A damsel lost in love.

Sofia walked past the glares of the students, it was her first day and she couldn't understand why she was being given such hostile looks, those questions were only built up in her head and they couldn't be answered, anyways things happened for certain reasons and she believed that was what was happening, shyly she walked into her classroom where there were even more faces glaring at her, silently she walked up to her seat and sat, waiting for the days first lesson to begin, she laid her head on her desk and was about closing her eyes when someone walked into the class, she raised her head and saw the first teacher of the standing in front of the class, "Good day class, how was your night?" he said and the class replied "it was nice" then the teacher looked up and began, "My name is Mr. Howard and I'm your biology teacher, today we shall be taking a look at reproduction, let's jot" He turned towards the board and raised his marker to write but then he turned back and placed down the marker, "I changed my mind,I shall be dictating, let's jot" he said as he began reading out lines and lines all about the definition of reproduction, as he spoke, four boys strode into the class and Sofia seemed to melt,she couldn't take her eyes off him, he was tall and muscular in nature, his biceps and arm muscles were bulging out of the sleeve of his shirt, his lips were pink and kissable, and he looked so majestic and organized, Sofia looked away from him and back to Mr. Howard who glared at the boys and said nothing, then he continued with his teaching, throughout the class Sofia couldn't help staring at him, he was just so handsome and strong and she was sure he was rich too,anyways there was just one major problem, she didn't have the nerve and confidence to walk up to him and say she liked him, she would definitely be laughed at, that negative thought put an end to everything she had been thinking, then she took her mind off things and focused on Mr. Howard's teachings. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * The school bell was rung for lunch and the students filled out of their classrooms to have lunch and to talk about a lot of things that had happened to them during their summer camp and all, Sofia remained because she couldn't face the crowd at the cafeteria, they had scared her when she first arrived, holding the side of her golden curly hair in her left hand she scribbled into her notes from her biology textbooks as she went over what Mr. Howard had taught them the previous morning,just then a dark guy strode majestically with two other boys behind him, he hadn't seen Sofia at first but when he did he walked towards her direction, "Hi, I'm Peter, the principal's son,what is your name?" He asked, looking indifferently at her, Sofia didn't respond she kept mute, as she kept on scribbling notes into her note book, "I think I'm talking to you" Peter said raising his voice at Sofia who wasn't interested in speaking to anyone, suddenly Peter pushed at her head with his fingers and she looked up alarmed but she didn't speak, she frowned and gritted her teeth within, peter pushed her head again and the boys behind him began to laugh at her, she was going to be bullied, and by the principal's son. Sofia kept her cool and began to write again, seeing how determined she was to overlook him,Peter three down all her notes and trampled them under his feet, "There you go, that should teach you some lessons" he said and waited to see her reaction, Sofia bent down and picked up her trampled notes silently tears gathering up in her eyes, but she refused to pour them out, after picking up her trampled notes, she packed everything into her bag and made to leave the classroom but then Peter sat her back down shoving her roughly into her seat, "Where do you think you're going, I'm not done with you yet, I have a lot of time to deal with mute ugly ladies" he said and spat on her face, the tears began to trickle down now in little warm droplets, "finally,she cried." Peter said to his friends and they all busted into uncontrollable laughter, suddenly another boy ran in, alarmed, tall, fair, strong and handsome, it was the guy Sofia had been admiring at the beginning of the first lessons, "peter what do you think you're doing, I told you not to" he said hurrying over to Sofia's side, "It was so much fun" he said "bullying a mute?" the fair boy asked with concern in his tone, "Alvin, you don't have to mix yourself up in this" "shes a mute for Christ's sake peter!" Alvin exclaimed, then reluctantly peter and his escorts walked out of the class, he ran his fingers through her golden strands of hair and traced it down to her face, Sofia acted fast slapping his hand off, if she hadn't he would have taken advantage of her silence,she stood up and ran off to the females toilet. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * All that had happened to Sofia that afternoon were all in the past now as she walked a group of students who were passing out cards, one of them passed a card to her and she scanned it with her eyes, an invitation to Alvin's birthday party which was supposed to be four weeks away from the present time, "make sure you're there" one of the students said as Sofia walked away from the group. As she walked away starring at the card she bumped into someone who was standing in front of her, there were several other students starring at a notice board, she squeezed herself through the group and read what was on the notice board, it was announcing the trials for cheerleading post, it was a nice group but Sofia believed she wasn't cut out for the post, suddenly someone tapped her from behind, "Do you want to put up for the post?" the person asked as Sofia turned around to see who it was, it was Alvin, she didn't want to talk to him so she went her way, "I can help you" Alvin said from behind and she stopped, "I know you're a mute and there's no way you can Express yourself by talking but, I'm ready to help you." Sofia turned to look at him then she looked about and looked at him again, "I'm not a mute." Sofia said as she looked about, "You're not?" Alvin asked, "Then why don't you talk?" he asked, "I'm a shy sort of person so I don't talk all the time" "You're one weird sort of person" "Thanks" The two smiles at each other but Sofias smile was quick to die away, "So, as I was saying, I can help you sign up for the post on the cheer leading team" "How?" Sofia asked looking at Alvin intently, "I can help you speak to the cheer leading captain" Alvin explained, Sofia could sense what was coming, men didn't really offer girls things for no reason, "Why are you doing this?" Sofia asked, "I want a date with you, at the newly opened restaurant downtown tomorrow seven PM sharp, don't be late" Alvin said this with some sort of authority that made Sofia burst into laughter, "Why are you laughing?" Alvin asked, "Nothing, I was just laughing at the way you said it" she said and then they went their separate ways.
