Norman

5. I didn't even know what had brought me here. Maybe it was to collect information, maybe it was boredom, maybe it was me giving them face but… maybe this was it. I stared at the terrified girl before me and just shook my head. I mean, I had never seen someone as scared as this girl in front of me. And I could see through her: she wasn't just scared of me; there was something else that was bothering her. "Calm down, or your heart might pop out," I blurted out, making her jump out of her skin before turning to peep at me for a millisecond, then dropping her face again. I really didn't know what was happening to me, but despite the fear, something just drew me to this girl. I am Norman, the feared Lycan King of Silver Claw Pack, and by just hearing my name, everyone trembled. Even the feared Alphas feared me. I gained my power through inflicting fear in people. No one had ever disagreed or gone against me. I was known for bedding women and abandoning them. Well, why not? I enjoyed their naivety and stupidity. Always throwing themselves at me, thinking they would end up being my chosen mates, which would never happen. Not in this life anyway. I had bedded beautiful, classy, powerful women, but none of them gave me the urge to turn any of them into my breeder. But here I was, in front of a shaking and trembling little girl who looked slim, tired, and hurt. I could tell by her big round eyes and her soft face that she was indeed beautiful, just that she had gone through hell, just by staring at her. And with the rumors I had heard about her father... but still, I wanted her to be my breeder. What was wrong with me? But her smell drew me in and it was getting hard to extricate myself. I mean, I had the ability to make anyone a breeder—but not a hurt a sad little girl who flinched just at my presence, let alone my touch. "I-I don't know what y-you were talking about earlier, b-but please allow me to go," she stammered, and for the first time in years, I felt emotions of pain on her behalf. Dammit, Norman! What was wrong with me? This was not me at all. I never cared about anyone, let alone a little thing who seemed to have been suffering for years. Someone who wasn't even worth standing by me. "Who is Alpha Madd—" "H-he is my father. I really need to go before he finds me and kills me!" She was already on her heels, but this time, I didn't stop her. She looked young and wounded. What a father, to do such a thing to his own! "Raven, I want us to help each other." I sat upright on the bed, my deep green eyes—which I was sure were every woman's weakness—staring at her without blinking. Well, I knew I was handsome, everyone knew that. My face alone made every woman turn back when I walked around. Most of them wanted to be close to me, but they could only fantasize because they all feared me. I mean, who would want to come closer to a ruthless King who didn’t think twice before breaking the head of anyone who went against him? And again, I chose who had the privilege to be close to me, and this girl—well, I think she had that privilege. "Y-you know my name?" The girl before me was shocked to her bones. Her eyes were out of their sockets. "I know who I want to know." I could tell she would pee in her pants with the way she was shaking. She crossed her hands behind her and locked her tongue. Dammit! She was beautiful. She just needed a little maintenance and good food, and she could be a queen. Wait, what was I thinking? "I also know your father sold you to an old perverted man," I continued, making her swallow hard and coil back, her curious blue eyes making me want to bring her closer. Wow. Blue and green—what a combination for my pups. I wanted to smile at that thought, but for some reason, I stopped myself. Again, something was wrong with me because—why was I enjoying her company and the way she was so scared of me? "But that’s none of my business because now you are carrying what is mine." I got up slowly from the bed and tiptoed closer to her. "Don’t!" I growled, making her flinch and stop moving back. "Remember my promise of breaking your legs from before?" I reminded, and she closed her eyes, her heart throbbing harder than before, which was starting to annoy me. Well, being a Lycan King meant I had heightened senses more than anyone else in the supernatural world. And this little wolf before me was giving me headaches. If it were just anyone else, now they would have gotten it from me, but this one... she seemed special to me. I don’t know why. "M-my father will kill me," she murmured, and a tear landed on her cheek. Dammit! I hated seeing her cry, so I moved my hand and wiped the tear away from her cheek, and her blue eyes flew open in shock. "I don’t like scared girls. Don’t test my limits for—" Before I could finish my statement, my phone started ringing from the bedside table, and I waved my hand for her to excuse me and walked to it. I wonder who has the guts to distract me at this time of the day. They all knew that I didn't take distractions well, but still, they were trying me. It better be something important. "Excuse me, I need to receive this." With that, I grabbed the phone and walked out of the room, making sure to close the door from outside so that the little wolf inside wouldn’t think of escaping me—even though I knew it was hard to slip away from me. One thing I knew was that she now belonged to me. Why not? I had already knotted her and she had my pups in her. She could be free but not now, not until I was satisfied with her service. Not until she gave me what I needed and what I needed were pups.
