright let us go,” Trevor said, and they left. After, an hour, they finally reached Justine’s place. Justine rushed to the door and knocked, very excited. “Hold on,” a woman answered. “Looks like she is home. I will do the talking, I mean, you boys have been gone for a year now they probably think you are dead,” Trevor spoke. “Yes, father,” the boys answered. The door opened Justine’s foster mother opened. Her jaw dropped. She opened her mouth to speak, but closed it again. Then, after about a minute, she collapsed. Trevor rushed and picked her up. They went inside and found Mulenga’s foster mother, as well. She got up, looking from her sister to the boys, then to Trevor. She also opened her mouth, but no world came out. “Mulenga, bring water!” Trevor spoke on top of his lung. Mulenga rushed to the kitchen, then after a minute he came back with a cup of water and gave it to Trevor. Trevor began sprinkling the water on Justine’s foster mother’s face. Mulenga’s foster mother just stood there, wordless. Just looking at the boys. After a little water sprinkling, she woke up, and Trevor sat her up. “I know you have thousands of questions. But please hear me out then you can start asking your questions,” Trevor said. Trevor and the boys went and sat opposite the women. “So this is what happened,” he explained everything and the details he forgot the boys filled those gaps. Even after they explained, the women’s faces were still expressionless. “So you know that they are your kids?” Mulenga’s foster mother asked. “Yes, I do. And why did you have to hide such a thing from me? I might understand you wanted to fulfill your little sister’s last wish, but what about me I also have the right over these boys?” Trevor asked, voice cracked. “Boys, me and Angela always wanted to tell you about this, but as you said, you went back in time or something like that. You saw that your mother made us promise not to tell Trevor anything,” Justine’s foster mother spoke. “And after I and Esther saw the news that your father was a fugitive, we came to a conclusion that we made the right choice,” Angela spoke. “But mother you should have at least told us that aunt Valerie was our mother. Not finding out the way we did,” Mulenga spoke his eyes watery. “I know, my boy, please forgive us?” Angel said, tears smearing her make-up. “Anyway, what is done is done let us focus on the future now. And I would like to say thank you for nurturing these bastards so well. I don’t know how I would have done it now that Maria is gone it would have been very difficult,” Trevor spoke. “Our condolences. It was heartbreaking, and I don’t know if wherever you call that place you were at they have a television but they found the person who framed you,” Ester spoke. “Really?” Trevor asked. “Yes, and yesterday there was a charity event in yours and Maria’s name,” Angela replied. “A charity event?” He asked. “Yes, at your cafe,” Angela answered. “Let me bring you something to eat,” Ester got up. “Don't bother yourself, we are even about to go. I have to go and see Sebastian,” Trevor said. “No. Our boys came back after a year we can allow them to go eating nothing,” Angel said. And without giving Trevor time to retort, they left. After a few minutes, they came back with cookies and coffee and gave it to them. They finished eating, and Trevor and the boys got up. Ester and Angela escorted them to the door, both of them smiling from ear to ear. “I sure wish you stared a little longer,” Estar spoke. “Dad,” the boys looked at Trevor. “Tomorrow. We have to go and see your uncle Sebastian,” Trevor said. The boys hugged their mothers, and they took off. *********** “Hold on,” Natasha shouted upon hearing someone knocking. She strode to the door and opened it. “Is your husband home,” the man said. “Yes, who are you?” She asked respectively because the man was old. “Just call your husband woman,” the man said, sounding rather disrespectful. “You are at my house that to looking for my husband and you are giving me attitude. Sir, it’s because of your age that I’m speaking politely, so don’t provoke me,” Natasha said. “Dear, who is it?” Sebastian shouted. “It’s for you!” She shouted back. Sebastian got up from the chair and went to the door. When he reached the door, his jaw dropped. “Charles?” he asked, face confused. “Yes, it’s me,” Charles spoke. “You are alive? Wait, why am I even asking? You bastards took my loved ones, I will end it right here right now,” he began moving towards Charles, slowly turning into a werewolf. “Chill boy, I didn’t come to fight, ok. I have something I have to tell you.” “Why should we listen to your, after what you and your friends did?” Natasha asked. “I wasn’t even at the party why am I been blamed for what transpired? The ones you should blame are dead. Just please hear me out, then you can obliterate me if you want. But I can assure you it wouldn’t be easy,” Charles spoke. “You have ten minutes,” Sebastian said. “But d......” Sebastian held up his hand to silence Natasha. “Come in,” Sebastian said, and they entered. They sat on the couch, “your time starts now.” “I know this will be hard to believe, but I’m your uncle,” Charles said. “Wait what?” Sebastian’s eyes widened. “Yes, your father who was the rightful owner of the thrown was your father.” “Get out of my house now,” Sebastian got up, took Charles’s hand, and dragged him to the door. “You have to believe me. Why do you think you have that ring? My brother gave it to you right after.....” He stopped. “Right after what?” Sebastian asked, pushing the bastard outside. “That is not important the important thing is that