Blake
I groaned awake as someone tried to move out from under me. Wait a minute, what? The last thing I remembered was Lili talking to Samantha. Now, I was in my bed with my beautiful mate.
"Oh good, you're awake," she said trying to sit up but my hold is still strong on her. "We need to talk."
"About what?" I wondered and she gave me a look. "Ok, ok. You're right. Ladies first."
"Well first off, I just want to say thank you."
"For what?"
"For sending in Lili. She was extremely helpful with the whole thing and we just talked. She understood but not completely since she doesn't have a possessive alpha mate to refer to, but she gets it." I growled when she described me.
"I'm not possessive."
"Oh yeah? Watch this, Ad-" she began to call and I clamped my hand over her mouth. She removed it to reveal a grin. "Told you."
"Whatever. How did I end up here?"
"Well, you fell asleep against the door and oh my gosh, when Lili opened the door, you fell and it was so funny!" I groaned when she informed me of this. I didn't find it funny at all.
"I bet," I murmured. "So, what exactly did you two talk about?"
"Me and you."
"That's it?"
"Yup," she popped the 'p.' "So, what was your very important meeting about?"
"Rogues. I'm assuming you know what they are." Sam didn't answer me. She just looked off into the distance, as if she was going back. Her face grew with fear instantly. "Um, Samantha? Are you ok?" I snapped my fingers in her face and she blinked, her face going back to normal.
"Huh? Yeah, sorry. I just zoned out I guess."
"You guess?" I c****d an eyebrow.
"Yeah, so continue."
"Right. So, there has been an incline in rogues lately and the Silver Feather Pack wanted some help to exterminate the problem. Speaking of, give me a second."
Did you guys send over the wolves? I asked Adrian and Andre.
Been sent them.
Yes.
They both responded at the same time. It was clear who responded with what. Andre was still kissing my ass even to this point when he was a T.I.C.
Thank you, Andre. What time is it? I asked Adrian only.
Almost four.
I took an unintentional nap, I explained.
I’m sorry, did you say you took a nap? What kind of Alpha takes a nap?
“Why did you growl?” Sam wondered. Did I growl? I didn’t even notice.
I have to go. I'll see you later.
No, you won't but whatever. I chuckled lightly before I turned to my mate. Her blonde hair was in a giant loose bun on top of her head and she was wearing another shirt of mine without any pants. I loved when she did that.
"Adrian," I answered her question. "Are you wearing pants?" I wondered and I brought my hand up to her bare thigh and Sam blushed. I smiled as I received an answer to my question.
"I can ask you the same thing," she muttered. I looked down and noticed I was only in my boxers.
"How did I get like this?" Sam blushed even harder when I asked this.
"I may or may not have stripped you," she confessed.
"Closer to may," I teased and she slapped my bare chest.
"Shut up."
"I'll think about it," I said and brought my lips to hers and she immediately responded back and I felt the sparks instantly. I bit down on her bottom lip and she gladly opened her mouth and I slipped my tongue in, deepening the kiss. I wrapped my arms around her waist, pulling her body closer while she wrapped her around my neck, pulling the roots of my hair. I groaned letting her know that I enjoyed what she was doing.
I let my lips leave hers so she could catch her breath and trailed small kisses on her jaw, down her neck, and over my claim. She moaned when I bit down on it softly.
"Blake," she moaned out.
"Yes?" I looked up at her.
"Don't stop," she begged and I smirked.
"Never." And I crashed my lips onto hers again, this time with more force.
Do you want to calm down? I sarcastically asked my wolf.
Whoops sorry.
My wolf let go a little bit and we enjoyed our soft kisses until they got heated again. I rolled us over so now Sam was straddling me and I was resting against the headboard, not breaking the kiss. I gripped her hips and she caught on what I'm doing and grinded down on me. I grinded my hips with her and felt my shaft hardening and Samantha moaned out in pleasure again. Sam's lips leave mine and I was guessing she needed to breathe again. She nestled her head into my neck and I did the same, only pleasuring her neck again.
"Um, Blake?"
"Don't stop?" I guessed.
"No, can you stop actually?" I snapped my head out of her neck and looked at her. She had tears in her eyes, yet they fell passed her waterline. Why didn’t she actually cry? Was she trying to act tough?
"What's wrong?" I wondered.
"Your claws," she breathed out in pain.
I looked down and she was right. They were fully out, digging into her small waist. I first retract them then softly laid my hands on her arms. I realized that there's blood, not a lot to send her to the pack doctor, but enough to drip down.
"I'm so sorry Sam. I didn't realize that my wolf was taking over. He’s just overly excited to finally have you"
"It's ok," she sniffled. She was still trying to hold back the tears of pain. She blinked really fast trying to dry them out, not using her hand to wipe them away.
"Samantha?"
