Chapter 3

545 Words
***Tyler's POV*** I go down to the lobby and go out the front doors. I plug in my earbuds and sit against the tree while I wait for my bus. I slip out a rainbow beanie from my bag and put it on. I listen to my music and slip off my jacket. I start doing push ups and sit ups while I wait for the bus. I'm forced to stop when my phone vibrates. I pull it out and look at it. Please call me Rachel. ;) - Ms. Lykins. I chuckle and look up around me. Suddenly I lock eyes with her across the grass. Like what you see then? ;) - Tyler. I instantly responded. My phone vibrates in my hand and my pulse quickens. You started this Tyler. You don't know me. Is this really something you want to do? - Ms. Lykins. I bark out a laugh and look up at her. I raise an eyebrow and smirk. I should be saying the same thing to you Rachel. I can handle myself. Thanks for the concern. Have a good day. - Tyler. With that I put my phone away and pick up my jacket. I put it back on and lean against the tree as I pull out my vapor cigarette. I inhale the vapor and slowly let it cloud up around me. The bus pulls up and I put it back in my pocket. I look at the time and get on the bus. I close my eyes and focus on my music. I feel my phone buzz again and ignore it. What she said stung. She doesn't even know me. Why the hell am I attracted to my f*****g teacher? Why does she have to be so damn attractive? Why does she have to look like a f*****g student? All these questions are running through my head among other things. Like what I want to do to her. I grit my teeth at the thought of what I could be doing with my writing teacher. I arrive at CACC and put away my earbuds. I make my way to class and sit down in the back. I remove my hat and tuck it in my jacket. I listen to what the teacher says very intently and take notes diligently. For the second time my phone buzzes in my pocket. And I ignore it for the second time. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The class goes by rather quickly. Before I know it I'm making my way back to the high school to go home. I'm excited to see what we do tomorrow though. I mean this is an automotive class. I get on the bus and it heads back to the school. When it pulls up at the school, I make my way home. It doesn't take long to get home either. I go inside and change into a more relaxed shirt. I take my books outside and do my homework on the porch swing. After I'm done I sit back and relax in the sun on my swing. I start thinking about what she said to me earlier and can't help but get annoyed at how cryptic and confusing she can be. I decide to let it be for a while.