you need to get that ring from Robert. Or else things will get messy,” Charles spoke. “And how is me fighting that bastard connected to my father?” “You need to discover your true potential. You are more powerful than you think. And you need as many powers as you could gather to destroy that bastard,” Charles spoke, moving close to Sebastian. “Leave,” Sebastian said, grinding his teeth. “Lis......” “Leave, I don’t want to hear your nonsense. If Robert shows up, I will deal with him myself. Come on, leave,” he began pushing him to the gate. Charles opened the door, and Sebastian slammed it behind him. “Asshole,” he said and went back. “Can you believe the nerve of that ass?” Sebastian spoke as he passed Natasha. Before they could reach the sitting room, someone knocked again. Sebastian matched back, displaying a furious expression. “I thought I tol.........” His eyes widened. He opened his mouth, but no word came out. “Brother-in-law,” Natasha said behind Sebastian. “Yes, Natasha. You asshole, your jaw is about to reach the ground,” Trevor said. “Natasha, are we dreaming?” Sebastian asked. Natasha pinched Sebastian behind. “Ouch.” “We aren’t dreaming,” she said. “Trevor, is it you, man?” Sebastian began touching Trevor everywhere. “Of course it is me. Now, are you gonna let us stay outside?” “Please come in,” Natasha said, and they entered. Sebastian closed the door behind them, and they went to the sitting room. “Is it really you?” He asked again. “Of course you, idiot.” Sebastian moved and gave Trevor a bro hug so tight he nearly cracked his lungs. “Dude, I’m not breathing,” Trevor said, and Sebastian let him go. “Where is Maria?” Natasha asked excitedly. Trevor just looked down. “Unfortunately, Maria died,” Mulenga replied on behalf of his father. “Oh,” was all Natasha could say. “Enough with that. Bro, start explaining from the top. And who are these two?” Sebastian asked, pointing at Justine and Mulenga. “Here we go,” Trevor explained every detail to Sebastian and Natasha again what he forgot his boys filled the gaps. “And that is how we are here,” he took a deep breath. “So these two bastards are your kids?” Sebastian asked. “Yes, and mind your language in front of them,” Trevor responded. “Speaking of babies, where is my nephew?” “They are sleeping,” Natasha said, bringing coffee with are. “They how many kids did you guys have?” Trevor asked, taking a sip from his coffee. “They are twins,” Sebastian spoke. “Seriously?” “Yes, they are sleeping in our bed. You can go and check, but if you wake them up, prepare yourself to babysit,” Sebastian said. “I will be as quiet as a mouse,” Trevor said and got up. “A mouse is not quite dad,” Justine spoke, and he and Mulenga got up as well. “You son even have more knowledge than you,” Sebastian and Natasha’s smiled stretched wide. “Whatever,” Trevor said, and went upstairs and the boys followed him. “I still can’t believe he is still alive, dear,” Sebastian spoke. “I know. But we should just thank God he is alive,” Natasha said. “Yeah, you are right.” ********** “That is your uncle Sebastian and his wife Natasha,” Trevor spoke as they walked towards the room. The boys just nodded. Trevor opened the door to the bedroom, they entered and spotted a crib. They strode towards it and found two babies sleeping. Trevor smiled and looked at his sons, hoping he was there when they were infants. “Father, we are here now. We aren’t going anywhere,” they held their father’s hands. After a few minutes, they started going back, then Mulenga knocked out a photo. But before it could land on the floor, Justine held his hand and the picture flame hung in the air. Trevor moved and got the picture flame and put it in its position. “Thanks, man,” Mulenga said. “You are welcome assh....I mean bro,” Justine said, and looked up at his father to see if he heard. “Justine, what did I say about the use of vulgar language?” He asked, and they left the room. “Sorry dad,” Justine spoke, “it was just a slip of a tongue,” he added. “There is nothing about tongue slippage here, ok? I think I have to start been tuff on you,” Trevor scolded in a fatherly tone. ********** “They are as beautiful as their mother,” Trevor spoke upon arriving in the sitting room. “They look exactly like me. What do you mean they look like Natasha?” Sebastian said angrily? “Like you please. Look at your air and there’s zero resembles,” Trevor spoke. “But I think they have the same nose,” Mulenga spoke. “I’m with dad on this one,” Justine spoke. “Care to make this interesting?” Mulenga asked, smiling mischievously. “Two rounds of the game of chase the winner will say who the twins look like,” Justine said. “Uncle Sebastian, you don’t happen to have a chase, do you?” Mulenga asked. “There should be one in that room. I haven’t played it in a long time now,” Sebastian said, pointing at the room to the left side. The boys went running and entered the room. “So tell me how you have been staying? Siobhan, Amell, and Charles?” Trevor asked. “We have heard nothing from Siobhan and Amell ever since that night,” Sebastian spoke. “Charles still troubles you about the ring? But you don’t have it anymore or you took it from them?” Trevor asked. “Of course I don’t have the ring. And, just when you arrived, I was from chasing Charles. He showed up after a year telling me I’m his nephew.” “What?” Trevor’s eyes widened. “Yes, and he wants me to go get the ring from Robert.” “Who did Robert get your ring?” “I don’t know man. The question is what Charles wants? And why he showed up after a year telling me I’m his nephew?” They looked at each other with questioning expressions.
