THE ALPHA

1013 Words
KILLIAN I never desired the Alpha throne; it found me on its own. My father was a great Alpha, but he died from a rare heart disease, and the throne passed down to his firstborn. An 18-year-old boy who wanted to enjoy his youth ended up taking the heaviest burden on his weak shoulders. I was naive back then. Walkolf was my father's loyal friend and the one who taught me things. My heart was still not into it, but a storm changed everything. Our enemies killed my mother, and a few wolfless were also involved. My mother's death replenished my soul with immense pain. The storm was my fault. If only I was serious about my position, my mother wouldn't have to face such a brutal death at the hands of our enemies. When everything was gone, she entered my pitiful life. A sixteen-year-old young girl was hired as my attendant to serve me. Her name was Tiara Mitchell. She served me for a year...only to point a dagger at my chest. Tiara Mitchell was a spy sent by an enemy. In the end, she left me, too. The old Killian disappeared with her death. A new Killian was born, and he was wiped of his emotions. One by one, I killed my enemies and avenged my mother's death. Killian Salvatore, this name became a threat to every other pack. After turning twenty-eight, my emotions were completely worn out, and blood started to comfort me. The Alpha throne, which was never my choice, was the only solace left in my life. I made my pack the most powerful.Everyone was terrified of the Crystal Moon pack's Alpha. It was fascinating. Walkolf wanted to hire another attendant, but my lips refused. “Every Alpha needs an attendant until you find yourself a Luna to take care of you.” He muttered softly. My eyes glared at him. “Luna?” “Are you serious?” He sighed and moved closer to me at the glass window. “Is this about Tiara?” My heart was struck with a familiar pain. She came into my life and made me believe in emotions again. I grew attached to her and solely submitted myself to our bond. Killian Salvatore was head over heels for her. Tiara was the first woman in my life, and I wanted her to be the last. But... The day I wanted to ask her to be my Luna...was also the same day she tried to kill me with a dagger. “This is not about Tiara!” I growled. “If you don't take an attendant, then I'll find you a Luna.” “Are you threatening me?” My brow twitched. A smile glinted on his mouth. “Trying to make a deal.” He answered. “Do you really want a poor, innocent girl to lose her life?” My words whispered. “This is serious, Killian.” “I will personally select your attendant this time, and she will be perfect.” His mouth uttered with confidence. “You choose…” “A Luna or an attendant?” He left me no choice. Stubborn old man! “If the attendant provokes even a little bit of my suspicion, I will wrest her heart from her chest.” My mouth made it clear. Walkolf nodded his head. My feet stepped out of the shower, and I noticed a shadow near the bookshelf. Someone had sneaked into my room. How brave of her! I slowly approached her presence and pinned her against the shelf, seizing her hands behind her waist. She was startled. “Who are you?” “Ah…Alpha?” Her trembling voice inquired. I turned her to me, and our eyes met. Black long hair, baby blue eyes, and fair rosy cheeks. She was an unfamiliar face and pretty fragile for a spy. “Who are you?” “Y-Your new attendant, Alpha.” She answered timidly. “Gamma told me to introduce myself, and I called for you, but you didn't answer.” Her plump lips explained hastily. “So Walkolf chose you!” She gulped and shook her head. “Undress yourself.” I commanded. Her eyes widened in shock. “W-What do you mean?” “Undress yourself!” My words repeated. “But why?” Her face turned pale, and her eyes were embellished with shame. “I want to check if you're carrying any dangerous weapons.” My mouth revealed my intention. “Alpha” “There's no weapon with me!” The corner of my lips curled. Experience has taught me not to trust women, and she refused my orders on top of that. “What's your name?” I asked. “Rose Lancaster.” She mumbled. “Didn't they teach you during the training session that Alpha's command is superior to everything?” “They did.” Her gaze fell on the floor. “An attendant is Alpha's possession.” “You know the rules, right?” “Yes, Alpha.” “What are the rules?” I questioned. Her lips sucked in a breath. “An attendant serves her Alpha in every situation.” “She’s not allowed to have any other man in her life.” “She solely belongs to Alpha; even her body is Alpha's possession.” “Alpha's command is her final world.” “There you are!” My words interrupted. Her eyes slowly looked up at me. “You know everything, so why are you refusing my command?” My eyes glared into hers. Her long fingers anxiously started rubbing each other. “Either you do it yourself, or I will do it.” “NO!” Her voice raised. She bit her lower lip and clenched her right fist tightly. “I will do it.” Her lips murmured. My feet stepped back, and I crossed my hands over my chest. “Start.” Her left fingers reached her strap on her right shoulder and she slowly slid down the lace to her arm.
