Senator McCulloch

Secretary McCulloch sent for Colonel DeKay. The Colonel always wore his Confederate hat everywhere he went. Sometimes, men yelled at him to take it off, and once in a while, someone would tell him if he didn’t take it off, they would take it off for him. It never worked out well for those guys. The Colonel was a strong-willed man with superior strength. Occasionally, he might let someone think they were going to “best” him, until he had enough. At that point, he would grab the guy, swiftly take him to the floor and hurt him, just a little, just enough to let him know there was plenty more, ready in reserve. They would usually quiet down. The Colonel met Secretary McCulloch at the Treasury Office to discuss the current situation.
