Ricky
"Miss me?" I grinned.
"Ricky?" she guessed and I chuckled. Andre looked confused and suddenly possessive. "What are you doing here?"
"It's an open club?" I shrugged.
"Are you following us?"
"Who me?" I innocently wondered.
"Look, pal, you better back off," Andre threatened and I laughed.
"Ricky, if I were you, I would listen," Emma agreed.
"I would like to see what he can do," I challenged.
"A lot."
"I bet. But I bet I can do more."
"You wish," Andre scoffed.
"I did wish, and my wish came true." I sighed. "So long ago."
"Andre, can we just go in and have a good time?" Emma suggested, tugging on his shirt.
"As much as I would love to, we're actually waiting for someone."
"He's right here you know?" I cut in and Andre growled at me. Emma's face grew with fear and she turned to face him, placing her hands on his chest even though he was almost a foot taller than her.
"Andre," she said seriously. She makes him look her in the eye. "Calm down. This guy should have no effect on you or me."
"I shouldn't, but it's clear that I do," I smirked. Emma turned to me and scowled.
"You don't who you're messing with," she whispered and with my enhanced hearing I easily heard her, but I couldn't let her know that.
"I'm sorry, did you say something darling?" I held my hand up to my ear and turned my head in the opposite direction. I knew what I was asking for, and I received it. I see Andre comes up and punches me, hard. I had to pretend that I was hurt, so I stumbled back but quickly caught my balance.
"What are you?" Andre wondered.
"A human, just like you and her. You two are humans, right?" I joked with them just to see their reactions. Andre looked shocked but Emma looked worried and I laughed. "I'm only kidding mate. Don't get your panties in a twist." As I said this, I placed my hand on Andre's shoulder. He was disgusted and immediately shoved my hand off.
"You're right Emma. This guy doesn't have an effect on me. Now, let's go inside."
"Shouldn't we go home, so this guy can't bother us again?" she pointed to me while saying this.
"We're safer with our friends, don't you think?" he puts empathized on friends and I immediately understood what he meant. So, the big bad wolf isn't so big without his pack. This should be an interesting night.
"Yes, I do think. They also didn't get a chance to wish me a happy birthday," she added.
"Oh, it's your birthday?" Of course, I already knew that but they didn't know that I knew. "Happy Birthday! Let me guess, 21st?" I knew I was right.
"Yeah, and thanks. Lucky guess."
"Yeah, I'm really good at guessing people's ages. You can call it a gift. Well, it's getting cold, we should head inside."
"You're not coming with us," Andre snarled pulling Emma to her side.
"Possessive much?" I pointed and he growled back. I would too but, I couldn't risk it so I mimicked his growl in a human way.
"You're so funny," Emma sarcastically compliment and I possessed a frown.
"Oh, come on now Emma dear. No need to be mean and hurt my feelings."
"What feelings?" she scoffed.
"Hmm, I guess you're right. Well, now I'm definitely heading inside." I walked up to the bouncer and I heard Andre and Emma walked up behind me.
"Name," the male bouncer demanded.
"Vampire." He looked down the list and crossed the name off. He opened the door for me to enter.
"Enjoy your night sir."
"Thank you." I turned back to Emma and Andre who were confused and horror-struck. "I've been using that name ever since I got these." I opened my mouth and showed my pointed teeth. Of course, they were retracted but they were still sharper than average and I could still cause major damage. "I look just like a vampire, right?" They nodded and I laughed. "Good thing I'm not one, or people will be all over my ass. Well, see you in there!" I waved my hand and finally made it into the club.
I knew this would be fun. The game was just starting.
