Chapter 5 ~ Missing

"Taylor wanna hang out later?" Nico asks walking beside me. "What classes do we have tonight?" Nico thinks for a moment. "Just training why?" I shrug. "Just asking, yeah we can hang out." He gives me a small smile. "Awesome! Wanna invite Jenny?"

"Yeah if you want." Nico walks up to Jenny's door and knocks a few times. He waits for a few minutes before frowning as he turns around to face me. "What?" I ask stepping closer to Jenny's door. "She's not answering."

"She probably is in a class or something." Nico shakes his head. "We all have the same classes and we don't have a class right now."

"Nico I'm sure she's fine."

"Maybe we should ask the main desk to see if they know where she is?" Nico says. "I'll call her, okay? if she doesn't pick up we'll go down to the main desk or ask Justin." Nico nods. I take my phone from my pocket and start to call her. "Did she answer?" Nico asks nervously. "No i just started calling her." We stand there for a minute as it rings then it goes to voicemail. "She didn't answer." I state. "Come on we should go to the main desk just to make sure." I nod. "Okay." I say as we turn around to walk back down the steps. I try to think back to when i last saw her. The last i had seen her was after the meeting with the board when she stormed outside. She had gotten upset at Jax for suggesting that Kai and Tristan saved us for our blood. Unease kept into my bones as we reached the main desk where Zoey was sitting by herself she had her hair tied up in ponytail. "Hey Taylor, Nico what's up?" She asks smiling at us. "Have you seen Jenny?" Zoey thinks for a moment before shaking her head. "No, can't you find her?" Nico shakes his head. "We thought she'd be in her room but she's not there."

"When was the last you saw her?" Zoey asks looking between us. "I last saw her going outside." I say. "What time was that?" Zoey asks as she starts to write something down. "I don't know the time but it was right after the meeting with the board." She nods. "Amy was by herself at that point. I'll send out a message to every hunter and trainee to see if they saw her." Nico opened his mouth to say something but i spoke over him. "Thank you, Zoey we'll see you around." I say as i grab Nico's arm start to drag him to the stairs. "I can walk you know!" He says ripping his arm from me. "And what the hell was that for?!" Nico asks glaring at me. "You were going to say something you'd probably regret later so i stopped you from doing that." I say crossing my arms. He rolls his eyes but he doesn't say anything. "We'll find her. she's probably not even missing." I say. He looks at me for a second before he nods. "Alright but we should go talk to Justin to see if he's seen her." I nod. "Where is he?"

"probably his room."

"Do you know where that is?" Nico nods. "Yeah he's on our floor."

"why?" I ask. "because they don't want anyone in training to have a floor to themselves and to keep an eye on us." Nico says as he starts to walk back up the steps. After a few minutes we reach Justin's room we knock a few times before he answers. "Taylor, Nico? what are you two doing?"

"We can't find Jenny." Nico says with a frown. "You can't find her like she's missing?" I nod. "Yeah we talked to Zoey she said she'll send out a message to every hunter and trainee." He nods. "There's nothing i can do until we know or not if she's missing."

"There's not?" Nico asks. Justin nods. "Yeah we won't know until tonight or tomorrow."

"Why so long?" I ask. "It gives the person time to turn up. I don't actually know why we have to wait so long it's how the board has it set up." Nico's shoulders slump. "Even if she's missing we'll find her." Justin says placing a hand on Nico's shoulders. The training class was cancelled soon after that. The rest of the day went by slowly hoping she'd show up but she never did.

I look around my room. standing by the door was Tristan and Kai. "What are you two doing here?" I ask. Kai frowns slightly. "She's missing isn't she?" Kai asks me. "Jenny? Yeah she's missing." Kai rubs his eyes. "Why? do you know where she is?" I ask turning so i was fully facing him. "Sadly we don't but we know who took her." Tristan says softly. "Who took her?" I ask turning so i was facing him. "There's a group of vampires we're after." Kai says. "And they took Jenny?" I ask looking at him. "We think so." i frown. "Where are they?" I ask. "You don't plan on going there do you?" Tristan asks. "Of course i plan on going there! They took my best friend." Tristan shakes his head. "It's not safe. You're not going."

"I'm not going?! Who the hell do you think you are?" I ask sending him a glare. He let's out a small growl. Kai calmly places a hand on his shoulder as if that'll hold him back. "If you know what's good you'll listen to me." He says slowly but i could hear the anger in his words. As he says it the dream starts to fade.

I wake up to my phone ringing. The number was unknown i slowly pick up my phone i look at it for a second before i answer it. "Who is this?" I ask rubbing my eyes. "Who i am is none of your business but we have some one you want." The unknown person says in a deep voice. "You have Jenny?" I ask as i jump from my bed. The deep voice laughs. "Is that her name?"

"Where is she?" The voice stays silent for a second. "Walk outside and you'll know." without thinking i grab my shoes and jacket. i quickly shove my feet into my shoes before i throw open my door and bound down the stairs. Once i reached the main door i throw it open before i run outside. Hidden in the woods stood a taller man with dark red eyes. His hair was hidden under his hood. He stepped forward as the door closes. Within a second he was in front of me a wicked smirk on his face. I realize two things then. One i didn't bring any type of key card and Two i probably won't be living to see the morning. "You'll be great bait." He says as my world goes black.
