My body felt absolutely spent when I woke up late in the day, but the wonderful feeling that coursed through me couldn’t be denied. I didn’t care about the soreness in my legs or the stinging sensation in my neck from where Gabriel had fed off me. I felt too at peace, and even though I knew it had to be later in the day, I simply couldn’t move from the spot. I felt too good and stretched my body along the mattress, loving that all I could smell was Gabriel.
I slowly opened my eyes, only to find Gabriel absent. Groggily, I looked around his room, trying to figure out where he might be, but I couldn’t see him anywhere.
