A man sitting behind a glass desk was passing through papers on a folder. The office was cozy and air condition kept the room temperature moderate, office was on top floor of the building with glass wall behind the man. You could see whole of city view from other skyscrapers to the cars and people passing down on the roads of the streets but couldn't hear a thing.

The man had jet black hair and a clean shaven jaw, he wore dark blue shirt which clung tightly on his muscles biceps proving he does a lot of workout, down he had on black trouser matching with brogues. His name was bolded in white capital letters on a small board front of his desk written "MR. ROD"

Office door opened and another man entered inside he had bald head and his skin tone was light dark, on his hand he carried a tablet.

"Mr Rod, I have got something for you." his voice was deep and set, he stopped in front of Mr Rod desk the name tag on his chest was written security.

Mr Rod halted passing through papers on a folder,

"better be important Kerk." his voice was hoarse then regarded kirk head of his security, Rod's eye colour were deep grey and had hard looking face which only spoke business.

Kirk handed him the tablet which he came in with, Mr Rod received it and observed the video displayed in the screen of tablet and pushed play button it was a CCTV footage. Video played with no sound, the footage showed a girl in hospital gown getting out of her ward then headed down the corridor stumbling and swaying as she walked, she reached no more than ten steps when an officer appeared at the other end of the corridor behind her, when she saw the girl officer started approaching her, the girl stopped moving then turned at him she waved both of her hand at his direction as if pushing invisible barrier, the police officer was thrown back and landed on trolley carrying hospital equipments, a girl turned and started running in opposite direction her face came into view when she passed below the CCTV camera, it was Irina Kishov a small smile formed on Mr Rod lips.

"any idea who she is?" he asked while staring at the girl's face.

"no, but we are still looking into it seemed as if could be same people you have been searching for." kirk replied.

"of course it's them." Mr Rod agreed. "how did she end up in a hospital?"

"fishermen found her, according to their story they saw her falling off the sky and fell right into the ocean, they guessed maybe could be those free spirited people who like skydiving off the plane but ended up wrong along the way." he explained.

"was there any plane?" Rod asked.

"There were none at that time." he told him.

"what time was it?" rod questioned more.

"yesterday around 8 pm, today morning is when she escaped."

"any info about her from the database?"

"there is nothing on our database but we are still searching, today morning a team was also sent to collect other CCTV footages from surrounding areas closer to the hospital."

"huh, She didn't drop from the plane and she is a ghost on our database. I may assume she isn't from around here."

kirk stayed quite letting his boss process the information's,

"have we got to worry about the officer assaulted?" Mr Rod asked while scratching his jaw.

"no, we have made follow up on him too there is nothing to worry about."

"how is it so?" Mr Rod questioned back looking kirk at the face intently.

"he is an alcoholic, head of police station keeps him on for he has a kid to take care of, he started drinking few years after death of his wife and had missed couple of shifts on his lookouts due to that behavior of his. Going around blubbering to be pushed across the room will clearly pass him for being insane, so am sure he'll keep his mouth shut for his own sake and his son's." kirk explained.

"seems all is fine then." Mr black replied as he handed him the tablet. "I want an update within the next twenty four hours, if you return with nothing better submit the badge along with your resignation letter."

The guard took the tablet and left the office. Mr Rod interlaced his fingers, now it seemed all of his wildest dreams soon will become reality. During the time he grew up, rod heard all sort of stories from his great grandfather about the humans whose existence was from another universe, his granddad told him they were the ones who introduced civilization to people which brought rapid and modern changes in earth, and that was done a thousands of years ago mundanes named it enlightenment period. People named their helpers Skylers for they believed were descendants of highest order of being.

Skylers were not only civilized but also wealthy beyond anyone's belief. On their occasional visits to earth they chose followers to hold the keys of dimensional gates which brought them to earth such followers were named crystal bloods society saw them purest of all, whenever Skyler's visited earth they were provided hospitality by their loyal ones, a place to eat and sleep. The crystal bloods become the voice of Skylers in Parliaments and governing sectors. Their will was Skyler's they protected their interest and provided ideas taught to them on how to continue bringing development. Nothing ever lasts for rulers of empires kings and Lords become tired of them, they saw Skyler as a tyrant to be eliminated before themselves were squashed beneath their thumbs, and all of empires and kingdoms agreed so they united and waged war against them to break their rule on earth, that was end of alliance between Skylers and humans.

Their eldest grandfather who started Alchim bloodline and name took that as an opportunity to offer himself wealth and fame, while empires fought war against skylers he rallied his friends and family to fight against one of crystal blood family in their city. His grandfather told him it was a fierce battle which went on weeks for crystal blood had better men and equipment their family lost their fair share of relatives, at last after months their eldest grandfather won the fight, he confiscated their wealth together with lands and mansions. From there the greatest family name of Alchim emerged and even after war with Skyler was over they still went on fighting with other crystal blood families and took it upon themselves not to stop till every last single one of them was down on the ground.

Alchim family was now popular and wealthy, they owned different companies in the country and across the sea and estates, more than that when they perished their first crystal blood family and claimed the mansion, they happen to hold one of the gates which allowed access to the other world were Skylers came from but was shut down ages before even the war had finished. Now the head of that family name and only successor was no other than Theobald Rod Alchim.

Theo had no interest in wealth for he was born in it, the only ambition driving him was seeking of more power. Appearance of a Skyler put the favour on his side. He knew some of Skyler people did posses abilities and power which normal humans didn't posses, the only abilities his eldest grandfather discovered on the time of war from them was control over elements such as water and fire he named skylers capable of performing such abilities elementals, from the footage Theo had just finished to watch the girl performed an elemental attack of air.

Theo perceived it as opportunity to use the girl in his advantage to do that he had to win over her, well if she refused there were presence of extreme measures to be employed in forcing people like them. His family members especially his father always told Theo his ambitions were same as their eldest grandfather and cunning aligning along with it, he told him in contempt but Theo took it as compliment and he never wanted to leave below that reputation. Theo wanted to make their name grater than ever and to arise fear in hearts of their enemies more than his eldest grandfather ever did.

Theo took his phone and dialed a number then waited patiently for call to pass through.

"Hello." then her remained quite for few seconds. "yes, I have got important news for you. I found an elemental."

then remained quite again listening to the other end of the line.

"CCTV caught her today morning inside the town hospital, she is an air elemental." he examined his fingers as he listened. "don't worry I won't lose her, we'll capture her and I promise on family legacy they won't escape this time, even the gateway to their world will be opened."

He then nodded in agreement with whatever was said on the other end of the line, after a time he ended the call, and kept the phone inside his trouser pocket, turned his chair sideways watching the city view. His face wasn't pleased at all.

"damn him, he can't even trust me with the gate's location!" theobald retorted.
