Louis' POV
"What did you just say?"
"You heard me, Louis. You're going to be a dad, congratulations."
I let out a carefree, mocking laugh because it was impossible. It wasn’t until I heard the noise behind the door and saw her standing there, motionless with a sad expression, that I realized this was all wrong.
"N-Nikki?!" What is she doing here so early?
"And who are you?" Rebeca asked, still looking at Nikki, who clearly had heard everything.
"I'm his friend, just his friend." Although she said it quietly, I could hear her. Hearing her say she was just my friend stung, but that wasn’t the worst part. She barely got the words out before she ran off without saying anything more.
