CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT

1216 Words
“Trevor, wake up the sun is almost above us,” Maria said. Trevor cracked his eyes and saw Maria in the dressing mirror She wore a dashing blue dress that emphasized her curvy body even more. Instead of waking up, he wrapped himself in a blanket, including the head this time. “You forced me to do this,” Maria said. Trevor peeled open the blanket and saw Maria getting the water from the bedside table. “I’m up!” Trevor jumped from the bed. “Good then. Fresh up and come downstairs,” she said. Without waiting for a reply, she left, closing the door behind her softly. “Can’t a man just relax for a few minutes?” he murmured. He got up from bed and went to the bathroom. He got out of the shower, dressed up, and went downstairs. “Hey boy,” he tossed a treat to Willow. It jumped, got the treat, and sat on the couch again. “Morning, everyone,” he said and sat closer to Maria. “Morning Trevor,” everyone said. Maria took the plate and saved Trevor breakfast. He bowled in appreciation. “Seb and Trevor, you have to go and buy food,” Natasha said. “But we just bought some,” Sebastian argued. “You bought the food two weeks ago. The night you met with Meaghan, isn’t it?” “Yes, sister-in-law. But, even though all that food has finished?” Trevor asked. “You two have finished the food,” Maria said, pointing at Trevor and Sebastian, “be like uncle Richard,” she added. “Alright, you win. We will go in the evening. Can we eat in peace now?” Sebastian asked. “Good boy,” Natasha patted Sebastian on the head. There was silence for a heartbeat then. “Uncle Richard, can you teach me the teleportation spell? I have tried many times but failed miserably.” Trevor spoke. “It has been long ever since I tried it, though,” Richard replied. “But you will help me, right?” “I will try,” Richard spoke. They finished eating, and the women took the plates to the kitchen. Natasha’s pregnancy kept on getting bigger to the point that they started presuming she was carrying twins. Which meant more joy for Sebastian. Trevor was rubbing his eyes very hard. He opened them and closed them again. He repeated the same process for a couple of minutes. “Trevor, are you ok?” Sebastian asked. “Yeah, I don’t know but my eyes are kinder etching man,” Trevor replied. “That’s new,” Sebastian said, and turned to face the television. Trevor continued rubbing his eyes until he closed them. “Trevor, are you ok?” Maria asked. “Yeah, it’s just that my eyes are etching so bad,” he responded. “Let me see,” she went and sat close to him. Trevor opened his eyes. Maria jumped from the couch and dropped her phone. Everyone turned to see why she just reacted that way. They looked at Trevor and their jaws dropped. “What! Can anyone tell me what is going on or you are just gonna stand there staring at me?” Trevor asked and stood up. “Dude, can you see all of us clearly?” Sebastian asked. “Yeah.” “How man fingers are this?” Emma held up her hand. “Three,” he replied, “what the hell is going on? Maria,” he went closer to her. Maria picked her phone up and held it in front of Trevor’s face. “What!” Trevor stepped back. “Uncle Richard, what is this?” Maria asked. “I don’t know, daughter-in-law. I have seen nothing like this before,” Richard replied. Trevor grabbed the phone from Maria’s hands and looked at his reflection again. “Sister-in-law, haven’t you read anything about wizards’ eyes glowing?” Sebastian asked. Maria began pacing, beating her head, “brain think,” she muttered. She paced for a few more minutes than, “nothing.” “The worst thing is that the books are back at home,” Trevor said and sat down. Maria moved and sat beside Trevor, “are the eyes hating?” she asked. “No, not really, only etching,” he replied. “We will think of something, don’t worry.” “I know you will, dear,” Trevor responded and hugged her. ********* “How are we gonna unlock the cells without the guards getting alarmed?” Mulenga asked. Siobhan raised his hand keys, dangling from his finger. “You are one smart bastard,” Mulenga smiled from ear to ear. “Respect. I’m still older than you,” Siobhan spoke. “Sorry. Are we just gonna leave them here?” Mulenga asked, pointing at the humans. “Yeah, wait, do you want us to take them?” “Yes. Put it this way, these bastard frogs need humans so they don’t go into extinction so if we take the humans they will have no human to turn into their kind.” “If you put it that way.” They finally reached the cell where Alinani, Amell and Charles were. “Mulenga,” Alinani called out. Mulenga and Siobhan whirled. “Wait, how did you know he is Mulenga?” Siobhan asked, looking from Alinani to Mulenga. “Since we are siblings, we can sense each other,” Mulenga replied. “Oh,” was all Siobhan said. “Will you open up or you gonna let those bastards outside to get to us?” Amell spoke. “With that attitude, I suggest we leave you here,” Charles spoke. “Siobhan, will you open up, please? These two have been arguing the entire time and I can’t stand them,” Alinani said. Siobhan opened up, and they came out. “Take the keys and finish opening up,” Siobhan handed the keys to Mulenga, “I and Amell will handle the guards in the meantime.” Siobhan raised his wand. Blue sparks started appearing at the tip of the wand, then listening went and broke the power restraining bracelets. Amell stretched his hands, then his wings came out. One kid’s eyes in the cell widened with excitement. ********** “So this is happening for the first time, right?” Emma asked. “Yeah,” Maria spoke. Trevor started moving his shoulders weirdly. “Trevor,” Maria said. “Yes,” he replied. “Are you ok?” “Yeah, but my back is paining,” he continued moving his shoulders. “Please don’t remove his shirt or we will even something weird than his eyes glowing,” Natasha said. “Natasha shut up. How are we gonna find out what is happening to him if we don’t examine him,” Sebastian retorted? “Maria, go on please,” he added. Maria moved to the back of Trevor, started removing Trevor’s shirt. “Oh, God,” she gasped.