"Yes?" By now the tears were mostly gone.
"Why aren't you crying?"
"What are you talking about?" she looked away from my eyes as she said this. I gripped her chin and forced her to look at me.
"You know what I'm talking about," I accused. "Why aren't you letting your tears escape? It's ok to cry sometimes."
"No, it's not," she sighed getting off my lap. The space now felt cold and empty. Sam brought her knees up to her chest and her thighs are were exposed this way. I looked for a quick second before focusing back on my mate.
"Why not? We all cry sometimes."
"Not me," she whispered.
"Why not? Are you trying to act tough around me? Because I don't care if you do cry."
"Then you shouldn't care why I'm not crying," she snapped and I flinched back in response.
"Sam, is there something you're not telling me? Does not crying have to do with what you are?"
"I'm human," she quickly said.
"Sure," I sarcastically believed. "I'm just as human as you."
"In a way, we're the same," she murmured.
"Huh? How?"
"We're human now, but we have the ability to change. Your wolf might take over out of anger or you can shift at free will," she explained.
"That's true. But what about you? How do you change?"
"By an outside force."
"Which one? Your tears?" I guessed.
"That's an example of it," she laughed.
"So, what's the general force?"
"Guess."
I groaned. "Can I have a clue?"
Sam thought hard before she spoke. "I can move freely, as long as I'm in the right place. I'm found on Earth, but not in space."
"Wow," I chuckled.
"I just came up with that," she confessed.
"It's not bad, but can I get another one?"
"Fine," she gave in and thinks harder. "A form of me is a human tear, but the general form of me is something you should fear. Don't drink me, I don't taste good. However, tasting the form you would."
I thought. And I pondered.
"So, it can move freely, like a liquid?" I guessed and she nodded. "A human tear is an example but the real thing is something I should fear?"
"Ok, maybe not that one but once you get it, I guess it kind of makes sense," she said.
"Ok? It doesn't taste good. So, bitter?" She nodded again. "Tasting the form, so tasting a tear?" She nods. "Saltwater," I whispered when it clicked. "Saltwater is found on the Earth, not in space. The human can produce tears containing salt and water. It moves freely in the ocean, but how does the fear clue work?"
"The ocean? There are animals in there? Such as sharks, our natural enemy," she whispered the last part.
"Our?" I repeated. As if... "There's more than one of you?" Sam nodded again. "Emma," I realized. "At the club the other night. When you guys were staring at each other. Were you guys mind linking?"
"Yes. We haven't done it years, but we knew that we could."
"How?"
"We know someone," she shrugged.
"So, what are you exactly?"
"You up for a midnight swim?" she got up and stood in front of the bed. I did the same thing and nodded. I found it to be a strange request but I didn’t question it. What my mate wanted she got. "We need a few things first."
"Name it."
"A car, bathing suits, towels, and a change of clothes," she listed.
"Consider it done."
"But I need to buy one because I didn't bring one."
"Ok." I looked for my jeans from earlier and removed my wallet. I took out a hundred and gave it to Samantha. "You're not going by yourself."
"Duh. I need someone's opinion. This is shopping; it's serious," she said taking the cash. "I'm going to shower then change. Who will I be going with anyway?"
I laughed. "My sister Brea."
I heard the water turn on. "Cool. Why didn't she come with us when we went to the club?" Sam asked while shutting the shade.
"She didn't want to go," I shrugged.
"Oh."
The water turned off after a while after and Sam came out in a towel. She went to her suitcase and made a face.
"Where are all my clothes?"
"In the closet," I pointed. "I put them in there when you were showering. You don't have a lot by the way."
"Thank you captain obvious. I was only planning on staying until Emma's birthday." She gasped. "Her birthday is tomorrow and I have nothing to give her. I'll look for something while I'm out. Maybe a pair of shoes."
"Um, do you know what she plans on doing for her birthday?"
"No, why?"
"She's spending the entire day with Andre. He begged to have the entire day off so he could spend it with his wife," I explained.
"Oh. That's a shame. Maybe, we'll do something the next day. Or later tonight, depending what time we come back." Sam walked to the closet, opened the door and closed it behind her. About ten minutes later, it opened to reveal my beautiful mate. It was so tempting not going over there and rip her clothes apart.
"Ok, tiger I get it. I'm cute but calm down," she said pointing down.
"Hey it's your fault,” I blamed with a smirk. Brea's downstairs waiting for you," I inform her.
"Ok, see you soon."
"No goodbye kiss?" I pouted. Sam sighed and opened the door.
"Nope, but nice try though," she winks and shuts the door.
Don't let anything happen to Sam, I warned Brea.
Of course. She's my Luna and your mate and my future sister-in-law.
I sighed. You and mother are exactly alike.
We just want what's best for you.
And what's that? I wondered.
What's best for you.
