Samantha
I ran down the stairs and into the main foyer. I only saw a few parts of the house. Just the kitchen, our bedroom, our bathroom, the entrance. Wait, what was that last one? What did I just say? Did I just call Blake's bedroom and bathroom ours? This guy was having such an effect on me. I should really stay away. Then again, I was his.
But you secretly want it.
No, I don't!
Are you sure?
Yes! Maybe. Ok, fine no.
"Hi," someone greeted snapping me out of my thoughts. It was a girl around my age, maybe older. She looked exactly like Kate. Just without the glasses. She had Kate's long blonde hair and warm chocolate brown eyes. She's also slightly taller than me.
"Hi. You must be Brea?"
"I am. And you must be my Luna," she said while bowing. Oh right. Brea was the first werewolf I met besides Blake, Kate, Adrian, and Andre. And they don't really count so Brea was the first one.
"You can call me Sam," I laughed.
"So, I hear we're going shopping!" she exclaimed.
"Yeah, I need a new bathing suit."
"A bathing suit? You do know it's February, right? It's not swimming season," Brea laughed.
"I know, it's not cold though."
"Not cold? Not to be rude but it's like 30 degrees out there."
"What? It's never been that cold before. It's hot all year around."
"Oh right. I forgot you're from LA. Well, Sam meet New York. The seasons change every 3-4 months," she explained opening the front door and a chill goes through.
"Oh," I said with disappointment. "I guess there's no reason for me to buy a bathing suit now is there?"
"No, at least not yet. How much money do you have on you?"
"Just a hundred. Oh! But I also got some spending money I brought along," I explained.
"Ok, you go run up to get it and inform Blake that there's been a change in plans," she commanded.
"Ok, I'll be right back." I ran through the house, up the stairs, down the hall, and into our room. I opened the door and run to my suitcase. I forgot he moved everything.
"Blake!" I called turning around, which was the biggest mistake of my life. He was just standing there, naked. It took all of me not to look down, which I failed. He was big, even without the erection he's big. I almost fainted at the sight. Instead, I just flushed a dark red.
"Yes?" he innocently asked, as if he wasn't naked and wet. He begins to walk over to me and I keep my eyes off him.
"Um, have you seen my money? I had about 100 or so dollars in my suitcase and since you moved all my stuff, I was wondering where you put it." He was almost in my face now and with him being taller than me, that just made things worse.
"Hmm, yeah, I did see a hundred and some 20's. Now let me think, where did I put them?" he wonders to himself. I could tell that he was fake thinking and he was just messing with me.
"I don't know Blake," I said crossing my arms so I wasn't intimidated by his nakedness. "Where did you put my money?"
"Oh! I remember. I put them near the bed."
"Near? As in, not on the bed?" I asked walking over to the bed.
You're so slow.
What are you- oh. After I had turned around, Blake scooped me up and threw me on the bed. He had to since I was like 10 feet away from it but still, it wasn't necessary.
"Blake!" I complained. "I just need my money so Brea and I could go shopping."
"I thought you were only going to buy a bathing suit? I even gave you $100."
"I was. Then Brea reminded me of a season called: Winter. Ew, how do you live in New York?"
"I could ask you the same thing about Los Angeles."
"LA is hot all year around and I love it," I shrugged.
"Earthquakes?"
"Cold?" I countered back.
"Heat? Humidity?"
"Snow? Ice? Staying indoors? You know what? I don't have time for this. Where's my money? Brea has been waiting for a long time now," I realized.
Blake sighs in defeat as well. "Right there," he pointed to the dark brown dresser and on top, I see the money that I have brought along with me. I counted to make sure all of it was there, and it all was. I left the 20's, knowing I'll probably need them later and make my exit. But before I do, I quickly pecked Blake's lips.
"What was that for?"
"Goodbye kiss," I shrugged, leaving. I raced down the stairs and found Brea on her phone.
"Look who finally got out of bed," she teased. "What took you so long?"
"Your Alpha/brother can be troubling," I accused and we shared a laugh before we left. We walked to the driveway and I see that a limo is all ready to leave.
"We're taking that?" I wondered pointing. Brea laughed again and we hopped in. I've only been in New York for twenty-four hours and I've been a limo twice. Make that three times.
"Max," I said when I realized the driver.
"Future Luna," he slightly bowed and I scowl at him but he doesn't notice. Or maybe he does and he doesn't care. "Brea. Where to today?"
"The mall, please Max?" Brea asked. I loved how she asked and didn’t command, unlike her brother.
"Of course." He pulled down the driveway and out onto the road.
"So, tell me," Brea suddenly demanded.
"Tell you what?"
"Why did you need to buy a bathing suit? When and where did you and my little brother meet? And when and why did he mark you? I should slap him for that." I was stunned by her questions.
"Ok, the reason behind the bathing suit is kind of a secret. We met at a club last night. I don't know why he marked me but he did the night we met," I explain.
"Secret? Girl please, we're girls. We don't do secrets."
"Well, I have been keeping this secret since I was 17, so yeah, it's a secret." When I told Brea this, she pouted
"So, you met the day Adrian came back?"
"Yeah, he also mentioned you not wanting to come out with us that night. Why didn't you?"
"Oh," she flushed. "I'll tell you later. Max usually reports everything back to the Alpha."
"I have to. The Alpha asks and I do,” Max spoke.
"What about me? What if I ask you not to tell Blake? Don't you have to listen to me as well?" I wonder.
"You're not Luna yet. When you're Luna, come talk to me," he winked at me in the rearview mirror and I scowled again. He was like Adrian, only worse. Geez, how do these wolves live with each other?
"I'll hold you to that," I murmured.
The rest of the drive was silent. I did text Emma a few times but our conversation didn't last as long. Finally, we reached the mall. Max said he was going to wander the mall as well and we would meet up in a few hours. Brea and I went to all the girl stores but looking, fitting, waiting on line and buying really tired us out and we went to the food quart on the third floor to grab a quick bite before we go back.
"So, tell me why you didn't want to go with us to the club that night," I pressed on once we collected our food and we're sitting down.
"I thought you forgot about that," she said blushing.
"Tell me. I promise I won't tell."
"Fine. I may have a tiny crush on Adrian," she confessed and I gasp. "Please don't tell anybody.'
"I won't. When I make a promise, I intend to keep it."
"Then-" She froze.
"What's wrong?" I asked dropping my fork. Brea lifted her nose and the air and smelled it loudly.
"I smell my mate."
